Our family spent 5 nights in Kingston and expected to eat in a different place each night. Instead we ate and drank 4 of the five nights at the Crown. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. The serves were huge!
Slightly tucked away from the (obvious) foreshore ( royal mail ) hotel ( grumpy ). The Crown Inn was a bustle of locals and tourists ( like ourselves) enjoying a delicious pub fair. Staff are happy and helpful and the food is great. Highly recommend.
A fairly "average" exterior, but inside, especially the dining area, a whole other story. Great food, reasonably priced and friendly staff. What more can you ask for? We'll definitely return! We were staying at the RV park, so it was only about a five minute walk through parkland on a well maintained walk/cycleway. Kingston S E is a must visit in this part of South Australia.
3rd order at a table of 15 orders, the only Gluten Free order and got it second 2 last. 1 Hour wait and that was 10 minutes after enquiring to be told it was being served up as we speak. As a gluten free meal of Chicken breast and Mash potato I wouldn't have thought it was too hard....Given that the order was GF - it was assumed that the vegetables in a Bay Marie was suitable?! The meal quality - well the creamy garlic sauce was nice.
We stopped for a couple of beers and snacks before and after the Triple J concert and it was a great country pub. Meals looked great although we only shared an entree. The musician they had playing that evening was absolutely first rate. Very friendly and helpful staff.
