Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Booked for 3 nights. Called us later to say no babies allowed because of the dam. Our daughter can't walk. Pretentious. If you are a family - forget this place. Look elsewhere to discover some decency more becoming of the region.

Loved the cottage. It had everything you want and need. Very cosy. Loved the privacy and the view was exquisite. It was a great getaway and very comfortable. Love Love Loved it. Would like to come back in Autumn when the leaves on the vines are orange. saw a few kangaroos hop by which was great as well.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at the end of April. We had the accomodation to ourselves which was probably better, privacy wise, as the cottages are attached with a closed off room between them. The accomodation is small but adequate, clean and comfortable and very peaceful. Facilities are also adequate, and breakfast provisions sufficient and delicious. There is no ArtWine cellar door at this location. 25 minute walk to Sevenhill Hotel, but wouldn't recommend at night. We wanted to relax in peace and that's what we got. Great views, sunsets and amazing show of stars at night. Had a lovely stay.

The setting is lovely, very quiet. Provisions are good. Decor is a bit tired with water stains on carpet. It is advertised as 2 beds, 4 people, 2 baths but that is for two cabins not one. So a recent girls weekend was spoilt when the mistake was realised on arrival. What it should say is one bed, one bath, two people. Owner was unapologetic and virtually blamed client.

What Artwine Cottages is not, is cottage/s, plural. It is one pre-fab log cabin with a small 1 metre wide utility room that divides the two "units". I discussed this matter with a few people in the accommodation business and I assure you, it is not two "cottages". I thought it was strange that the owner asked us, "not to park in front" because the view should not be interfered with. And we now know that is for the sake of the neighbours. You will hear your neighbours and you will smell them frying bacon for breakfast. Their headlights will also wake you when then come home at night. Apart from that, the "cottages" have a few maintenance issues but are pleasant enough stay. It would be ideal to share the whole building with friends (people you know). It is nice and close to the famous Seven Hill Pub.

My girlfriend and I booked into Artwine Cottages for the Clare Gourmet weekend. We couldn't have found a better spot to base ourselves for a relaxing getaway. The cottage is tucked away in a vineyard, perched on top of the hill so you can enjoy the spectacular views. They're fully stocked for an indulgent weekend with breakfast provisions, snacks and delicious wine. There's a wood fire for the chilly winter nights with a good supply of timber or an air conditioner for the warmer months. Located just outside Sevenhill, it was only a 4 minute drive to the newly refurbished hotel for a great meal. It's also conveniently located off the same road that takes you to Skillogalee wines, Kilikanoon and Mitchell's. Probably 3 of the best cellar doors in the Valley within walking distance! For a secluded, comfortable weekend getaway, I highly recommend Artwine Cottages.

Stayed here for two nights with my wife. Plenty of breakfast provisions supplied, bacon, eggs, bread and cereals. The unit is on top of a hill amongst the vines with views over the valley. Nice and comfortable accommodation, good hot shower. Very pleasant atmosphere.

We really enjoyed our stay at Artwine Cottages with the beautiful sunset views and clear starry nights. It is located on a hill among the vineyards. You'll really enjoy the peace and quiet here. The cottages are simply furnished, but it's comfortable and very serene. We stayed in the first cottage and there isn't much privacy from the lounge room as cars come up the driveway. The cottages are also close to wineries and restaurants. Overall, a perfect base to explore the Clare Valley.

Nice cottages in the middle of a vineyard in the Clare just outside Sevenhill (only about 3 mins drive to the Sevenhill pub). Well, if simply, equipped and generally very good. Lovely location for a glass of local wine on the porch at sunset. Plenty of kangaroos around which is nice. Only downside is there is not much privacy outside from adjoining cottage (shared porch) - not a big deal and good if you are there with friends/family. Overall a good place to stay.

We stayed in one half of the house- Victoria- which is larger than the other half- Edward. For the first 2 nights there was an extended family staying next door, which did detract a little from the peace and tranquility as the two halves share the back and front porches.- however for the last 2 nights the other half of the house was empty. We do a lot of traveling and the kitchen in Victoria would have to best equipped, most pleasant, kitchen we have found in a holiday house. Almost everything is new as well. The furniture in all the rooms is first class and in excellent condition- there is none of "slightly worn out" furniture often found in holiday houses and too many hotels.. There is a very spacious living room and seperate dining room. The sheets are excellent quality. The house is set well back from a quiet back road, so it is completely quiet. We intend to return next year. It is not cheap, but it is worth the cost.
