My husband and I visited Bukirk on Sunday for our wedding anniversary. We had spent the afternoon cycling the Riesling trail on e-bikes and visiting the surrounding wineries Alison was on site to greet us when we arrived and showed us around the lovely property- she was also more than happy to give recommendations for things for us to do & places for us to eat while in Clare We stayed in the Silkie tent which had a very comfy King Bed. We took a dip in the pool- it is heated to a really nice temperature and it’s so handy having a fridge in the pool area (and chilled cups!) to enjoy a drink and a swim We then went to say hello to all of the animals- sheep, cute goats, chickens (one who loved to follow us around) and of course Kevin Bacon the pig who we were able to feed some bread. We then played some lawn games & darts which was good fun. We decided we didn’t want to venture back out for dinner now we were relaxed so purchased some pizzas Alison has available for purchase from the Uppside and cooked them in the on-site pizza oven We then retired to our balcony to watch the sunset with a drink in hand Once the sun went down we chilled in our cozy tent with board games and choccy We really enjoyed our stay and it was unique and fun!

Beautiful, peaceful setting for a relaxing break. We had all the comfort of home in a rustic setting. The fire pit (and complimentary marshmallows) were a lovely touch. It was a bit too cool for swimming, but the pool would be great in the warmer months.

I work in the hospitality industry, in and around 5 star hotels. We have all stayed in these same dog boxes and paid exorbitant prices and most of the time the service and the cleanliness let’s the whole experience down. Coming to Bukirk we are greeted with an honest, passionate , bubbly, knowledgeable, owner. A person who works hands on in the business with zeal and joy. Is anything too much for Alison ? It didn’t seem so. Was every guest treated equally and given attention ?, absolutely. There is a huge difference in care when some one actually enjoys what they are doing in delivering a unique experience. The tent accommodation from my perspective was immaculately presented it was spotlessly made up wih crisp fresh quality bed linen, cosy electric blanket for the chilly nights. The attached ensuite was clean as a whistle and offered a choice of using a heater or a fan. Towels provided where made from of a high quality cotton. Some 5 star hotels do not even offer a mini bar - Bukirk offered its version of one with its selection of chocolate bars and soft drinks. The camp ground is a modest size and lots of privacy, however there are many opportunity's if desired to mingle with other campers and form conversation or even friendships. There is your own personal car parking space right next to your tent so you can easily load or unload things. This place is getting my 100 percent vote for its offerings. Alison did an amazing job of executing a wonderful guest experience with her little barn yard of family animals we could all pat and love. The swimming pool provided a great chance to cool off and relax with a cool drink. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from it all and enjoy what country life has to offer- fresh air, relaxing environment , beautiful scenery and the entire sky is exposed in the evenings with blinking glittering stars to gaze at. Sit around a fire at night and toast complimentary marshmallows off of a pitchfork. You can’t do this from your 44th floor hotel room with a view of a brick wall . Thankyou for the joyous time and we cannot wait to return to see how the garden grows and what new Bukirky things Chook comes up with next. 10/10

We had so much fun at this very special location. The styling of the property is excellent. You receive such a warm greeting on arrival and everything is explained to you. Despite almost zero temperatures, we were toasty warm in bed. And gathering around the firepit at night with the amazing stars above was fantastic. I am the last person you would ever expect to go glamping, yet I loved it!!!

Bukirk Glamping is an amazing adult only experience. Great for couples and/or friends to get away and stay in a truely beautiful and unique experience. This was our 3rd stay and won’t be our last as we have booked in again for June. We have stayed in both the tents and the coops - the coops are our favourite and we are super excited to stay in the newly built Cluckingham Palace. The owner Alison aka Chook is an amazing host and so knowledgeable of the region. Getting a chance for us city girls to meet Chook’s much loved animal family members is a huge draw card. Should not be missed!

We really enjoyed staying in one of chalets. It was very comfortable even though it was very wet and cold outside. The service provided by Alison was exceptional. She was very welcoming and was very happy to answer any questions we had. We will definitely be back.

Was a fun experience! Easy to book, lovely owner who showed us around the property, and given you stay in a tent, and share an open air communal “eating/meeting area”, very clean with everything you need on hand. Good cooking facilities, and would be fun in the winter with the fire pit

Bukirk Glamping has to be the best place in Australia. Alison (aka Chook to me) is the friendliest person around. She makes you feel at home and well looked after. The accommodation was beautiful, the pool was fantastic, the drinks were just right and the cuddles with the animals was just what I needed. My hubby had a great birthday and our room was beautiful thanks to Chook. Check out this great relaxing place Chook and the animals will make you feel very welcome.

What an amazing experience we had at Bukirk! The tent’s are perfectly set up, the bed’s are so comfy we had the best night sleep here compared to any of the hotel’s we stayed at on our SA tour. We had the perfect view of the thunderstorm over the hills and the tents remained completely dry despite the torrential rain! But the place is really made by Alison - she was there to greet us even when we arrived later than stated, she gave us all of her fab recommendations for what to do on our stay, provided us with marshmallows for the fire, and was such an interesting person to have around for the weekend and show us her farm animals! I’ll be recommending this place to all of my friends - such a quirky place to be based with all of the lovely wineries only a short drive away!
