Four nights at Unit 2, Beeches by the Sea, went very well in the depth of a Victorian winter. The reverse cycle heating worked a treat and kept the apartment warm despite the chilly conditions outdoors.
Beeches by the Sea is only about 100 metres back from the beach, and we enjoyed some very pleasant walks along the foreshore, and along the Great Ocean Road into the business centre of the town.
The unit has a magnificent polished hardwood floor throughout, which looked great and proved very resilient with the foot traffic, both human and dog. The decor of the unit has been updated in recent years and is both stylish and practical. Having a full kitchen, with cooktop, oven, microwave and family sized fridge was very useful. Throughout, the unit was impeccably clean, bright and a pleasure to live in...didn't want to leave!

My family and I stayed in villa 1 for the weekend and throughly enjoyed it. Check in by lock , easy , manager rang gave all details beforehand. Great service. Comfortable couch in lounge, nice round dining table with comfortable cane seating. The beds ,2 bedrooms 1 with queen ,the other 2 singles , are comfortable too! . The bathroom is fine (love the green tiles) and had nice showers that didn’t run out of hot water. Big expansive windows in the lounge/ dining where you can see the ocean , when standing up. You are only a few houses back from the great ocean road and all throughout our stay you can hear the ocean. Very relaxing. The kitchen has everything you need oven stovetop, toasty machine, microwave, big fridge, it even supplied Apollo bay coffee and Forrest chocolate! Local delicacies. I was impressed you supplied glad wrap and Palmolive hand soap too! The little thoughtful touches are great!

We bought our well behaved border collie and there was plenty of grassed area for her. It was wonderful to be able to bring her inside because she is house trained. Dog owners note: beautiful dog friendly property keep to good standards, pick up after dog, no barking it makes an all round lovely experience for all and quality places like this will continue to let dogs in.
There is an outdoor seating/ table area ( handy for fishermen) in the front of the villa with its own car park space.
The whole villa was very clean and well presented and my 17 year old son as soon as we arrived said we have to come back here!
A lovely stay , well worth paying the money. We definitely will be back.

We keep coming back to this beautiful place in Winter for many reasons - it's quiet (though you can hear the waves crashing at night) and bright, warm, comfortable and clean and has everything you need for an easy stay.
The location is perfect - the beach is so close and the local shops are only a short walk away, there's nothing you need to do except sit back and enjoy the birds and the garden. If you're staying in Apollo Bay, stay here!

Another lovely stay! The beds are comfortable , heaters are great ( essential for winter in the Bay) and the property is immaculately clean. See past reviews. We are return customers. We love the garden area for our dog , the big rooms and I love the large light filled windows. The heated towel rack and sky light in the bathroom are great. Beeches is well supplied with essentials.
Quiet , warm , and you feel comfortable and ‘at home’ at Beeches. We’ll be back in November and then again next July for our 2023 winter escape. ( yes, Jess we’ll be rebooking!)

We were lucky enough to be able to stay the Beeches by the Sea at very short notice for a short break. The host kindly let us bring our very well behaved dog too. The Villa is very close to the beach, you can hear the sea roaring which we loved. The Villa has two bedrooms, a very comfy queen bed in the main and two singles in the other, There is plenty of space for clothes. Everything is very tastefully decorated and it has every thing you need for a short stay. The beds very comfy and had electric blankets (its was winter). The lounge is very comfortable and the heater was more than adequate to keep the Villa warm. I loved the green tiles in the bathroom. The kitchen has everything you would need with complimentary tea and coffee, a plunger, teapot. Large fridge. It an ideal place to stay as a couple or with a family of 4. Lovely little outdoor table set - although it was winter, we were able to sit outside due to windstill sunny days. Just perfect for a short stay.

We had beautiful stay at Beeches by the sea. We had everything we needed to cook for the 4 nights we were there. The beds were very comfortable and the whole villa heated up quickly when we put on the heater. The beach is only a stones throw from the cottage and shops a mere 5 Minute walk into town. We actually wanted to stay here longer but the next couple of nights had already been booked up. Highly recommend.

We took our pup and had a wonderful few days of relaxation. 50metres down the road to the great beach. The unit was spacious, clean, comfortable and very convenient to shops as well as the beach. The bed and couch were very comfortable and the surrounds were very peaceful and quiet, apart from the fabulous native array of native birds that came to visit. Will happily go back again.

We recently stayed at Villa 1 for two nights. So close to the beach and a short, leisurely walk to Main St. It was sparkling clean and really well appointed. Extra touches such as robes, toiletries, coffee, tea and books were a welcome touch. The villa warms up quickly and the bed was lovely and cosy. We were so grateful to bring our pug with us and he loved exploring the garden when not snoozing. Jess is a wonderful host and so lovely to deal with. We look forward to visiting again.

We are coming to this property for over 40 years.In all those years it has not lost its
Charm& Uniquenss.
We stayed in July and the outlook from Flat1 over the mountains was especialy soothing after our Lockdowns.
A coplimentary bottle of wine,Apollo Bay CHocolates &roasted coffee was a nice touch.
Spotlessly clean , bed comfortable,nice towels& bedlinen was a pleasure. Thank you to the Owners Juliane

I stayed two nights before Christmas to explore the great ocean road. The property is spacious with a comfortable queen bed in the master bedroom. It was a short walk to the beach, shops & restaurants in apollo bay. There is free wifi & all the basics were included (towels, bedding, pots, cleaning equipment, tea & coffee). A lovely base to explore the great ocean road.
