Excellent service! Reception staff were friendly and we found their suggestions of dinner in the Gunyah Restaurant or room service helpful. Our suite was spacious, clean, and well appointed. We loved the large TVs. The breakfast buffet was very tasty. We do recommend this motel to anyone traveling to Warwick Queensland. Regards, Susan Mathews

This was the last leg of a four week travel experience around Central, Western and Southern Queensland so we were a little "pooped" when we arrived. However the room we had (they're all at ground level) was impressively large, even for our luggage and other impedimenta, and - wonder of wonders- there was even a mini bar, the first we'd encountered on this trip. Every amenity and facility you might want was there. Best of all the managers couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming, with an invaluable tip on accessing the waterfall scenic round-trip drive. To our great chagrin and regret the Gunyah Restaurant was unfortunately closed due to Covid-19 restrictions but the Motel was only five minutes drive from the centre of town that that was no great imposition. Traffic by day thunders past on the highway but at night it was surprisingly quiet for its location. The Warwick Hospital is immediately next door so that may have had something to do with it. The room was huge with two queen beds and extremely comfortable. Recommended!

We spent 3 nights at this motel. While the grounds and buildings look nice from the outside, the units we had on the back side were filthy. I had to ask at the front desk for someone to come and vacuum the carpets (large gobs of hair were forming in many places). The sofa was filthy as well, stains on furniture and carpet. Drinking glasses were not washed. The cleaning staff would grab our glasses of water and simply return them to the cupboard without washing. When we arrived, the glasses had lipstick marks! yuk. I complained to management but my understanding is that this hotel is looked after on a rotation basis by different managers, it is obvious that there are oversights in the cleaning. Other than that, the large bedroom suites were very spacious. While there is a toaster in the suite and dining table and that breakfast can be easily be taken in the suite, there are no plates!? We ordered breakfast on our first day and had to keep the plates in our room.
The balcony and outdoor access were also dirty and covered with dead leaves and spider webs. Rooms facing the street are noisy as many large trucks drive by.
This place has no internet service or wi-fi access. Would not go back.

We were on a road trip to Queensland and after phoning around found what seemed to be the last room in town. We were happy to pay $140 per night for a room that was normally priced at $165. The restaurant food was 10/10, absolutely beautiful. The room on first glance was also beautiful, but when we put head to pillow it became evident that the walls were EXTREMELY thin as we could hear everything that was said and done in the bathroom which backed onto our bedroom. Also, every drop of the toilet lid and slam of the door was heard - all night. When we mentioned this to the gentlemen who delivered our breakfast (the same person who served us the night before when we arrived) he said that he'd only been there ten days and didn't know anything about it. He didn't seem particularly perturbed about our experience which was disappointing that our sleepless night wasn't even acknowledged.

Response from Narelle M, Owner at McNevin's Warwick Motel
Responded 4 June 2012
Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay at McNevins Motel in Warwick. We are dreadfully sorry that you did not have a good night’s sleep or that you felt that your lack of sleep was not acknowledged and would like to take the time to acknowledge that now. Acoustically, this is the first complaint we have ever received about being able to hear noise from another room. We shall look into why this might be happening. Again, thank you for taking the time to bring it to our attention as we take all complaints very seriously. Thank you for the compliments on our beautifully appointed rooms. We have taken great care to refurbish these rooms with new carpet, brand new beds, double-glazed windows and new reverse cycle air-conditioners. We are also delighted that you enjoyed your meal in the Gunyah Restaurant and we have passed on your compliments to our Chef. Again, we really appreciate your feedback and your balanced overall review.

We stayed there on friday 8th July in a 4 star spa sweet. Wall paper was ripped. Only a spa bath so only 1 person fits it. Could here every time the people above had a shower or flushed the toilet from the bed room. Bedroom was on the side of the train lines woken 2 time during the night from them. Noise of the trucks compression brakes going up the hill were load as even though we were on the other side of the complex. Was going to be a romantic night away but was one of the worst place we have stayed at.

We stayed overnight in a family room. Really impressed at how much room you get for the price - the room was big, with the main bedroom separate from the living room. Two single beds were stored upright in the wall panelling of the living room, then folded down at bedtime and folded back up in the morning - meaning the living room couches can be used during the day to watch the large, flat screen TV, or just to relax. Kiddos reported the fold-down beds were very comfortable. The decor is a bit dated but spotlessly clean. There is a TV in the bedroom and in the living room. There were plenty of blankets and pillows were comfortable. The small dining table (seating four) was a bonus, as was the small kitchenette, which made it easy to wash up and refill the kids water bottles and snack boxes. Fresh Norco milk provided for tea and coffee was a welcome touch. The location is quiet with abundant parking. A great country motel, welcoming to families, that we would definitely stay at again.

Celebrating with another couple a birthday. The restaurant is a little dated, but still nice. Both times we have been for dinner it has not been busy, which is a shame as the service is good, with very friendly staff and good food.

Two of us stayed for 2 nights to go to a function and then explore the region. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The bed, pillow and linen were superb! The aircon and fridge were very quite and we weren't disturbed by any highway traffic. Nice double curtains to darken the room at night. The free Wifi worked great on all our devices.

The food at the onsite restaurant was perfect - great chef. The chocolate ice cream dessert should come with a warning lol! Great for chocoholics! My favourite was the homemade prawn spring rolls and vegetarian pizza.

The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Overall is was the perfect weekend away and we will be back! Thank you McNevin's :-)

This is a nice hotel with friendly staff. Room was fine and clean. For what it is though it is a little expensive. The next night we stayed in 5 star serviced appartments in a much bigger town and it was only $15 more.

And a $10 cot fee????? Never had a cot fee before.
