We were a group or 5 ladies so we booked a 3 bedroom apartment. We stayed in room 13a. We had a full kitchen which had everything although no extras. ie. salt, pepper, sauce, paper towels. We have stayed in many apartments over the years and we always leave these type of things for the next person. I’m guessing that everything is cleaned out after each checkout. The electric frying pan did not work but they supplied one to us within minutes of us calling reception. The service was good and the apartment was clean and roomy. There is an ensuite off the main bedroom which had a king bed. The other 2 bedrooms had 2 single beds in each. The main bathroom had a bath with shower over the top and double sinks. The toilet was separate. The only real complaint I have and this is why I only gave a rating of 4, is there is no air conditioner in the 3rd bedroom. This was extremely hot. The balcony doors could not be left open due to the nightclub and street noise. Location is fantastic. Right across from the Surf Club which have lovely meals and 2 minute walk to the beach. Our apartment overlooked the beach from the balcony at the front and the canal at the back. We were right in the centre of town so plenty of restaurants to choose from. I would recommend Newport and would stay there again.

Sayed in a renovated top floor, panoramic apt, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, great views over the beach, plenty of room for 5 of us. Really close to the beach and restaurants. Very helpful staff at the front desk. Single car parking space under the hotel accessed by a security key, need this to park underground. Can hire boogie boards for $5 per day, good value. Pool area was fine, BBQ area outside was fine, needs paper towels so you can clean up afterwards. All in all a great place to base your holiday.

Checking in was a friendly fast process the building and lobby was inviting and clean. The staff were fun professional and gave us heaps of information about the heated pool spa and reception hours. We were given two keys to get into the garage and our secure carpark under the building then straight up the lift to our apartment on the 10floor. Walking into the apartment we were blown away by the views they were incredible. The apartment was super clean and well equipped. Free wifi help us use the large smart tv in the lounge. Also tv in main bedroom. The second bedroom was locked on our stay and we had the unit as a one bedroom. Plenty of wardrobe space in the 2 wardrobes. The apartments were close to everything. A short walk to the beach all the shops clubs pubs River and the Marina and Wharf precinct. So many good places to eat and drink within a 500meter radius it would take months to do them all. We gave it a good go though and we didn’t use our car at all. Would definitely recommend and we will be back. I booked direct online and saved.

We stayed in the motel rooms on the ground floor of Newport, as we had family staying in an apartment. I looked for previous reviews and couldn't find much apart from noise issues, so I thought it best to do a review to warn future guests looking at the motel rooms.
The motel rooms are very noisy - from noise in the hall where the staff are often talking at 6.30am, to being right on poolside apart from a fence separating. Children run up and down the pool ramp during the day. The Newport is also situated on one of the busiest corners in Mooloolaba so there is traffic noise. As we were on holiday and working remotely from our room during the day, this was not what we had in mind.
To add to this, there are renovations going on to 2 motels rooms at present. We arrived on a Thursday and listened to renovations much of Friday. I spoke with a man and a woman on reception who said that this was the last of it and the following week would just be painting. The following week was jackhammering, electrical work, and drills. If we'd have known this, we would have asked to be moved, though I wonder why you'd put any guest in an area where there is this much renovation going on. There are signs around saying there is some door frame work going on for compliance, but 2 of the motel rooms were undergoing renovations - not just doorframe work. We had no warning or apologies about these renovations.
Also if you're in a motel room you don't get a mid service stay apparently, so you get 2 rolls of toilet paper for your trip - unless you want to buy more at $2 a roll! Interestingly when we asked about this a note appeared the next day saying we were getting a service for our 9 day stay, which I should hope so given the length of stay.
I will say we had a renovated motel room which was nice, however to put guests next to an ongoing renovation is not good enough. We will not return or recommend Newport.

Reception girls, very helpful and help anyway they can. Rooms are spacious and have everything you need . We had 2 x 3 Bedroom Apartmenst and Floor 6 and Floor 15 both are great views. Close to Surf Club, Shops Coles and Takeaways walking distance. Overlooking beach. Will definately return to this wonderful place.

Staff are so friendly and helpful. It is close to everything. Rooms are are very clean and up to date it has everything you need, 2 bathrooms, washer and dryer. Beautiful beach views. It has a beautiful bbq area across the road so you can get out and spread your legs and let the children play.

Definitely not 4 star. Very convenient, clean motel room close to beach and restaurants. Very much budget accommodation with tired decor, uncomfortable bed and pillows, tired linen, too close to noisy pool. No USB connection. Staff were friendly. Since it was only a one night stay all of this was OK but for a longer stay I would choose an apartment or stay somewhere else.

The exterior areas such as the pool and BBQ are really nice the apartment was a little tired but comfy enough. The street noise was terrible and we were on the 7th floor. The aged aluminium joinery rattles in the wind and doesn't seal at all and certainly doesn't block out any of the street noise from below. Needed to sleep with ear plugs which helped a little.

Room very spacious and comfortable. Average view as we were only on the 4th floor. Within walking distance to everything needed. Check in and out was easy. Staff were good. Pool was great. These days rooms should have a coffee macine.

Newport Apartments Mooloolaba was the worst holiday experience we have ever had- the - Airconditioner self destructed - the spa did not work (tripped out the power) - the oven did not work properly - our unit was sprayed with insecticide 2 days into our stay - the clothes dryer did not work. - Management considered everything to be as per normal- regarding the spa they stated" we do not believe in them" If you are looking for a nice relaxing holiday do not go to Newport- There are cheaper nicer places to stay at Moloolaba.

I couldn't answer this question with any great accuracy. The rooms are very secure and I never felt worried about leaving valuables in there when I was out and about. The management were very friendly I would suggest a quick email or phone call direct would get a quick response.
There are more places to choose from in the Mooloolaba area.
