Detailed Reviews
After a long day's drive, we were so glad we chose to stay at Goondiwindi Holiday Park - the pool was especially welcoming!!
Travelling with a dog makes choices a little difficult at times but our hosts were more than accommodating. Our dog could have a run around without annoying other guests.
The camp kitchen was well equipped and working. Enjoyed a BBQ and a chance to put some food in a freezer overnight. Shower & laundry blocks were clean.
The herb garden was beautifully tendered and available for guests' enjoyment - WOW! Close enough to the highway yet quiet enough to have a good night's sleep - we didn't hear the trucks at all.
Considering our dry the country is at the moment, it was a pleasure to stay here and have shady trees too. We highly recommend a stay.
2 adults, 2 children & a dog for $40 per night = good value.

Our cabin was a wonderful single bedroom unit just opposite the laundry which was great for us as we has some washing to get done. Our cabin had a full length enclosed verandah was was really good as you could sit there in any weather and enjoy a drink etc. The only drawback was the close vicinity to the rail line and old highway which still has plenty of trucks using it and about two trains each night running past for about 10 minutes each( very long trains here). The price of $145.00 per night was the highest we have paid for Park Cabin Accommodation over the last 5 weeks of our trip, we thought it was a little expensive.

I rang up to book a cabin, the lady was pleasant and took all my details, dates and credit card for the deposit. Then she told me that I would have to scan in each day and right at the end she asked me whether I was vaccinated, which I am not. She immediately told me that I could not stay at the Goondiwindi Holiday Park and refunded my deposit. The Queensland Health guidelines clearly state that unvaccinated can stay in hotel accommodation for purposes for work or leisure. (see photo below)

We stayed for one night which was very cold. The cabin had 3 air conditioners and only one worked. The air conditioner in lounge room would not heat and then the air conditioner in main room had a broken blade which made it sound like a helicopter with vibration we had to turn it off as we could not sleep with the noise of it.

Travelling with two 8 week old pups we were welcome in this very clean and spacious cabin. Dogs were confined at all times.
Lovely to arrive with air con already on and cabin cool after travelling in the heat.
Very clean and well appointed cabin.

Facilities were tired and not to a suitable standard. Reception staff was not friendly or helpful. Would try elsewhere before staying here again. The park is a short drive to town and within walking distance of say 15-20 minutes. Caravan park backs onto railway line but no trains used the line for the 2 nights we stayed.

The outdoor heated spa pool was an unexpected treat! Bring swimmers, even if it's cold outside. Daring kids splashed in the icy pool from one end to the other while the toddler and I soaked happily.
Room was clean and well kept. Not a fan of the shower with the flimsy curtain that let water spill on the floor if you weren't careful (or had kids who weren't careful) but the water was brilliantly hot so I'm not complaining. Beds are extremely soft - comfortable if you like that (I struggled a bit but the kids were in heaven). Quiet little community with a few nice animals on leashes wandering about with their owners (though there is a "no pets" sign on the cabin we were in - not sure if they're all like that).
My only complaint was the 1GB limit on the wifi, which is not stated anywhere. When you reach the max, it shuts down 'til after midnight when it rolls over to a new day and gives you another 1GB. I suppose it's to prevent downloading, but in our case we're chronicling our journey for those back home and uploading videos to Youtube was interrupted. It would've been nice to know ahead of time, maybe on the paperwork that gives the password, that we only had a limited amount of data and how much that was.
Overall, we had a very nice stay. Will be back!

Thank you for the awesome review sss979, we do state upon check in that the WIFI isn't greatest and you get about 1gb. Also in the process of getting it upgraded. Happy to hear the daring kids had a splash, still abit chilly for me to attempt a dip in the pool, I'll happily soak in the nice hot spa. Always good to hear feedback about the beds from our guests. We are working on the shower curtains, that one is a work in progress as well. Hope you enjoy your travels, travel safe and we hope to see you again in your travels.

After a long day driving the heated spa was just what the body needed to recover. Going back early in the morning to the spa and enjoying the sunrise was what the mind needed.
Large park with plenty of well marked out areas. The camp kitchens (yes there is a few of them) are basic but what you need.
We stayed in a cabin and it was basic but clean and tidy. The staff friendly and helpful

Spent two nights at the Goondiwindi Holiday Park and was very impressed. Run by a terrific, down to earth couple who seem to take extreme pride in the running of the park. The ammenities are superb, self contained toilet, shower, basin and mirror that were spotless. The sites are grass and spacious and the park is quiet both in the am and pm. Close to the town with all amenities. Try the Queensland Hotel for a meal, excellent. If you’re travelling through Goondiwindi I highly recommend this park.
