Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We just stayed over the new years break, really nice & cosy Cottage. (Banksia)
We wish we could've stayed longer as we didn't want to leave. The bed was so comfortable, as well being a great lay out of the cottage.
It was handy just having the BBQ on the rear patio, as well being in a nice quiet location.

Loved this place, was larger than expected, enjoyed a great soak in the spa, self contained amenities were great, and the owners (new I found out) went over and above with customer service. I'll definitely be back. I travelled for a friends birthday event, couldn't get an uber so the owner dropped me off !!! Thanks guys.

We stayed at one of the cottages for 2 nights and it was fantastic. Really home from home and a garden patio to do a BBQ in. Wished we could have stayed longer. You need a car to get around. Loved it and fully recommend it if you want to get away for a quiet break.

We had three good nights here.It is a very spacious cottage with front and back verandah overlooking gardens. We had the Melaleuca cottage at the end very private. It had a well appointed kitchen with everything you needed. We enjoyed watching the firetails making their nest out the back and being woken each morning with the singing honeyeater tapping on the window probably can see its own reflection. Each cottage also had their own bbqs.We had one bedroom with a 2 way bathroom.Loved all the trees out the back and so did the birds. It is quite close to Nobbies and penguins.Fantastic place to stay.Electric blankets were good and wood fire everything was very well kept would recommend this one to couples and more than one night very relaxing

Thanks Sally, sounds like you had a great break! We are so lucky to be able to share our beautiful property & wildlife with our guests. We are constantly surprised by the variety of birdlife that we see & it changes from season to season, but we do love our resident New England Honeyeaters. Wayne & Denise

Lovely tidy property and very dark for a great sleep and short drive to cowes.
The trees at the rear of the Banksia cottage could be cut back....but the dog loved running around and.was all fenced in from the road - will definately stay again.

These cottages are in a tranquil setting, a short drive from Cowes, the Penguin Parade and the Knobbies.

The property consists of the owners’ residence at the front and the two cottages at the rear. The veranda at the rear of the cottage look out to a serene bushland vista, which makes an ideal spot to relax with a drink. The cottage is very clean and nicely fit out.

After you book you will be given an access code (by email or text) to retrieve the cottage key from the padlock safe. Make sure you follow it up if you don’t receive it (there was a mix up for me, but fortunately Wayne — a very friendly fellow — was at home and able to give me the code).

I recommend these cottages if you are staying on the island.

I fell in love with this little cottage, I did not want to leave.
One night was not long enough.
They have a great little kitchen to cook in.
I loved the large bathroom and we were able to have a romantic spa bath.
It's such a great place to escape and to feel at one with nature.
