Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A fabulous weekend getaway in the new cottage aptly called “A Break in the Vines”. A gorgeous fully equipped cottage 2 bedroom 2 ensuite (plus separate spa room), lounge, dining room and kitchen with everything thought of including full brekky provisions (with the biggest selection of Beerenberg jams I’ve ever seen!) Close to wineries and the perfect place to kick back on the deck overlooking the vines and enjoy a bottle (or bottles) of local wine and relax.

we arrived on the friday afternoon just in time for wine tasting and seating around a fire pit, what a way to start of his birthday. We stayed in the Coach House and once again it would be hard to fault the accommodation, service, the hosts, and what you receive for your money, free bacon and eggs, cereals milk real butter, breakfast juice free bottle of their red, free port, coffee machine, the table was set ready to dine. Wood fire with the wood supplied and ready to light, large spar in the room, chimaneer on the front porch wood supplied surrounded but scrub and birds. ONE BIG BONUS WAS DOGS ALLOWED AND CAN STAY IN THE CABINS.

Accomodation: fantastic Hosts/service: couldn’t ask for more Beds: very comfortable Cleanliness: very clean Breakfast: fresh & plentiful Value: well priced Location: convenient & beautiful We recently had the great pleasure of staying at the beautiful St Helens Country Cottages in the Clare Valentines lley! We left Adelade on the 24th January, (the hottest day on record in Adelaide) before arriving our wonderful hosts sent us a message letting us know our cottage was ready and they had the air conditioner on! When we arrived our cottage was beautifully cool with the our hosts offering all the local information we needed, the location was perfect right on the Reisling Trail, 1km from a local bike hire and walking distance (40min) from Clare’s main st. The following day it

We booked in for two nights and got a third night for free. The owners, Carol and Russell, were wonderful. We stayed in The Pavilion which was comfortable, clean and inviting. Kitchen and bathroom are good sized, modern and well appointed. Situated right on the Riesling Trail and within walking distance to Clare it couldn’t be better.

The Clare Valley is a real treasure, wine food, walking and history. These cottages are well placed to take advantage of the many things to do in Clare including being right on the Riesling Trail. The cottages have cosy wood fires, good kitchens and a nice lounge area. The bathrooms a re also good. Catering is fine and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Another great stay with Russell and Carol. Last time we were here it was warm however this time it was just perfect for lighting the combustion heaters and sitting back enjoying some of the Clare Valley wines or a port. Cottages were very comfortable and perfectly located for all valley activities. Being right on the Riesling Trail it’s a very tranquil setting. Thanks once again Carol and Russell.

Stayed in the Guest Suite for the weekend of the Clare Valley Gourmet Weekend. It was superb. Carol and Russ provide great accommodation, fine wine, magnificent breakfasts, all in an elegant and beautiful setting. Cannot praise them highly enough.

We stayed 9 days in the suite in the main house. There were a number of cottages as well on a pleasant property with a vineyard. Carol and Russell were superb hosts in a delightful setting. We enjoyed the breakfasts and the happy hour with other guests on Friday nights by the camp fire. The property is immediately alongside the Reisling Trail and well located for visiting Clare and the rest of the Valley. There are more wineries than can be visited in as week, a number of which have good lunchtime restaurants. Seed Winehouse and Kitchen is a first class restaurant in Clare. Reilly's in Mintaro and Pauletts in Polish Hill were good lunch spots. Skillogalee probably is good but was overwhelmed the day we went. A special mention for the Blyth Hotel. The food was excellent there.

We stayed in the Coachhouse, whilst attending a National Heritage Tourism Summit, very apt accommodation. Everything was well provided, with no small detail missed. This is very much appreciated, thank you.
