We selected this resort for a-5-day holiday based on good Trip Advisor reviews and an attractive accommodation charge. We arrived after Reception closed for the day but instructions enabled easy entry to a 1-bedroom apartment at ground level in Block 2. First impressions were pleasing with a great layout and spotlessly clean areas throughput. We loved the number of GPO's available in all areas. The rooms had very large wooden ceiling fans together with efficient air conditioners. Storage facilities were excellent. The refrigerator was much larger than average and contained a full container of nice cold water, We had complete access to the pool from our unit with a Gym across from our front door.. The shower recess was large and open making usage very easy. We did not use a lot of units such as the oven and hot plates, dish washer, laundry washing machine and drier but all were in excellent condition. We could walk to the beach and ate some meals in that area. the location enabled us to spend time at all the other northern beach area. Reception had a tourist booking area with a large range of brochures describing tourist attractions. We would definitely stay here again.

First stay at blue lagoon resort and for that fact Trinity Beach. We liked that it was much quieter than Palm Cove yet still big enough for eateries. The resort was very nice with two pools one that is heated which is a real bonus as we went up north last year in May and the pools were freezing. We stayed in a studio room facing the lagoon which was very clean and comfortable the only concern for us was the air conditioning was out of action on day six of our stay so we only had the ceiling fan to keep cool at night. The management we very good about it but I think if we were staying more than a few more days I would have asked to be moved as sleeping was very uncomfortable for those last nights. Overall grounds are very nice short walk to restaurants and great location have booked again for later this year.

My partner and I stayed here for three nights. The apartments are well equipped with cutlery, a hob, microwave, kettle, pots and pans.
The resort has two pools. Both of which are very inviting and clean. There is also a gym with a good selection of cardio machines.
The room had air con and a fan which maintained a comfortable temperature in the heat.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
The property is approximately 25 mins drive outside of Cairns which suited us as we had a car. It’s also a 15 minute drive from palm cove which is stunning.
Overall we had a great stay.
Our favourite aspect was the coffee shop on site which opens at 6am.

This place is more in the nature of an Airbnb property. It’s advertised as “self-catering”, which is property-speak for, “You do the cleaning, you wash the dishes, you put the rubbish out - oh, and we won’t change the sheets unless you’re staying for 7 nights or more.” It’s in a great location, close to the beach, the tavern, a bus stop and a convenience store (there’s a larger, horribly expensive Night Owl a 15-minute walk back up Trinity Beach Road). Blocks 1 and 2 overlook one of the two lovely pools - and each other, so there’s absolutely no privacy on the balconies. Weirdly, the pool shaded by blocks 1 and 2 is unheated while the one in the full sun is heated. Go figure! The apartment we were allocated was adequate and nicely presented, but we could hear EVERYTHING said and done in the adjoining apartment. Be aware that the WiFi is sporadic. The woman at reception was extremely friendly and helpful at check-in (although she doesn’t like to be interrupted during her spiel), but the minute we had a problem her demeanour changed. Pool towels are $2.50 a pop for the duration of your stay. When I queried that, because I’d never come across it before, she declared, “I won’t argue the toss over $5.” Well, why impose such a silly charge in the first place? Trinity Beach is lovely, but we won’t be staying here again.

My partner and I checked in for 3 nights in June 2022- what a huge mistake! We unfortunately arrived late at Blue Lagoon Resort. I say unfortunate because we had no other option other than to stay 1 out of the 3 nights we were booked in for. The shower did not work (see video), the room was FILTHY (especially the bed with it’s disgusting stains, we were unsure that the sheets were even changed between guests), amenities were faulty and dated but worst of all was the manager. After staying for one night we couldn’t have been out of there quick enough. After raising our concerns with the manager (who picked up 2 calls during our conversation- such poor customer service) she advised us that she would not be providing us a refund as the photos online reflect that of the room. This could not be further from the truth. She ‘kindly’ offered to have the shower issue looked at- honestly appalling that she did not have this fixed prior to our arrival as it just added to the horrific ambience of the place. You literally cannot use the hot water. You can either have a scolding hot shower or ice cold, there is no in between.
On top of that the manager was EXTREMELY rude and dismissive. We regret not reading more thoroughly through the reviews online.
I have nothing to gain out of writing this review my only hope is that other people don’t suffer the same experience we did.

Took my 80yr old mother to Cairns for wedding. We were looking forward to "fancy resort" we arrived. Keys were literally thrown at us along with a site map as receptionist was tending to sales and phone calls. 4 flights of stairs to climb no staff to help us with luggage. Room was totally unacceptable for my mother to stay. So politely went back to reception and asked for ground floor accommodation. She said I never asked if there were lifts to room and sorry all I can offer u is going to be double the price and u need to pay for it in full before I can give u the keys. I am about to close so can u make up your mind. I said I have no choice as my mother cannot climb 4 flights of stairs. Which I myself found hard to climb being so close together tripping would be inevitable. She had zero regard for the situation and said well u never requested lift access and I recommend when booking holidays u need to be more precise with your accomodation requirements. Hurried us out the door to drag our own luggsge down 4 flights of unsafe stairs. Locking and closing the office behind her. The next time we heard from her she said the shuttle is full to airport and u will have to call an uber when leaving yourself. No assistance was given no suggestions. Get the app was it. Then when leaving on our own accord she calls demanding payment for airport transfers. After I told her to go jump she said we'll I will have to take a look at things. No apology. I can go on and on about the unfriendly non service we received but think u get the gist. I would not stay at the blue lagoon again

Our family of 2 adults and 2 child stayed at Blue Lagoon in September 2022, 7 nights in a 2 bed apartment. We couldn't fault it. Apartment was brilliant, aircon and fans great, insect nets on every window just in case, great view of lagoon pool and lagoon, comfortable and spacious. We received a service halfway through which was unexpected but very welcome, the housekeepers even setup the kids toys on the bed which the kids loved. Very well equipped kitchen and laundry. Pools were great, especially the heated lagoon pool. Couple of swims a day minimum. Always super clean and kids toys were great to have available. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Oh and staff were always so friendly and helpful. Only negative was the noisy birds in the morning, but you're in the tropical North so be expected, and it was kinda good waking early to start the day.

Just perfect .. Stayed at Amanda’s place - air b n b - was easy to book and check in worked well after hours too.
The whole complex was neat and tidy and our room couldn’t have been better; a beautiful balcony view overlooking the swimming pool and waterside lake.
The room itself was clean and had all required cooking and other amenities including wash and dry clothes facilities. (although we didn’t use those).
The king size bed was super comfy and we slept really well, as the place was so quiet at night.
Access to restaurants and convenience stores - walking distance and we used the Uber car service which was very reasonably priced.
Big thanks to Stacie and Mandy at reception who were extremely helpful with booking our day trip to Smithfield and Kuranda market (via sky rail and Kuranda train ride) . Highly recommend these two outings as well.
Will definitely be back.
Happy trails. 🏄♂️ 💦

Friendly staff, seamless checkin, clean rooms and an awesome location. Quick walk to the beach and a handful of restaurants, convenience store, and bus stop (about 45 to Cairns and costs $4.80 as of April 2022). The grounds are well kept and the availability of laundry onsite was a really nice touch. I booked a reef tour right with the reception and they arranged pickup and drop off all for a better deal than I could find anywhere else. Highly recommend this for your stay in the Cairns area.

Never stay at blue lagoon resort, if their is an issue with the apartment they blame you, the guest.
Paid $160 for a night the toilet is broken, tv very old, hot water takes forever to turn on, scratches and marks all over walls, carpet is ripped up on the corners with spikes hanging out of it.
We get called rude, ungrateful, should be happy, all these names when simply asking for refund. Aparently we are making it difficult here and it's our fault for the already damaged room.
When talking to the manager we were offered no compensation or apology, just simply told "are you sure you want the maintainence to come out on a Sunday night?", then to be told by the maintenance guy that we are being difficult, complicated and making a fuss out of nothing and we should be happy to have a room with a toilet that makes noise while you sleep and 10 year old stained carpet that is ripped up by the corners and has sharp nails there. Then insulting my girlfriend by saying she should be out of the room so that the men can talk... to be treated like this at a resort is just unbelieveable, I never swore, raised my voice or was rude at any point but then to be blamed for their obvious neglect of this room and insults to us has ruined this part of our holiday.
Oh yes and and when you call the manager after hours for problems, they don't want to talk to you, when they finally ring she is rude and unapologetic about these problems and then hangs up on you and blocks your number.

We stayed in block no.1 can't remember the number on the ground floor in the middle room with the balcony that lets you get strait into the pool please ask the reception staff for the room Ernests had. There is no food outlet at the resort so you do not have a problem but can get some within a 5 to 15 mts walk, if you phone the Trinity Beach Tavern and they will send a free bus to pick you and take you straight to their Tavern.
Hope this helps..
Derek.
Yes they do! & the reception is very helpful at answering all such details & arranging transport. Also took day trip to Port Douglas w shuttle pickup from Blue Lagoon. It's a great place w 2 great restaurants across the parking lot!!
A one bedroom apartment has better space and a kitchen. Definitely better than a studio. Ask for the ones around the pool as the ones near the restaurants are very noisy. You will love it there , its a great place to stay. Check out the wallabies on dusk, a treat for overseas visitors and locals!
There are more places to choose from in the Trinity Beach area.
