Well situated so close to the beautiful beach. Mantra is nice but needs an overhaul. Room was fine. We had a studio room and met our needs. Bathroom with walk in shower. Beds a bit hard but ok. Breakfast was typical buffet breakfast and plentiful. Dinner served in the larder was lovely every night . Good value when you are an Accor member with half price meals. All staff were friendly from checkin to the restaurant .

Great family location, excellent beach views and direct access to beach. Plenty to do for all ages. Restaurant on site, breakfast was great, walk to shops, park, info centre. Will not find better accommodation. Eat the ice cream.

Stay was generally good but room TV didn’t work. Breakfast was excellent. Good that there were few guests around without annoying children and their pesky relatives. Mantra well located and regularly patronised by cockatoos

A great location however the hotel is looking a little tired. Stained furniture and lots of damage to timber windows and doors. Our room was effectively just a hotel room and as such we were expecting at least second daily servicing however there was none. The floor of our room was not vacuumed (the toenail I found was not mine or my husbands). Bedding didn’t fit properly and our mattress was not centred on the base. Food and drinks in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner were lovely. Service was excellent. Parking always an issue as people just park anywhere!! Some rooms didn’t have a parking space at all. Probably wouldn’t stay again which is a shame as the area is lovely. Note: don’t stay (or makes plans to go somewhere else) Tuesday/Wednesday as most of the shops and restaurants are closed.…

First the customer service when I checked in was fantastic they looked after me I checked in early I didn’t booked a room I come in see if I could get a hotel room they were very helpful and I would stay here again and again the apartment was fantastic too I’m in a one bedroom apartment

Weekend stay at Mantra Lorne was disappointing. Standard of room was terrible. Dirty oven and cooktop. Towels had holes in it. Shower in bath very small and dirty. Not worth the money. Only good thing was the location. Walking distance to shops and beach. Room spoilt the weekend away.

We stayed here for three nights over the cup weekend booked a two bedroom seaview apartment. Check in was easy but no mention of places to eat, visit, etc which would assist. We arrived at our room and was greated by a foul smell in that the previous tenants had cooked fish in the room prior to our arrival. This room was also quite in need of a refurnishment, the kitchen was vey worn, water leaks and generally not great considering the money we paid (the rate was more than Crown per night). We spoke with reception who were very helpful and found us another room. The new room was much better in smell and condition however we now did not have a desinated car spot underneath and lost a laundry in the room. This place is well overdue for a renovation and a good scrubbing in general. The sea view was virtually non existant due to the trees so they need to revise the lisiting stating restricted views. I think a garden view overlooking the tennis courts would be better value. …

A great place to stay on the Great Ocean Road! Fabulous facilities including a heated pool, on-site restaurant and bar, all right on the beach. Highly recommend. Within walking distance to shops and restaurants.

I have been to the mantra lorne many times and have always enjoyed my stay but on this occasion I am pretty sure I was given the worst room at the resort. I was supposedly given an upgrade with a view over the roof top of the main building. The worst part was the noisy industrial motor running 24/7 on the rooftop of the main building outside my bedroom window. I have no idea why you would allocate this room to anyone when the resort was half empty? Maybe just unlucky this time! I would recommend the resort for the facilities, lovely staff and location but just don’t stay in the Princess Louise building behind the main building and near the restaurant.
