Food is average hotel style menu. Perfectly fine 90s style motel. Central & easy to find.

Highlights: Pillows were fluffy, strong water pressure, friendliness of room service staff.

Lowlights: Room hasn't been upgraded for some time, purchases of appliances etc had seemingly been made for budget purposes not for quality. Nice view if the car spot wasn't directly outside the window. Accidentally left some items and when I went to get them from lost property they hadn't been kept (pyjamas, not worth anything to anyone else). Could hear neighbour's conversations.

I feel that the room's comfort level (average) was not reflected in the nightly rate.

I chose this as it is one of a few hotels local to the Bell Bay indurtial complex in N. Tasmania. It is basically a pub with attached accomodation
I arrived about 4pm to find the reception unattended, with a sign suggesting I register in the bar. Having found someone, I was ushered back to reception to complete registration. The rooms are good, and the cost reasonable. The restaurant, which is open for lunch and dinner is typical country pub food at reasonable price. You would have to find an alternate venue for breakfast, luckily ther e are nearby cafe's and bakeries that would fulfill this need. You also cannot check-out in normal fashion, as the place does not open until noon-(would be good if the web-site mentioned this!). This is all manageable of course, if foretold.

We stayed in an old school motel room where we parked straight outside our room.

The room is a good size, nice and clean with a fantastic view of the water. There was great (and free) Wi-Fi and enough power points to charge our devices. There was a nice little fridge and a dining table so we could eat our take-away fish and chips.

It was everything I expected it to be in a budget hotel and would recommend a stay of a night or two.

We had the Caesar salad lunch which was a large bowl full of lettace and the usual salad, tomato, capsicum, cucumber, carrot with a dressing. It also had little squares of croutons all through the salad, with what looked like a boiled egg on the top. There was a thin sliced product all through the whole dish. I am asuming it was cheese.
Now unfortunately the egg had no flavour, the cheese had no flavour, the dressing was almost flavourless, the vegetables were the same. The only thing that had a tastie flavour were the croutons. I had a large 10 oz pot of lemon lime and bitters for $5 which I thought was good value and very tastie. But here comes the worst bit, the bill was $19 which makes the salad $14 which should have been $5 for the taste and quality supplied. Sorry I cannot recomend that meal at all.

Nice, clean room, comfortably set up. In particular, there was a separate charcoal grey face washer marked 'make up remover' - really helpful.
TV reception was VERY poor, often disappearing after only a few minutes.
Nice view from the front. Close to things.
The man who checked me in had no sense of customer service at all and I felt like I was purely a transaction.

The rooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable. I had to play around with the heater settings to get the room warm and the shower had 2 temperatures, very hot or very cold. The rooms were quiet and the views were nice. The food was very average and the service wasn't great and I'm easy to please...

Lovely hotel with great views over harbour, elegant dining room with outside covered in deck.

Attended for lunch and were the first customers. Two of us had the roast pork (no crackling) which was tough and vegetables warm to cold. One had rissoles which were nice, hot mash and cold vegetables.

One of us had the seared scollops with prawns on rice with garlic cream sauce. What was served was prawns with a few scollops.

Service prompt however food a lot to be desired

I’m not a fussy eater but this lunch was rubbish. Fish of the day and it was like the ‘meat’ from fish fingers. The fish was super oily and the salad was some lettuce covered in onion. Husbands lunch was fine but I wasn’t so lucky.

An easy booking made easy. The hotel is located on the water and there are some great views. The staff were friendly and helpful. The main hotel had a great restaurant and plenty of other things to do. We enjoyed a lovely dinner I had a local steak 🥩 and some Tassie chardy. The room was large and clean. Well priced and a great place to stay.
