Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very basic room. It was clean but very small and dated. Pillows were very hard and could feel springs in mattress. Shower door wouldn't close and hot water takes forever to come through. Quite pricey compared to other motels we stayed in.

This is a typical friendly Queensland motel with friendly, helpful staff. I stayed here overnight on business. The restaurant is world class and fully licensed and the food is fantastic. It's a great place to stop and relax, have a beer and a top meal and the overall cost was the clincher.

I don't usually take time to write reviews but this Motel and its management and staff really deserve some praise. Our family of 5 had plenty of space in the family room with real beds not "roll away beds" The rooms are well equipped, comfortable and clean. There is shaded parking and a pool and BBQ area in a garden setting. The restaurant "Tracks" is very welcoming at the end of a long days driving and is reasonably priced with a kids menu also. The absolute knock out winner for us though was when we asked if they had anything on the menu that was gluten free for my husband who has Coeliac disease, the manager said that the chef could just about alter anything my husband chose and make it GF!!! Wow! The waitress also said the chef could cook for those on Lactose and Fructose friendly diets too. To those of you not bothered with dietary problems, this simply translates into the fact that this is a Motel and restaurant that goes the extra mile for their guests. And the meal was voted by all 5 of us as delicious. Thank-you Goondiwindi Motel, we will be back.

We stayed here for one night and the room was large enough for our family of five. It was clean and tidy and very comfortable.
We were tired after a long drive from the Gold Coast with three young children but chose to have a meal at the restaurant. The meals were delicious and much appreciated after having consumed quite a bit of fast food during our holiday. Service was quick and the staff were very friendly.
Unfortunately they forgot to serve our breakfast, but we survived :-)
I would definitely stay here again !!

We spent one night here on the way to Brisbane. The rooms need updating but the price was reasonable so that's ok. Fresh milk for our tea and coffee was welcome and a nice touch. We also had free Wifi which was great.
For the price we paid of $85 per night we were happy, after all it was just a place to have a rest after a long drive. It's off the main highway so it was quiet. We will stay here again.

We stopped here at the last minute as the kids had had enough of driving. The staff we met were friendly and beds were comfortable. The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner- I only noticed when I killed a huge cockroach- which I know they are everywhere at the moment. We also left a small Xmas tree there and when we rung up an hour later they said they could not find it. I was disappointed that someone had either taken it or thrown it out. But room was ok and pool looked good.

checked in around 11pm after a very long 14 hour drive . Online quote $107.00 per night, charged $150 for checking in late. Electric blanket didn't work and the shower had mould in it will never stay there again. couldn't believe the late check in fee talk about taking advantage of exhausted travellers!!!!

Service is great. Very friendly and helpful. Rooms are older, mostly clean and fairly quiet. The bathroom although attempts to keep it clean are obvious, has a prominent layer of soap scum build up that could be removed with some heavy scrubbing. The toilet plumbing did drip but this wasn't a problem noise wise as it was well separated from the bedroom by 2 doors. Restaurant food is average. Air conditioning works, fridge keeps cold enough for drinks etc., room is comfortable as is the firm bed. Pillows are hard and thick. I slept without one. Overall a cheap, value for money place to stay overnight.
