We stayed in apartment 2 which is right at the front on the first floor. First the positives It’s close to the lovely cowes beach which is great for kids. It’s close to the town so easy to go to the shops and restaurants by walk although it’s on a hill so you will get a shot work out. The beds are comfy The pool is ok but freezing cold, kids didn’t seem to mind though. Has a decent sized balcony The not so positives The bathroom needs to be completely demolished, no exaggeration, it’s an accident waiting to happen. The bath is very dangerous to get in and out of and the shower if you are to call it that, is in the bath. The water comes out in a trickle even when the taps are on full. You either get scalded or freeze . There is no in between. (I’m told by reception that the rooms are being refurbished next month including the bathrooms ) Couch is uncomfortable Internet is hit and miss I received an email from reception when I booked in asking for bed set up and asked if we could have a king and two single beds in the second room. I also asked if we had to bring our own linen and a couple of other things but the only reply I got back was that all beds are queen and two single beds. No response for the rest. I emailed back asking for a response and got none. FYI, the main bed was a king (and comfy) and yes they do provide bed linen and towels. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everyone outside your room just walking to their rooms as if they are walking beside you. One thing I found was very odd was the fact that they say the smoke detectors go straight to the fire department and that they are very sensitive and if there is a call out you have to pay. so you have to use the toaster under the range hood but the cord doesn’t extend that far. Really odd! If I knew that the bathrooms were fixed including the water pressure and regulation and sound proofing was done I’d consider coming back. The place has Lots of potential but has been left to deteriorate and feels like there is no care.…
Beautiful large ground floor apartment. Large room containing lounge, dining and kitchenette. Large bedroom. Walk through laundry, shower, toilet, bath and sink room with sliding doors to separate each section. Bath was disgraceful, it was rusty, edging on tile surround coming off, basin sink taps wobbly, floor tiles uneven. Other than wet these areas the room was great. Enjoyed having large sliding door off lounge room to small outdoor sitting area and the soothing sound of the water in the pool only metres away. Free off street parking. Nice easy walk to Main Street shops, cafes and restaurants. I would stay there again but not in room 12 as I’d hope that others would be in better condition.
The only thing going for the apartments is how close it is to the shops and beach and nothing else. The rooms are neat, but not clean - carpets not being vacuumed when you see toast under the couch. Stayed in apartment where the sliding glass door was jammed and despite requesting for it to be repaired twice, still not fixed. The electric stovetop was slow to heat up and clothes dryer filter was covered with dirt and dust! The apartment manager, Tony was rude, obnoxious and condescending who needs to be re-trained or moved on from this position - he made the apartments looks even worse than they are! (If possible!) We have been going to these apartments for over 25+ years but this was the last time. Not worth the money. We will try "The Waves" in 2021
Wonderful large appartment with balcony and lush tree as my view.Close to the shops I needed and wine bars.excellent.easy on site parking.peaceful and no noise from other guests.swimming pool and spa easy access.
Lovely apartments, nice and quiet and great location. The Manager, Tony, couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, so nice to feel special and welcomed. The apartments are a bit tired, but very clean, beds were wonderful, TV was a decent size, had all the amenities you need. Just a very short walk to the main street. Highly recommend
