Detailed Reviews
We had an overnight stay in a Queen cabin at this caravan park and it was a good experience. The park is on the edge of the town of Apollo Bay in a quiet residential street, a few minutes walk to the beach and an easy walk to the main street with its many shops, cafes, etc.
The cabin was comfortable and clean, not super modern, but had all the conveniences we needed for an overnight stay. The wi-fi was strong and the heating very efficient so this was a cosy place to stay.
The park itself looked very tidy and well maintained and our limited interactions with the manager were friendly and helpful.
We were happy with our stay, a comfortable cabin at a very reasonable price in this pretty coastal town.

A well laid out park with good sized sites and great amenities. The park is set back a block off the highway so there is no traffic noise. The camp kitchen was well equipped, one of only a few I have seen with a pizza oven. In warmer weather the pool would have been popular . The amenities block was clean and shower cubicles were a good size.

Thank you so much for your review. We are pleased you loved the park and in particular our amenities. We have worked hard to try and have something for everyone and the Pizza Oven was born from that idea. A bit of fun! We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

Limited big van sites but very accommodating.
We arrived late afternoon with a large van & car,
We found the owner very helpful & accommodating.
On looking around the park, wow wow wow, the grounds immaculate.
The amenities again plenty of space well layed out & extremely clean.
Kids play ground very good & great camp kitchen.

In a nutshell filthy !
Sadly I was not impressed at all with Apollo Bay Holiday Park, firstly (my own fault) I booked a cabin at £45 with no bed linen (didn’t know it was no bed linen at the time as wasn’t clear with the booking agency I booked with) I was emailed by the park to advise that there was no linen and could be upgraded to a “superior” cabin with linen for an extra AUS $60.
I should have cancelled but I didn’t.
Was the cabin I received worth £75 a night - Hell no ! It was mouldy, fly ridden, door handle loose, garden furniture filthy.
The bed was comfortable though and it’s a short walk to the beach front
We were only here for one night and that was too long.
Apollo Bay Holiday Park do have some nice looking cabins and their publicity photos do show those cabins, if you chose to stay here go for those cabins not a superior or below

We are more than disappointed to hear you were totally unsatisfied with our property. I have forwarded your feedback to our housekeeping staff for their immediate action. This is totally out of character for our property as we all pride ourselves on our offering. As you have mentioned, there are different levels of accommodation. We offer these different levels to ensure we can accommodate for everyone wishing to holiday on the Great Ocean Road. Thank you for your feedback. Any feedback is good feedback.

After booking a superior cabin due to it appearing newly refurbished (on the G'day parks site), we arrived to an old, dated cabin. When I complained to management, I was told all the cabins were booked out and not all are refurbished but the layout makes it superior. This was in no way correct, I could have booked a similar cabin cheaper but paid extra as the superior 4 sleeper looked modern.
From then it got worse...there were multiple hairs on the worn out coverlet that weren't ours...the same on the blanket below, this had me in tears as I'm a hygiene freak! The queen bed mattress was so uncomfortable that I didn't sleep at all the first night. (Not great when this was our first getaway after I had major surgery.) We weren't supplied even a single hand towel for 4 of us. There was an ant problem inside the cabin even though our food was in high cupboards and sealed...may be because the bin had no lid!?
Felt very cramped as a camp site. Grounds were well maintained though playground flying fox wasn't working and parts were broken off.
Would NOT recommend stay here at all.

Sad and tired are words to come to mind to describe this holiday park. The cabin was dark and gloomy. The stove didn’t work. There were no towels in the room and we had to chase the manager to get some. We were going out for a walk and he asked us to come back and collect them! The white towels had a greyish tinge. We asked for a hand towel and washer and we were told they don’t supply them. There was also no soap in the bathroom.

+1
We stayed here for the weekend. It was immediately apparent there was a cleanliness issue and when we raised this the first morning and we were told to return and raise it again with the owner the next day. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin with spa bath. It was ant and mould infested and very run down. When we finally spoke to the owner he was in complete denial and still thought the cabin was “spotless”
He offered us an extra nights stay FOC which we declined. His customer service skills have a lot to be desired. If we could have found somewhere else on such short notice we would have left the first night. The bed and couches are very old and uncomfortable and I would recommend bringing your own towels as they are very tired and stained. Will not be returning.

Stayed for two nights on an unpowered site. Probably one of the cleanest caravan park I’ve stayed in during my travels all around Australia in the last year. Kitchen and hangout area were well maintained. Nice playground for kids and pool outside. Can definitely recommend it!

We are staying in a 2 bedroom spa cabin.
Spacious, beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean & extremely relaxing!
Close to everything yet insanely peaceful & close enough to hear & smell the ocean.
Bruce and Mandy are doing an amazing job in what are extremely trying times.
The only problem is that the 5 nights are just going way too fast!
