Not our first choice but pleasantly surprised with the comfy clean room. Friendly young man on the phone welcomed us warmly when we arrived minutes later. Very small shower toilet but lovely fenced grassy area out the back for your morning coffee before hitting the road.

This place seriously needs to be knocked down and rebuilt. Think chipped and worn laminex fittings, stained and badly patched carpet, grubby paintwork, amateur (and possibly unsafe) plumbing connections, a mouldy, stained and worn shower and bathroom floor .... seriously, where to start. I have never before stayed in a hotel or motel where I actually had to remove matted...

The staff were welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable although a little updating in the bathroom would be good. The food at the hotel which was steps away from our room was lovely. Real value for money all round. An ideal spot for a one or two night stay

Whilst we didn't expect too much for the price we paid, room appeared very tired, not what it looks like on the internet that's for sure !!!, bedding nice but furniture old & worn with grubby carpet and shower/toilet are very cramped. needs an overhaul that's for sure as rest of hotel/pub appears in decent condition.

It's been interesting reading the reviews of other travellers to this place... almost to a tee they mention the fantastic staff, ok-good food, and out of date rooms. The staff are far and away the best asset of this hotel.. everyone I dealt with was genuinely friendly and helpful. I had an excellent chat with the evening manager, an intelligent...

While the room was ok, the shower was definitely in need of an update with a severely calcified shower head dating back to the 70s with what looked like green mould and sheets were questionably clean. If you are planning to go to Naracoorte caves, stay in Penola at the Alexandra Cameron Suites - only $50 more per night and...

Staff and food here were great. I would highly recommend to eat here and I hope to again soon. Beds were comfortable and room was clean EXCEPT the bathroom it was disgusting and was more like a camp shower. Bathrooms need updating they are very poor. However service from staff was amazing.

We spent Boxing Day evening having a few drinks and dinner at the Naracoorte Hotel & walked across from Naracoorte Big4 Holiday Park. It appears there is not much open over the Xmas to New Year period in many of the small towns, so we were glad to find this place open and serving food. They had dropped to pizza...

After driving from Adelaide we decided to have lunch before we booked in to the caravan park. The presentation of the pub looks great, the staff were friendly and helpful, the Lunchtime Menu was excellent value ($!2.90), and so was the beer, but that's where the positives end.My wife ordered the Teriyaki Beef Stir-fry,and I had the Chicken Breast Burger. When the meals arrived at...

We upgraded to the standard room, because the economy rooms did smell awful and the bathroom looked unclean. The standard room had a good bed, but bathroom was not that great. But recommended if on a budget.
