This hotel exceeded all our expectations. The room was spacious, light and bright, clean, tidy, central to everything in town. Our car was parked at the door in a security car park. The rate included an excellent continental breakfast and the seafood platter dinner in the nearby hotel bistro was delicious as we looked out the window to the setting sun over the jetty. The staff were pleasant and efficient. A wonderful experience for a few days enjoying the west.

I really can't fault this place. Our Executive room was clean, well appointed and had a lovely view of the foreshore / jetty area from a small furnished balcony. Very comfortable bed, elegant bathroom. Dinner at the pub below was great, as was the included continental breakfast. Wifi was free and efficient. The room was upstairs but with a lift and we were able to borrow a trolley for our luggage. Secure parking in a locked area was also good as we had a stocked car ready for our trip back across the Nullabor. Only a couple of very minor detractors which could be picked up if housekeeping double checked a bit more thoroughly, eg bedside table lamps broken, freezer badly needed defrosting - a problem as we needed to freeze things for our trip. I can highly recommended this place.

Their web page says that their Executive King rooms are "Modern, stylish, spacious OCEAN FRONT rooms" (my emphasis), so I booked on that basis, keen to enjoy some rest time after some long drives, looking at the ocean. So imagine my dismay when we were put in a room on the side, with a view of the car park across the road. The view was not the worst in the world, but an ocean front is 100 times better. It made our stay much less enjoyable.

If you want a room with a view, I suggest explicitly asking for ocean front, and/or asking to not be put in room 57, 58 or 59.

Ceduna Foreshore has all the trappings of five star hotel but the service standard falls far short. It was a tortuous route to my room and some 125 steps from reception but there was no offer of assistance just a finger stabbed at a plan of the place. There was no “do not disturb” in my room and twice I was called to a tap at my door. Firstly, I was greeted by “Oh, I thought you’d gone”. The second offender was a staff member looking for her colleague; not only was there no apology but she continued her search by bellowing down the passageway. Breakfast was a bowl and utensils thrust at you and the direction of the buffet indicated by a jerk of the head. When approaching the buffet beware of passing staff dragging their vacuum cleaners behind them. Staff training in hospitality needs to be given priority.

Booked an Executive room via their website, which showed a room with a view over the water for $185. When I got to my room #59, the view was over a car park. It was also a disabled unit. I just assumed it was the only room left. But I was very disappointed. To rub salt into the wound, at around 9:30pm loud music started that went on until midnight. I worked out that rooms 57-59 have the same car park view and are located above the sports bar. Do not make the same mistake and stay in these rooms, demand any other Exec room, because they all have water front views and are on top of the bistro, which closes around 9pm - so no noise!

Standard rooms are very old fashioned - don’t choose this option even for only one night. Cleanness is another weak point. Food in the restaurant was delicious but very small portions! We tried the seafood hot pot, which was an entré sized but sold as a pricey main! :(
But let’s see the positive side, location is great, jetty and the shore is nice.

Stayed 1 night in Executive King Room. The website stated we would have an ocean front room. We could see some water from the small balcony but our room was on the side of the hotel and the main view was the intersection. This was disappointing but the room was comfortable.
Ate dinner in the hotel and it was good value. A continental breakfast was included in the $185 per night tariff. Off street parking was out the back of the hotel.

Deluxe room, strange set up re toilet and shower, not overly large shower recess but good water pressure and hot.
Not overly roomy but tidy and clean, mod cons including clock and tissues for $160 a night it seems excessive as not really modern or sleek, but it is in Ceduna and room delivers.
Have stayed here before but in top of the wozza room, Deluxe room far better value and parking at door, secure parking too.
Have stayed in the other 3 motels in Ceduna but would rather stay here.Big plus is whilst they wont give you real milk upon check in helpful lady in bistro did, and food is scrumptious!

Joined a group of family and family for dinner while visiting Ceduna. While the steak dishes were ok not much for the fish menu. The snapper allegedly to be fresh turned out to be very dry. The only positive was the veggie bar which offered good range of cooked vegetables that would cater well for preferred vegetarians. Overall average rating.
