We stayed for a month during the Covid lockdown. Sam and Damian manage the campsite extremely well with very open and relevant communication. The ablution blocks, though dated , were extremely clean and the laundry had efficient and well priced washing machines and driers and was also spotless. The grass and sites were well maintained and we felt very secure during our time there. It was fantastic being so close to the beach for long walks and swims, and it was nice to have a good variety of restaurants nearby for takeaways. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and highly recommend it.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The park is not too big, and the amenities block is within very easy walking distance from all sites and cabins. We stayed in Cabin 7 which was a good size, clean, with a great view of the sunset each night. The cabin is well equipped with a nice, cold fridge, although it is not the most modern we've used. There is no pool, but this is not a problem with the beach across the road, and has a small playground, for those with children. Our grandchildren made use of the playground when they visited us. However, some of the equipment is not suitable for children with a disability as the 'ladders' were impossible for our granddaughter, who has celebral palsy, to negotiate. A very enjoyable stay.

We have stayed in numerous caravan parks on our travels, and Christie’s Beach would have to be one of the best ones, if not the best. The booking process and checking in were easy, and their staff were very friendly, helpful, and easy to deal with. Our site was great, concrete slab with more grass around than we have seen in a long while. Lawns were regularly mowed, and ablution blocks whilst not new, we’re in very good condition and cleaned regularly. Park has a high fence around it and gates are locked at 5:00pm making it a very secure and safe park. The beach was just about at your feet and it is one of the better beaches in the area. Plenty of beach and pathways to walk. Shops, cafes and restaurants in walking distance so more exercise and less fuel usage. We stayed here for 16 nights during which time we also checked out other caravan parks in the area. We got the best one and will definitely come again when next in Adelaide

We left booking a weekend away on a long weekend to the last minute. So this was one of the few options remaining so our expectations were not high.

Christie's Beach Tourist Park exceeded our expectations. The park was smaller than expected with one kitchen and bathroom area (which were one of the cleanest and neatly kept kitchens and bathrooms I have seen at a Park). The advantage of being small was that it added to the flair of the park because we saw other guests often which allowed us to build friendships.

For the kids, there was a small playground as well as a toys room. This allowed all the kids to come together in one spot. So they spent time in the evenings playing and hanging out. They all had so much fun.

Christie's beach is across the road and is amazing. We saw little fishes swimming, built sandcastles and swam in the crystal clear water.

Our second visit to Christies beach beach tourist park, we stayed in cabin one, overlooking the fabulous sandy beach, possibly the best view from the cabin to the ocean. Very large balcony catches the evening sunsets. The kitchen was more than adequate for our needs. Bedrooms are small however, they served the purpose. Young Lady on reception was a pleasure to chat with. We felt safe and secure. The only issue we had was the near unobtainable WiFi, we could only receive a one bar signal in a distant bedroom apparently this WiFi is the local street WiFi and not Christies beach tourist parks. WiFi was important for us as we needed to contact our home in the U.K and the time difference makes things awkward.
This having been said I would highly recommend this tourist park.

We have just stayed three nights on a campsite in our van. The location is great for the beach which can be accessed through a private gate and is very close.
We cycled along to Port Noarlunga (great for snorkeling on the reef) and Moana with its beautiful beach (which can be driven onto). The coastal scenery is spectacular in this region.

The camp kitchen is undercover and is well equipped with two indoor BBQs, electric hob, microwave, toaster, kettles and an air fryer. Also indoor picnic benches and a large TV.
Although there are two large sinks there is only one set of taps. This is wholly inadequate as it’s the only washing up sink for the whole camp and often results in queuing.

Another gripe is that we were sited opposite the camp kitchen facing the dump point. This could really do with some sort of screen to shield it from nearby campsites (a common observation also found on other G’day parks). It’s not pleasant to watch someone emptying their toilet whilst you’re having lunch! 😬

The bathrooms are clean and spacious. Particularly the showers which are nice and hot with heaps of room in the cubicles.

We would definitely stay again as the location is spot on.

We had three days here. Close to the beach, to a walk path, to shops and activities. The staff were friendly and helpful. The camp kitchen well setout with all you could want. Bins could have been emptied more regularly but this is easily rectified.

Booked in for two nights mid week ,( special offer of $99 per night). Extended for another two! What a great find, right next to the beach, cabin was great, well appointed with comfy furniture and had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Park has caravan/ camping sites as well, some seem close together and others more spread out. The location was great, pub a few blocks away, shopping centre, Colonnades about 10 minutes drive which has everything you need. Only issue we had was a planned local power outage we weren’t told about, so we just changed our plans around it! Will definitely stay again as we were pleasantly surprised at this little gem.

We stayed in a cabin, that although had a comfy lounge and modern dining suite, was in need of updating. The bathroom vanity was very dated with cracks in it along with rust.... the toilet seat was so worn and aged that it was rough to touch. White goods were very old and needed to be replaced. Although the caravan park is in a great location, its cabins are in need of refurbishing.

My husband and I have stayed here several times, both in the cabins and on powered sites and have always found it to be clean and the staff are very helpful.
It is a great location: right on the beach, lots of cafes, supermarkets and variety of shops.
A great place to base yourself while investigating Adelaide's coastal region, wineries etc.

Caravan Parks are a budget holiday for many families that have pets. Pets are a part of the family. Is it fair that a new interstate management company decide to change the pet policy without consulting return customers? Is it fair to expect families to leave their pets in boarding kennels for up to 6 weeks with a cost that could exceed $2000 (when you have two dogs) How do ordinary families even afford this??? Clear consultation and communication is imperative for the successful running of a caravan park - unfortunately this is not the values that FREE SPIRIT HOLIDAY PARKS MANAGEMENT have undertaken.😢🐶😢🐶😢🐶😢🐶😢 Just pulled the pin on Christies Beach Tourist Park in South Australia ... after speaking with new management company Free Spirit Holiday Parks Management (based in Qld) After being faithful return customers ( for seven years with my family ) we have decided to not go to this park over the entire Christmas school holidays (our booking was 35 nights) ... as Free Spirit and Holiday Park management (based in Qld) decided in mid August to NOT ALLOW DOGS in the park. Dogs were allowed last year without incident! We received an email from them on 17th August 2018 saying that they’d updated their pet policy and that we’d NO LONGER be able to bring our dogs with us 😳 We meet up with friends from interstate and Sth Aust and last year our dog enjoyed the 24/7 off leash dog friendly beach that joins Christies Beach. So far this year ( after always rebooking at the beginning of our annual summer holiday for the next year) we have paid a deposit and and extra $880 towards our holiday Boycott this park to send a clear message to the Onkaparinga Council that the new interstate (not even SA!!!!) management group are not looking after ordinary families who want to take their kids on holidays ( NB where would we get $2k to put out dogs in a boarding kennel ?🤬🤬🤬🤬) ... kennels rung have been disgusted and have said this late notice could jeopardise the well-being of some 🐕 dogs. Shame Shame Shame ... on making it hard for ordinary working families to go away with their kids and pets. — feeling heartbroken.

I know that is must be hard but usually these companies don't make these decisions lightly. Have you asked them why this was done, they may have a perfectly good reason, this may not help you but may be able to explain their reasoning. We have been to a lot of parks where dogs are allowed and the biggest percentage are responsible owners but every now and then you get one the spoils it for the rest of us.
