At Quimby Pines you're nearby the city life of Deloraine but with the charm of a former farm with a lot of green, birds singing and some surprising animals. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly. You'll feel like staying with family staying at Cely's and Heinz's place. The accomadation is very clean, the bed is comfy as well as breakfast provisions are provided and very yummy - local products and homemade specials. A unique place to take a rest after maybe exhausting walks at Cradle mountain. We couldn't ask for more.

We arrived at around 8 pm in the dark winter night. Our GPS guided us to turn left with no lighting of this place.Felt a bit scared though but not long we reached the place, where Heinz and Cely greeted us very warmly. It was the 3 of us so we booked at the Chaplet. Although the furnitures were not be that new, and far from being fancy, but everything was provided thoughfully. Plenty of blanket and towels. Electric blanket. The place and supplies are all clean. Bread, cookies, cereal were provided with all complete cultery , oven, microwaves. Toilet is not big however is warm enough and clean. In the morning, Cely took us to the surrounding of their farm, and fed the Alpacas for us to see, and also the cows. She also very nicely gave us bunch of both red apples - honestly, the sweetest apples ever! and green apples. We took like an hour walking trip in their farm. The farm is not that fancy, however, it is a very big and natural farm. Cely spent her time generously to show us during the winter morning. Both Cely and Heinz are very friendly, polite, and showed us a big hospitality which made our stay unforgetable. Very recommended. Thank you so much Cely, you had made our winter stay so warmth!

With 2 couples we booked both of their accommodation areas. One area has a seperate bedroom, a queen size bed in the lounge area, a kitchen and a bathroom. The one we had was one room with a small bathroom. Both were well stocked with breakfast provisions and adequate for our needs. Our hosts were friendly and the farm while a bit run down was quiet and peaceful. We did several walks down to the ponds and it was great to be able to pick an apple off the tree to eat. A very relaxing time.

Very friendly hosts, treated us like old friends. Beautifully equipped comfortable chalet with plenty of choices for breakfast, and dinner can be organised at very reasonable prices. Beautiful tranquil location, yet just 10 minutes from Deloraine. Highlight for me was 3 platypus in the dams.

This is a beautiful peaceful place.. the owners are the very essence of hospitality! The room is basic but very comfortable and absolutely spotlessly cleanand pristine!! There are lovely paddocks to wander and visit with cows, sheep and an Alpaca before spending time at the dam watching the platypus play.. we saw so much bird life as wel! A must for nature lovers, families and people needing "soul time"

We stayed here for 2 nights. A lovely place, just out of Deloraine. Friendly and attentive hosts. A great place with lots of farm animals surrounding the property. Lots of birdlife and fresh air. Comfy clean beds and a cosy warm environment.

We stayed for two nights and loved it. Our kids enjoyed feeding Pete the deer and seeing the other animals - rabbit, cows and baby calf. The wild deer came right up to the fence too. Owners were lovely and very helpful.

We recently had a stay at Quamby Pines for 2 nights and found the area to be nice and peaceful. We stayed in the unit and just felt it was a little on the small side to be classed as a unit. I would class it more like a motel style with a 2 seater table and chairs. The accommodation is one room with the ensuite which is very pokie. The place was clean and had all one would need - although no cooking area only microwave. Overall it was a roof over our head and the bed was comfortable. Like others have mentioned - the owners are down to earth very nice people. Also is a reasonable price.

We made a really last minute booking and so glad we did! Lovely couple greeted us and were so friendly! Even when we interrupted their evening meal. Made sure the heater was on ready for us in our room. After spending so much time sleeping in our camper it was such a pleasure sleeping in a bed with lovely soft great quality sheets ( that smelt divine! I don't know what they are washed with but it was lovely) that aren't those horrid bleached "crunchy" ones. Such lovely people, thanks again!

Set in the picturesque hinterland around beautiful Deloraine. Only about 50 km's from Devonport and Launceston. The owners are warm and friendly and the food is fresh and tasty. The rooms are exceptional with everything you could want. They can cater for a family or just a couple. Farm has many things to see and do. Fish for trout or just walk and talk to the animals, they may even talk back ( or grunt).
