We stayed for 3 nights.....and a week later returned for another night at this popular accommodation. We felt we had come home! Hosts Georgia and Peter could not be more welcoming, and nothing is a bother to them. The room is very well appointed with quality furniture....and the kitchen appliances and cookware are well and truly sufficient to make a simple meal. Woolworths is close by, and the pubs in town offer good fare.
The supplies for breakfast are fresh and generous....and Georgia's home baked bread is delicious. Loved our stay in Deloraine!

Dear YolkandWhite, Thank you for staying with us recently and being able to share in the 183 year history of the property. We are also pleased that you enjoyed your stay, and returned for another second stay during your holiday in Tasmania. Deloraine is a lovely place to visit and there is much to do in the area to be kept entertained for many days. We also appreciate your lovely comments about the complementary breakfast hamper we provide all our guests. In relation to the bread, we source all our ingredients from the Australian owned Tasmanian Flour Mill in Launceston. We are happy to support this and other local businesses. Hopefully when you are next in Tasmania, you take the opportunity to visit Deloraine and stay with us again, Georgia and Peter ---- We are proud to be a locally owned and operated Buy Something Tasmanian business. ---- We are located in the heartland of Tasmania's Northern Forage Region, where some of the World's finest products are grown and can tasted. ---- We are a business participating in Northern Tasmania's Gold Standard COVID-19 Program. This program is to ensure we carry out practicable and relevant measures to protect the health and safety of our guests. ----

We were fortunate to choose Blakes Manor on spec as our car broke down in Deloraine and we need a play to stay while repairs were made.
Tasmania is not in CIVID 19 lockdown at the moment (fingers crossed) we were able to shelter in Quamby Cottage.
New owners Peter and Georgia were very caring and accommodating to our needs. The welcome breakfast hamper of bacon, eggs, cereal, porridge, juice AND fresh baked bread, cheese & crackers, port and chocolates - all these offerings were very much appreciated. The view of Quamby Bluff from all windows were picture perfect.

Dear bluecharminn, It was great to have you stay with us and we were able to help you out when your car broke down in Deloraine. Quamby Cottage does have beautiful views to Quamby Bluff and the rolling hills on the outskirts of Deloraine. While the furnishings are more contemporary than our other suites, it is a great place to stay for the independent traveller who wishes to stay a night for longer, as the cottage has a full kitchen for use by guests. If you every want to stay with us again when in Deloraine, please contact us as we would love to see you again. Take care, Peter and Georgia Blakes Manor Self Contained Heritage Accommodation

We have just spent a couple of weeks staying in Quamby Cottage which was perfect for a longer stay as it has a full kitchen and plenty of space. The sitting area in the kitchen is the most fantastic sun trap!
Peter and Georgia are very generous, friendly hosts and while dietary requirements prevented us from enjoying their famous home baked bread, they compensated by ensuring gluten free cereal in the breakfast pack.
The cottage was spotless and we were not left wanting for anything. The gardens were putting on a spectacular springtime show.
An added bonus is the position as it is a very short walk to the shops but we also had views of Quamby Bluff and the Western Tiers.

The lovely owners of Blake's Manor were incredibly welcoming and helpful on our arrival. They provided some great suggestions on what to see and where to eat in Deloraine. The lovely heritage accommodation is unique and all the little extras including home baked bread on arrival was very well received. We hope to return again soon.

We found the location to be excellent. It is walking distance to a grocery store and restaurants. The bed was comfortable but the walls are very thin. The neighbour's snoring kept me awake most of the night. A loaf of fresh bread was delivered to our room in the evening for our morning breakfast which was so lovely, but a bread knife would have been useful.

Had a fantastic stay here. The owners are super friendly and right from doing our booking to booking in and during our stay they provided us with lots of information. Our little cottage area had everything we could possible need, beds really comfy, views fantastic, shower awesome. The breakfast food provided and then topped up with whatever we needed during our stay was great, port and chocolates were a lovely touch, 7 varieties of apple trees that we could pick apples from and to top it all off, freshly made bread when we arrived - winning !!! Would totally stay here again and wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to anyone else

Three of us spent a couple of days here recently at the end of our annual motorcycle circumnavigation of wonderful Tasmania. Tired of staying in hotels we though we would try something different and we’re glad we did. We stayed in the old section of the building, built in 1838 and modernised to provide expected comforts, but not overly done to detract from a wonderful building. Georgia and Peter were fabulous hosts and provided us with freshly baked bread, bacon, eggs, milk, juice and even port and chocolates. It’s only a short stroll into town along the river or you can journey further afield in any direction for great roads and scenery. Highly recommended and we look forward to returning. PS the photo is the beautiful old church directly opposite.

Stayed overnight at the weekend on a family trip and Blake’s Manor exceeded all expectations! Our rooms were gorgeous, comfy beds, sparking clean and contained everything you would need for a weekend or even a week’s stay. We were met with freshly baked bread (which came home with us the next day to keep eating!) complimentary port and chocolates, and Georgia had even put the heaters on for us prior to our arrival. 10/10 would definitely stay again, it was wonderful.

Dear easy_traveller123, Thank you for staying with is recently and we are pleased that you enjoyed you stay. We have recently installed heat pumps (the name for reverse airconditioning in Tasmania as the cooling cycle is rarely used) in our heritage suites to improve the comfort of our guests, and to ensure that the suites are warm and welcoming even on the coldest winter days. Thank you also for feedback that the suite was 'sparking clean'. We take pride when we clean our suites to ensure that they meet the high standard we set ourselves. Not only do we set ourselves high standards, we are also a business participating in Northern Tasmania's Gold Standard COVID-19 Program. This program is to ensure we carry out practicable and relevant measures to protect the health and safety of our guests. Many of our guests love the bread that we freshly bake and is included in the complementary breakfast hamper. We have to acknowledge the Australian owned Tasmanian Flour Mill as we exclusively use their finest ingredients in our breads. The hosts, Georgia and Peter, were extremely welcoming and helpful in planning what to see in the region and where to eat in Deloraine. The property is situated in a very quiet area but close to shops & eating venues. The fabulous river walk was only about 100m away at the end of the street and we walked the loop trail each morning. Woolworths is even closer in the opposite direction.
The property’s gardens were magnificent. We were given a generous breakfast hamper, including a delicious freshly baked loaf of home baked bread. We stayed in the Quamby Cottage which has lovely views of the surrounding countryside from both the kitchen and bedroom. It was lovely opening the curtains in the morning and letting the sun shine in. The cottage was very tastefully decorated in the heritage style. It was warm, had a good sized, well-heated bathroom and the bed was very comfortable. It had all the kitchen equipment that we needed and a full sized refrigerator. We will certainly return there when we next visit Tasmania.
