Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Upon arriving, we were pleasantly greeted by a wallaby. We assume he/she was on the payroll, as we didn't see any human staff during our stay. Our room key was left at the door of Reception. Our Villa had uninterrupted views overlooking the water. Unfortunately, the night we stayed, the restaurant was closed so we had dinner in nearby Apollo Bay - about a 10 minute drive. The room itself was a bit worn/dated, and would benefit from some painting to freshen it up. The decor was a mix of dated and modern furniture. The bathroom had a washing machine in it which makes the bathroom very confined, and the space for the toilet very narrow. The sliding door to the balcony could not be locked, however, it'd be unlikely someone would climb up onto it. The property itself is in a very peaceful setting, and it was a shame we couldn't experience the restaurant. We left feeling underwhelmed. We had been recommended to stay here by friends and perhaps our expectations were too high.

We absolutely loved our stay here. We had the studio unit and the views were stunning. The room was very comfortable. We also had dinner at the restaurant and the meal was exquisite. Great meal and great services. Would definitely recommend!

A few kms before Apollo bay we turned right and drove 3 kms up a windy road through a forest. We turned up a steep driveway and arrived at this absolute paradise. Our villa had the most spectacular view imaginable. An 180 degree ocean view with massive trees surrounding the property. On our second day we saw a wallaby, koala , kookaburra and numerous brightly coloured parrots. The tranquility and beauty of this place is food for the soul.

Wonderful place! First of all the amazing view and the calming feeling we got as soon as we got here are indescribable!! Then, entering the villa we were delighted to see that is was very clean, tidy, and attention was given even to the smallest details! You can tell people here care to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Friendly stuff and willing to help with everything we needed. I strongly recommend this place!!! Maria, Cyprus

My husband and I stayed one night at Chris’s Beacon Point Villas and we were blown away by the view and the size of the room. The villa was perched on the side of a hill with long range views down to the water and wall to wall to floor to ceiling windows all the way across the back of the unit. We were treated to a wall full of stars during the night and the most incredible sunrise the next morning - it was like going to sleep waking up to a giant, beautiful mural that nature painted. The villa was very large, squeaky clean and fully equipped. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open the day we were there so we self catered in our villa for dinner and breakfast with no difficulty at all. We were there in winter and the bed was fitted with electric heaters which kept us very comfortable even though it got chilly at night. The only reason I gave this property four instead of five stars is because the villa is not updated (it’s a little dated) which in my opinion means it can’t be called a five star property but that doesn’t mean there is anything to be concerned about. I would be thrilled to stay at Chris’s again and next time hope I can try his restaurant too!

We have been travelling along the great ocean road. The last place we stayed was here. The rooms all look over the ocean and it was a joy to hear the ocean. Only problem was being woken up by the light pouring in the skylights! We ate at the restaurant and the food was very good, along the Greek theme. I was delighted with every mouthful! The staff were all friendly and helpful, explaining any dish I asked about. We had such a fabulous time, we hope to go again when we do the same trip . Thanks for such a lovely experience

Absolutely beautiful location up in the trees overlooking Apollo Bay with spectacular views and surrounded by wildlife. We had several birds including a Kookaburra on our balcony and saw a Koala right outside our apartment. Apartment was well equipped with a fantastic shower and comfortable beds, and the breakfast basket was delicious. The restaurant was one of the most stunning settings that we’ve dined in with professional and friendly staff and a Greek style menu that contained some of our favourite Greek dishes as well as some local specials. We had a very good Stifado, some very nice wine and an amazing Creme Brûlée. The accommodation was great value for money, the restaurant was relatively expensive but well worth it for the exceptional quality of food and the setting and for a fine dining experience. Only thing that would have further enhanced our stay would have been Wi-fi in the apartment (available in the restaurant though) You definitely need a car to get to local amenities. We loved it and would highly recommend it as a place to stay or place to eat out on a special occasion.

The views are to die for. The accommodation is fine and good value. Two bedroom with an open plan kitchen dining lounge area and small balcony where you can enjoy the view with a glass of Shiraz. Bonus is the excellent restaurant on the premises Note there is no breakfast service in the restaurant, apparently they will bring you a box breakfast to the rooms, but would probably go out rather. Excellent for a night or two, and close to Apollo Bay

Beautiful view and location. However something was wrong with the pipes in the bathroom- water had a funny smell and a slight colour. We used the shower instead, which was fine, and rest of the room was clean and tidy.
