The only positive about this motel was the location, close to the main restaurants and shops. The outside of the building was tired and dirty and the inside wasn’t much better. For the price, I fully expected the room to be dated, but not filthy. The room clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned for a long time. I would certainly not recommend.

Easy to find! 1 night stay. The room was not the cleanest I was ever in and the blankets on the bed seem suspicious from a "clean" viewpoint. The shower head was at best dispensing water in way which suggest lack og maintenance. Outdoor area dirty and disgusting, but head on the nail was that the kitchenware was not clean. This should be a last resort for you.

Clean and cheap room. Great location- close to the main town, room dated but heater worked fine and it was a chilly night. Woke up in the night to silverfish crawling around. In the morning went to make a coffee for the 2 of us, 1 coffee cup in cupboard and that was dirty.

I have rather mixed feelings about this motel. While some things were excellent, others were well below par. The water was the hottest I have had in a motel - excellent. However, it was a good thing I had taken my own shower gel as the one provided on the wall of the shower was empty, and the bars provided measured about half an inch (1.2 cm). There was supposed to be kitchenette in the room, but what was provided was a joke. 1 coffee cup, 1 bowl, 1 plate, about 7 or 8 spoons, forks and knives. There was also a very sad lack of coffee, sugar and milk provided. It is almost like management assumed there was only going to be 1 guest. The microwave however was one I can only hope for in my own home. The bed was an absolute dream with plenty of spare pillows, but the wall by the bed had coffee still spilt on it, and a childs hand print that clearly had been there for some time. Being a cleaner I am familiar with walls and stains. The reverse cycle air con was a dream, as was the double blinds. The motel itself is quite well located, with walks well marked out and a visitors centre right nearby. A Foodworks nearby provided dinner and desert and is within easy walking distance. Parking was also a bit of an issue, with spots under the building quite hard to access in the Subaru Forester we had. Once others had parallel parked in the outdoor spots, it was quite difficult to get out from under the building. Overall, I would give this place a middle of the road rating. We spent just over $100 to stay there, so I suppose it was not too bad. Also, the cheeky Sulphur Crested Cockatoos that make themselves at home on the balcony railings are great for comic relief. They are so insistent, there are warning NOT to feed them. I would stay there again, but I feel they could definitely improve. It is not suited to wheelchairs because there are no street level units. There were bigger units for families even though ours was for 2.

Absolute disgrace, from the main entrance/office foyer which is absolutely atrocious with a hand written sign on the door stating there was no one there please call a number, then an Asian guy spoke to someone who then interpreted what we were there for….to the rooms which were disgusting, mouldy showered & t towels ….said they had a bbq area …omg overgrown, dirty & unusable 🤢 we are not fussy but this is absolutely disgraceful & I have mo idea how it would ever pass any inspection ..is there not a certain standard hotels have to pass 🤢🤢🤢🤢

This place easily makes the top three of the worst places ever to stay. From the abandoned reception which looked like a bomb had gone off with junk strewn everywhere to the non English speaking gent who tried to give us our keys, dirty kitchenette to the non working smoke alarms, crusty blinds, mould in the bathroom, filthy non working bbq, it makes Fawlty Towers look like the Hilton. The photos on booking.com were clearly from another place or taken when it opened half a century ago. Clearly nothing has changed since then.

The rooms have everything you need and the mini kitchenette with microwave is a bonus. The bath towels are the best quality I have had in any hotel - big and fluffy. The motel is just a bit tired and could do with an upgrade. The location is good with an easy walk into town or the beach. Road noise and other guests leaving the car park early can be a problem so rooms at the rear of the property are best

Absolutley disgusting. Pulled up outside reception to be greeted by a sign saying, no one here please call this number, this is never a good sign. Called the number, went to voicemail, waited 5 min then some asian woman came out to greet me, limited english. Went in to reception and the place was a brothel, kids toys everywhere, not sure if these were the owners or managers, but the kids clearly used the reception area as their play area. Got to the room, filthy, broken blinds, and an old sheet cover on the settee, bathroom vanity not cleaned with rust visible around the basin. We had pre-paid, but turned around and walked out and found another hotel. We blew our money but at least ended uo staying in a comfortable, clean motel up the road. These cruds take your money 2 days in advance, so of course you have no avenue to a refund, all I can do is to warn others to keep away from this bug infested filthy dump

Booked 1 night accommodation at The Coachman Inn, Lorne on our recent road trip along the Great Ocean Road. Upon arrival we went to self check in at reception and they had told me the wrong room number in the sms message, it had been allotted to someone else so they found another room for me. We were very disappointed at the low level of cleanliness. The fridge was dirty and kitchen window had ivy growing inside through the fly screen. I looked outside the kitchen window and saw the overgrown blackberry bushes and ivy running rampant. Clearly no gardening done for a long time. The bathroom was not cleaned as shower tiles were mouldy, the shower ledge below the window had old sticky shampoo all over it and the floor was not washed as a chunk of sticky looking food was lurking behind rhe door. Had a bad night's sleep on the soft sagging mattress. Really trying to find something positive to say and only thing I can is that they outsource the laundry so the sheets looked clean. We could not even see the staff as reception is never open and you can only deal with them over the phone. Some kind of a welcome on arrival/departure and human interaction would go along way. It's like the owners just don't care and show little interest in the motel industry. I do not recommend this place.

Disgusting . Definitely worst motel/ accommodation I have ever stayed in . There was used tissues / rubbish visible in pull out bed , mould throughout bathroom , kitchen appliances were dirty and the bed linen was really gross . Thankfully booking.com refunded us our second night and we found much nicer and cheaper accommodation elsewhere
