We stayed 2 nights here and Maree was the perfect host - friendly and informative but never intrusive. The accommodation is immaculate with lovely French style furnishings and our room had a breathtaking view over the river towards the ocean. The breakfast is only continental but not disappointing as it includes home made granola, delicious coffee and fresh orange juice. You won't be disappointed with your stay here!

What can we say? - this is simply one of the best places we have ever stayed. Maree is an absolute gem of a host, the accommodation is clean, extremely comfortable and full of character, breakfast is simple but contains home made and very tasty items (muffins!!), and as for the view.....!!! Thank you so much for a wonderful couple of days, we hope we can come back and see you again!

From the moment my sister and I stepped into the courtyard of this guest house we sighed in relief of the tranquility, and beauty of the place and it's spectacular location!! My sister chose a gem of a place!! We were greeted by our host, Christine who was superb from the beginning to end!! Rooms are furnished in exquisite French furniture, beautiful linen, and attention to detail adds to the experience and is a feast for the eyes.

We stayed in the suite with ocean view, 2 separate bedrooms, 1 with a view of the southern ocean!! So beautiful.

As suggested by Christine, we sat on the verandah with ocean views, and watched the sunset over the Otway's with a glass of wine!!

Breakfast was delicious and served to us in the dining room. What a treat!! There is a sitting room full of wonderful books, comfortable furniture, and views of the ocean. Another spot to enjoy a glass of wine!!

Easy walking distance from everything!! Loved our stay, highly recommend!!
Thank you Christine.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of February. We enjoyed it very much the only problem we had was the weather the second day but that is outside the control of the host but he had the rest perfectly under control.
The guesthouse itself is wonderfull. You have a private space that consists of a bedroom and ensuite bathroom (with toilet). This space is not large enough to live in but there is a wonderful large living room that you share with to other guests. All the rooms are immaculate clean.
In the shared living room are complementary chocolates and port (tawny) that you can use. We used it both nights and the used glasses were already been taken care of the next morning.

The host is really friendly, We loved talking with him and it was always a pleasure to meet him. In the morning he prepares your breakfast. The breakfast is really good with lovely homemade muffins.

The Apollo Bay Guest House is an excellent B&B, that is located by the water with peaceful views and a tranquil ambiance. The overall layout of the property is wonderful and the courtyard area is a taste of what is to come. Whilst we only stayed one night, the well appointed rooms in the main guesthouse were immaculately presented. The continental breakfast was a nice addition to our stay. I particularly liked the sitting rooms designed for quiet reflection, and of course breakfast. The decor and appointments in this property belies it’s age. I would highly recommend this guesthouse. It’s a real gem.

We stayed there 3 nights
Very warm welcome and very good location we can go to dinner in town on foot.
The decoration of the house is a little surprising but it is well described on their site so no bad surprises…but there is nothing French about it 😉
Stuart welcomes guests very well.
Impeccable cleanliness, rooms cleaned every day.

Breakfast is a little disappointing without organic product with fruit juices too industrial to be consumed
With the type of house we expect a perfect breakfast but nothing too serious

Beautiful and cozy duplex cottage was provided to us. Host lady is super warm and friendly. Guided us very well on nearby activities and things to do. Had a wonderful Christmas morning breakfast. The river and beach and the mixing of both made for a heavenly view - be it morning sunrise or golden sunset. We just didn't want to leave from there!

Very old-fashioned B&B, which was really not our taste. Very warm welcome by Stuart, who does his very best to make you feel at home.
Breakfast is limited because there is no cooking, so fresh yoghurt with muesli and toast with jam, honey and peanut butter. Espresso and capuccino and home-baked muffins.
Apollo Bay is also not a very lively place and restaurants are very basic.

This guesthouse is superbly located with a view on the bay; very tranquil. The exterior looks like an old villa, perfectly maintained; the interior is the surprise: fully cladded in French antique panelling and furniture.
The hostess was lovely and helpful in suggesting restaurants, sightseeing tips and things to do. The breakfast is adequate, even without a hot part.

We stayed for one night travelling from Adelaide to Melbourne, only wish we could have stayed longer and really appreciated the hotel as it is intended. The time we were here, we experienced very friendly welcome, room was lovely and views over the ocean were breath taking. If we are ever lucky enough to be in this area again, we will certainly be booking our next stay.
