Our motel has both family and singles catered for. We have a range of rooms to suit most sinarios. Queen rooms, Bunk rooms for small families and Family or Interconnecting rooms for larger groups. We now also have our fully renovated 2 bedroom house available. Both bedrooms with King size beds, flat screen t.v. and ensuite to both. Our motel is just one hour inland from the Great Ocean Road and central to Warrnambool, Ballarat, Geelong and 1.15hrs from Avalon airport. Colac is the Gateway to the Otway National Park and is on the end of the Volcanic chain with stunning views of the lakes and craters in our district. Wanting to plan a short adventure?. I recently stayed 2 nights at this motel. My room was extremely comfortable and had everything I could have needed including a kettle, toaster, microwave, hairdryer, electric blanket and even a USB port for charging. Even though the room was relatively small there was a lot of storage space. The room has been totally renovated, lovely bathroom with a rain shower and everything was spotlessly clean (and I can be fussy when it comes to cleanliness). Lovely linen and towels. There was car parking at the door so it was easy to unload and load the car. Graeme at reception was very welcoming and helpful right from my phone call to make the booking. I could not fault this motel and would definitely stay again next time I'm in the area.

We booked for two nights & it is not difficult to see why the "No Vacancy" sign was up for both nights. Graeme had done us a big favour, & when we arrived, he took us to our room, showed us how the TV & WiFi worked, & generally made us feel very welcome. Our room was spotless & very well appointed- TV, kettle, toaster, luxurious towels, spotless bathroom, all made for a very comfortable stay. Parking was right outside our door& our room was well away from the road so there was no traffic noiseThere is a guests' laundry & BBQ area, although we used neither. Graeme suggested where we should eat & where we shouldn't & his recommendation for the former was spot on. After the first night, our room was serviced which came as a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was available if required. Overall, we were delighted & next time we are in Colac, we will be making a beeline to the Otway Gate. Rick R

A stone's throw from the city centre, this motel has been recently renovated to a high standard and a goodly amount of thought has gone into practical and sensible attention to detail, from easily accessable power outlets and USB charge points on both sides of the bed to Tesla charge points for EVs in the parking areas. The TV is a 50" Sony Android and gives access to Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube (previous occupants have kindly left their accounts open), not the trashy, tiny TV you usually find. The cleanliness cannot be faulted and the staff are exceedingly friendly and eager to assist. Free access to laundry facilities is a very welcome bonus.

Easy to book online, surprised at the cleanliness and standard of amenities in the room and a warm sincere welcome as well as genuine good wishes for a safe journey made this a very pleasant overnight stay. The room (number 1) was obviously newly renovated and decorated. Finishing touches were thoughtfully provided…a USB port next to the bed for charging devices, fresh milk for a cuppa not long life milk and a clean iron and ironing board. I would highly recommend staying here. Although on the main road the rooms were silent and sleeping was easy.

Gaz and Shaz are so welcoming and coming back from a days work they were always so welcoming and big smiles to brighten your day. Rooms are fully renovated, clean and feels so inviting. Breakfast delivered through the hutch was always a well anticipated event in the morning. Shaz always cooks with fantastic country style. Convenience of IGA next door is a bonus and with great opening hours. Although it is on the main road through Colac the traffic is minimally heard from the back rooms.

Found this motel to be very welcoming, with comfortable beds and a nice cosy room. There was enough space for all three adults. A table and three chairs as well as crockery, glassware and cutlery made eating in the room comfortable. Booked directly with the motel and received an excellent rate.

This humble country highway motel is the best one of its type that I have stayed in. It looks ordinary on the outside, but the renovation inside the room has been done well. The white paint makes it look smart and the bathroom is great. They provide a microwave, kettle and toaster, fridge a good amount of cutlery, bowls, plates and mugs. You can get some provisions at the IGA supermarket two minutes walk away. The absence of the mini bar is welcome.
The beds are very comfortable. The motel is on the highway so there is car noise but there did not seem to be much traffic at night and it certainly did not disturb our sleep. The air conditioner is a new one so is quiet and works well.
The fan in the bathroom turns on automatically with the light and is very noisy but the shower works well. The towels were large and fluffy and everything was very clean.
In the morning we took our breakfast outside and ate in the sheltered garden. There are seats and a large table as well as a barbeque. We ate while listening to the birds (and some car noise from the road). It was very enjoyable.

Had the pleasure of staying here last weekend and we were thrilled by every aspect of it. We had a large comfortable room which was impeccably maintained. The bed was superb, the shower was perfect, but the very best part was the owner who will be your favourite person while you’re in Colac. We stayed for just one night and found a lovely place for a stopover. The room had been renovated and the bathroom is updated. The room was small but very comfortable. Parking is a little challenging in a larger car. We were greeted by the relief managers and they were very nice. They did mention that we would have paid less if we had called to motel directly instead of booking online. The cooked breakfast was a treat for us. Started the day off well. We would stay again.
