Very average tired 3 star excessively priced. View of the adjacent rooftop and courtyard from the shared full floor balcony with "water glimpses". Charged the same price for this as friends on the top floor with better rooms, private furnished balcony and uninterrupted water views. I would suggest you check your room first to see if you indeed get the ocean views advertised. I wouldn't return.

M6 husband and I stayed at the sandridge from the 4th to the 8th of January a getaway for my birthday, great location, central to everything food and shopping across the road from the beach. As an assistant hotel manager and previous housekeeping manager I want to thank housekeeping the room was clean and tidy we asked for 1 extra towel but the gave us more. We plan to stay again next year The view from our balcony was fantastic

We went in on off-chance and had a choice of rooms. We chose to go for the sea view ‘Executive’ room on 1st floor to front of building with a balcony. Great bed, lovely warm room (one I worked out that AC was also a heater), tea/coffee making facility inc. milk in the fridge, heating lights in the bathroom. There was even a walk-in wardrobe area! Didn’t take a photo inside the room but did take a couple of the view. A little gem of a place in Lorne. So glad we found it.

The most uncomfortable bed I’ve tried to sleep on. The bathroom was tiny, the bath would only fit a small child, the washbasin was outside the bathroom. It was very expensive for a very, tired outdated room. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Fantastic value room reasonable size, great location. Large windows to view the beach across the road . Good shower, clean and comfy. Tissues would've been good. Carparking terrible, tiny spots. Safer to park on the street. To hear the receptionist swearing viciously at some people she was arguing with was a bit of a shock.

Yes, the Sandridge offers beach views and is in the heart of Lorne. However, the television picture froze continually so in frustration, we just switched it off. The fridge didn't keep our food or drinks cold. Oh well, that's the way it goes, we thought. But the worst and most unacceptable thing in our opinion is that the residents' balconies are very close together, only separated by a see-through shade cloth and residents are allowed to smoke on their balconies. We were unfortunate enough to have two chain-smoking families on either side of us so we couldn't sit on the balcony and in fact, we had to keep the balcony sliding door shut because the smoke drifted into our room. We found this to be completely unacceptable. Also, there were no fly screens on the balcony door so on those rare moments when we opened the door for some fresh air, in came the flies. We wouldn't stay here again. Absolutely no consideration given to non-smokers or those who suffer from asthma.

We were supposed to stay 2 nights, but left after 1. We stayed in a deluxe sea view room. We very horrified by the dirt, dust and live in spiders. The room was tired and in desperate need of a scrub. Do your self a favour and look somewhere else. Just a few of the pictures.

I stayed 3 nights in the street front deluxe room. You get a great view over Lorne Bay and the motel is directly in the centre of the towns main esplanade. It wasn't cheap I paid $170 p/n, the room was clean, good heating/cooling, but could benefit from an overall freshen up. I was really disappointed and frustrated that the television only received the local free to air channels, and the reception in Lorne is terrible, the picture regularly froze, given the nightly rate they should include Foxtel or Netflix, as many cheaper Motels do. Also take your own soap, the soap they provide is tiny, about the same size and thickness of a 20 cent coin.
