Had 2 sites for 3 nights. Sites are large and well kept with lush grass. Sites are generally in an open area with only a few significant trees. Some sites have some dappled shade. A little walk to the toilets but the toilets/showers are clean and functional. Pool area is lovely. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Close enough to town to walk in to restaurants and Cowes pier. Only about 300m from powered sites to Coles.
Checking in was seamless using a machine outside the office, and so was checking out. The cabin was spotless and it has all the amenities we need. My eldest LOVED the bunk bed! Hosts were easy to contact before our stay and prompt in their replies. It's at a great location as it's very close to town. Would much prefer it if there was heating in the bedrooms, though. There is heating in the lounge area, but if you shut the bedroom doors, it can get quite chilly in the winter nights. I'd definitely consider this place the next time we visit Cowes!
We stayed here for 4 nights, and had a very enjoyable time. We got to swim in the pool twice which was fun, albeit a bit chilly. There was a games room too, which was fun. Our cabin was very clean, and generous with linen and towels. The cabin was small, especially the shower, but it was adequate for the 3 of us. Our daughter loved having two sets of bunk beds to sleep on. Apart from the shower being very small, the only other comment I would make was the bed in the master bedroom was not very comfortable, unfortunately. Other than that, we would recommend this park. It was in walking distance to the shops, restaurants and beach. We would definitely go back. Thanks for the stay!
I stayed in one of the Superior Studio rooms for a long weekend and it had everything I needed. There was a full sized fridge, microwave, TV, toaster etc. I appreciated the room having a decent shower too, very responsive and quick to dish out the warm water. A bit of a rarity in my experience. Just up the road barely 5 minutes walk there is a Coles. And slightly further down the road is a Woolworths with a Subway outside. You won't find McDonald's or Hungry Jack's here, not that I was necessarily looking. But if you're after some take out there is a fish n'chip shop, curry house and pizza place nearby too. The beach and Cowes jetty is about a 10-15ish casual walk away. Lovely to take a leisurely early walk to the beach to take in the morning air. I can't speak of what else Amaroo Park offers, but they do have a swimming pool, bbq facilities so that might interest you. And though I had minimal contact with the staff they were very nice. I'd recommend staying here, it was quiet, close to the main shops in Cowes and reasonable distance to the local attractions. …
I stayed at Amaroo park in Phillip Island, Victoria. The location is great, walking distance to shops and the beach. Very hospitable owners. I will stay here again. Phillip island is a beautiful, beautiful island. 😊🐨🐧
