If you arrive early they'll look after your luggage allowing you to continue on with sightseeing or work, in my instance it was work so quite convenient. There executive rooms are big and spacious, but lack additional utilities you'd expect like note pads, a room service menu, or other welcoming literature. So I believe I have rated the room fairly as average. Some of the furniture was dated, and there were no privacy blinds once the curtains were opened.

This review is based on a two nights stay and an evening meal in the hotel restaurant. We arrived as walk-ins and received friendly and correct service from the reception staff. At first we wanted to stay for just one night but when we saw the room (executive sea view in the extension connected to the original hotel), we asked for a second night. The room was pleasant, spacious, very clean, with a large terrace and a modern bathroom. The meal we had was excellent, in fact the Angus burger with beetroot was amongst the best I’ve ever had. The service we received was excellent. The team consists of young, enthusiastic and friendly local and foreign people. I am very glad that we didn’t pay too much attention to the negative reviews (quite often made by people with just one or two reviews on their account).

We found the staff to be friendly and accommodating, our room was in the newer block and had a sea view, it was clean, tidy and comfortable with a lounge area. Having read the reviews we booked ahead for dinner on the first night which was very good. Breakfast was a bit of a let down, ok if you want a fry up, but very limited choices elsewhere. This hotel caters for coach parties so can get busy very quickly. Enjoyed the happy hour in the bar. If you are staying here you need to book the restaurant in advance, during the early part of the week there are very few places open in town to eat.

Hello, Thank you for sharing your positive experience with our friendly staff and comfortable seaview room. We're pleased you enjoyed the dinner and the happy hour in the bar. We appreciate your feedback on breakfast and will explore ways to enhance the variety of choices. We absolutely recommend booking the restaurant in advance, especially during the early part of the week and over peak periods when dining options in town may be limited. The property has most things you require including central location. Property is very clean. A lot of care, energy and money has been expended to ensure bathrooms, for example, are exemplary. The commitment is obvious and appreciated.

Our kids were away so we fled to the Ozone for some peace and quiet which we achieved. Had a great Christmas lunch with all the trimmings and ambience. The staff were friendly and attentive without being over the top.

After a day of touring the island we came back to our room & the balcony sliding door and screen door had been left wide open. It seemed as if nothing was missing from the room until we left the next morning. Medication that I stored in the room refrigerator had been stolen!

We stopped in for lunch as this venue is the only one overlooking the coast that we could find in Kingscote! Hubby really enjoyed his juicy and tasty chicken schnitzel with salad and chips (garlic sauce on the side - we didn’t see any sauces listed on their menu but just ask, they do have them). I had gf calamari which was coated in rice & chickpea flour, really tender and served with a little side of dressed greens, lemon and aioli. We shared a gluten-free cheesy garlic bread which was generous and perfectly cooked. Good local drink options and a table looking out over the beach we were happy we chose here. Would recommend.

We had a pleasant stay here, with a lovely view from the balcony across the bay toward the mainland. Rooms were comfortable, with good beds. No lift in the hotel, so pack light if you cab. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were both good. Nice fish options and plenty of local wines on offer.

Hi Bob, Thank you for sharing your positive experience! We're delighted you enjoyed your stay, the stunning bay view, and our comfortable rooms. Our property consists of rooms split over 3 buildings, it seems you booked a room in our heritage listed Chapman building, where there is no lift, our apologies for the lack of lift on that side however our friendly staff are always willing to assist with luggage if required. We are glad you found our dining options satisfactory and enjoyed our range of local wines. Kind Regards, Casey - Front Office Manager

The hotel location and staff were great, but my room was a bit worn for what I paid. I stayed in the newer building across the street from the original building as I'd read it was in better shape. I'm not so sure that's correct, however.
