We have just returned from a 2 night stay to partake in the Mooloolaba triathlon. This is definitely not the place to stay when you are attending an event. My husband was limbing back to the motel at 10.02am after completing the triathlon while I was being very rudely asked to leave the premises as it was past 10am. I did ask if we could have a 15 minute late checkout and offered to play but was told a firm and very unfriendly NO . As I was packing the car this staff member kept walking past to ensure I was leaving. I was very shocked that the owners of this motel do not embrace the community events that raise thousands of dollars for the local community. It is very difficult to predict exactly how long a race will take you and I do not feel that an additional 15 minutes will not affect business. Our friends stayed at other nearby motels were all permitted to have quick shower after the triathlon. Surely there is a little bit of leeway when these events occur. Although situated in an ideal place this motel was dated and very average.

I've stayed here three times now. I find it is positioned perfectly for me. It's close to shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach. Literally across the road is a range of shops such as Macdonalds, Noodle Box, a bakery and an IGA.

The staff are incredible helpful and friendly and I was quite delighted to be recognised as a return customer. I appreciate the efforts they have gone to help me check in if I have arrived after the reception is closed.

I've stayed in single rooms (by myself), double rooms (with work colleagues) and also in one of their two bedroom apartments (also with work colleagues). I've been happy in all of them.

The two bedroom apartment works quite nicely for a group. One bedroom sleeps three in single beds. The other sleeps two in a queen (I think) sized bed. It has a well equipped self catering kitchen and good sized lounge. No dining table but a large bench that people can sit at to eat meals. I think this would be a great set up for a family looking for a quick getaway to the beach at a fraction of the cost of the beachfront units one block up the road.

The rooms are all spotlessly clean. The bathrooms in all three of my rooms appear to have been freshly renovated.

I take my own wifi internet dongle and find I get a really strong telstra signal with it.

I will happily stay here again.

Rooms were a bit dated but spotless, comfy bed with good bedding, fantastic location within easy walking distance to beach, shops and restaurants, and a 2 minute walk to the greyhound bus stop.

Aircon was ancient but very effective!

Reception were very friendly and helpful with loads of local info.

I stayed here with my family recently and the manager is seriously like a stalker. Every time you turn around he is there lurking and watching. Near the pool, in the car park on his balcony, it was uncomfortable and plain rude! He told us the kids in our group were being too loud. Honestly they were laughing for about 2 minutes. Don't place a family under the management quarters if you hate the sound of kids being kids.
Will never go back, the owners need to look at replacing the current management with someone who isn't waiting for the opportunity to jump down the throats of paying guests.

I paid $630 aussie dollars I stayed in this motel for 7 days. I was trying to hire a car, the car company rang the motel back, the manager said " Im sorry I don't know who your talking about, so they couldn't get hold of me, so I rang back after about 1 hour, and that's what the lady at the car rental said... I went down to the manager, and I told her what the car rental company said, and her reply was " well was it important. The manager with the crazy hair was very very rude and unprofessional, we went down to get information... OMG.. she had no idea how to help the tourists.
I arrived at 2pm, which is the check in time. my room wasn't ready, so I went for a walk, came back 30 minutes later, the cleaner just came out... well you can plainly see that it was a rushed job... I opened the draws to put stuff in and the draws hadn't been cleaned there was food from the previous person. I cleaned the draws and the cutlery.. (yes they where dirty as well).
The beds are so hard it was more comfortable to sleep on the floor.
I guess the reason why they don't care is because the motel will be pulled down next year for a high rise apartment building .
I would pay a little extra and go to a nicer motel.
The manager needs a dose of customer service...
I will never recommend this motel to anyone....

Wasn't expecting much for the price but WOW!, what a great find. We journeyed to Mooloolaba for a funeral on Friday & booked a room at this motel as it was close to the venue. This place is spotlessly clean & very comfortable. The beds were comfortable &, even though it's on the main road, very quiet. We had an upstairs room overlooking the pool & it was great. Friendly staff & we were allowed to check in at 11.45am (Check in is at 12.00 which is a bonus). It gave us time to have a shower after our long drive before the funeral as it was a very hot day. Only a couple minutes walk to the beach & all the restaurants. We only stayed one night but I certainly would consider coming back here for a week or so, Lovely place !!

Stayed here for the first time late notice due to a late arrival on a Business trip and found the motel to be adequate for our needs.
Basic motel set up. Good layout, clean n tidy. Basic bathroom but it all works and does the job.
Due to great location just off the waterfront venues, this is a great option to stay at, particularly if your on business trip and don’t want to break the bank and have all those other facilities that you won’t we use when your too busy...
5 mins walk to beach for swim or restaurants
Never met managers, but their communication prior on email was excellent.
I’ll stay here again.
Hope this helps.
Cheers G

We only intended to stay at this motel for one night but ended up staying for 3 nights! The motel was comfortable and clean. The location was brilliant and it was only a short walk up to the esplanade where the cafes and restaurants are. We used it as a base to explore the attractions around the area. It was also very reasonably priced.

Mooloolaba motel, where to start? Basic family room set up is 2 rooms and bathroom, large bed and 2 singles, bar fridge, closets and 2 TV's.

The good, it's cheap, and it's very close to the beach and some places to eat, it also has a pool. Staff were nice and polite, room was clean.

The bad, wifi is horrible, you have to stand outside to get a signal.
The aircon is a little unit located near the door that struggles to cool the room, forget about the other room. No breakfast.

There are parking spaces but it's first come first serve.

Mooloolaba motel feels like a place that has seen better days.

Older motel but still clean and roomy. Great location with an easy walk to the beach and also a great selection of restaurants, cafes and attractions. Great place if you are looking for an inexpensive short stay.
