A nice motel located quite close to the centre of town. The rooms are a good size, very clean, well appointed with everything you need and the motel is quiet. The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay here.

When we arrived it was raining and cold, but Sandra gave us such a warm welcome,it was just great. Nothing was too much trouble. Very happy with our room, clean and bright, and outside on the pathway to the room, a lot of work has gone into the garden bed beds. Neat and well trimmed, with all sorts of little ornaments, birds little stone figure,s,etc hiding in the shrubs, or just sitting on rocks waiting to be found, great to look at and perfect for little people to see how many they can see.or find. Breakfast was delivered to our room, excellant, nice and hot and very tasty, not greasy,.

We are regular visitors at this motel and it is a very pleasant place to stay. The new owners are friendly and very welcoming, the rooms are comfortable, spacious and clean. There is a choice of blankets or doonas on the beds. The breakfasts are a good start to the day. It is very close to the train station and not far from the shops and buses.

I stayed at the Coal Valley Motor Inn while I was at Morwell. The location is by the roadside, so expect trucks and cars passing by to make an occasional sound at night. Other than that, I loved staying there! The couple, Phil and Rosemary, were accommodating and friendly. The room was clean, and had all that I needed in a hotel: soft bed, nice pillows, aircondition, flat screen TV, free wifi, small minibar for keeping food, toaster, electric kettle, complimentary tea, coffee & biscuits, towels and soap, and an iron and ironing board. I was there for a staycation mostly and would only go out in the afternoon so I loved that the room was inviting. Breakfast could be ordered and delivered to the room, with generous serving amounts. It is not near to any convenience store (granted, Morwell is small) but if one is willing to walk or drive, there's an Aldi and Coles within the town. On my last day, I was supposed to walk to the train station but the owners offered to give me a lift to the station since it was raining - for free! Would recommend it to anybody travelling by.

Rooms are quite roomy and very clean with quite a large bathroom. Great beds and had a wonderful nights sleep. Not sure about dining as we were directed to the local club for dinner only a short walk away.

Stayed at Coal Valley for business prior to Xmas & bought my young family for some local sightseeing. The service here is impeccable and professional, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are very large and very well appointed with all you would expect plus more. We had a good night’s sleep with exceptionally comfortable beds and the rooms must be sound proof as they are so quiet. The Italian coffee machine was a hit together with a range of beautiful teas. Our room was spotlessly clean and maintained to perfection; the bathroom is also perfect – large with everything anyone would need and my wife loved the designer toiletries and fluffy towels. We all enjoyed the pool on such a hot day, spent some family time there before being invited to join in celebrations for the festive season with other regular guests, a great opportunity to do some networking! Great food with some classy canapés all beautifully presented and served. Our breakfast was fantastic with a choice of room service or served in the breakfast room with everything cooked to order, piping hot and well presented. Being somewhat disappointed with my usual accommodation provider during my last stay, decided to do some local research and this has paid off well – Coal Valley is the new destination for my work team and myself .
