Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a wonderful find. Great motel, friendly owner and staff, good menu and selection of beverages. It pays to come with an appetite as they don’t skimp on the serving sizes or the quality of the food (we had the seafood basket and the wagyu rump with mushroom sauce. Well done Mikayla ... I hope I spelled your name right). The rooms were clean and presented well. Jeff (owner) pays particular attention to ensuring that they are COVID-19 friendly, especially if you are concerned at all about the cleanliness and hygiene of the rooms, etc. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend staying here if you are in Goondiwindi.

Situated right next to A McDonalds our motel is right under a very large Landmark. A very large room set up for a person with disabilities, We attended the dining room for our evening meal and the Menu was well presented and the choice was excellent. Although tis motel is situated near a main highway we did not hear any noise from the traffic at night

The motel is situated a little way out of town adjacent to a Maccas and a servo - limited choice of meals, which means driving into town to get a decent feed. The room was pleasant but a little too close to the highway so picked up heavy traffic noise although it did die down during the night. The person on reception did not present well.

We arrived at about 4:00 in the afternoon. Receptionist was surly to the point of rudeness

Location is poor. Way out of town next to the highway, a garage and a McDonalds

Rooms are modern and have shaded parking places. There is a pool but we did not use it

Room was dirty and smelly. Did not sleep well. Not a nice experience

We found a dirty, used plate in the microwave. Crockery was not clean

Hated the place and at $160 it was far too expensive

The staff were very friendly and the rooms initially were clean.
The walls are paper thin. Mac Donalds driveway service is next door. Water pressure is barely greater than a dribble. Stayed a couple of nights and complained but nothing could be changed as they were booked out with Main Roads staff. After the first night back the room still had to be serviced, bins full, towels on the floor, bed unmade, cup marks on the cabinet and still no toilet paper, all at 4:30 pm. I complained about the toilet blockage too, and this was never fixed. They serviced the room at my complaint within 10 minutes. I will NOTstay again. I would really need to be desperate!

Hello Shayne, I'm happy you will not be staying again, the gov dept that book and pay for your room was made well aware that you would be put in that room due to the shortage of rooms they agreed to take it. the bin was on the bench without a liner, i know this because first thing of the morning i go into rooms and remove bin liners and rubbish left around the rooms check the soap dispenser and remove any towels that are left on the floor the towels were on the rack, the bed was unmade, and the cleaner would not have made it because you had left your sleep mask on the bed and they are not permitted to touch personal belongings anyway,if you'd looked in the cupboard under the basin there is a spare toilet roll. as for the toilet blockage i think your exaggerating as i did not have to unblock the toilet, nor was asked to, the cup marks on the bench were due to you spilling drink and yes we agreed that your room was missed by the cleaning staff who make the beds and mop etc i spoke to the cleaner about it and because your car was parked outside the room she knocked with no answer she thought you was sleeping, the walls are not paper thin they are bessa block it was the adjoining door that let noise in and we had a conversation about that, as how i want to put a double door to deaden the noise to the adjoining family room as for the main roads guys staying they are good guests and will be staying again also when myself and kayla entered you room to service it you said i only want towels not to worry about the rest. i am happy with reviews that point out legit issues and the truth is put forward, i hope you do not teach our younger generation your values about truth. have a nice day

The room was good but the mattress was so uncomfortable we got near to no sleep and with the big day of travel ahead it was an issue.
The restaurant was expensive with basic food. I'm sure the owners attempt to make people's stay comfortable however we would not stay at this Motor Inn again.

hi Lotstosee345 I'm sorry that you were disappointed with your stay that the bed did not meet your expectations, but as for the food in my dining room it is all high quality meats and fresh vegetables, all sauces and meals are prepared and cooked to order not pre-made and re warmed, as for expensive i only cover costs and do not make a profit from the meals

What a joy after a long drive. These guys capture the true meaning of country hospitality. Nothing was a trouble. Rooms were very spacious, comfy bed, refreshing pool, and chilly air conditioner (especially on a hot day - very welcomed). Dinner in their restaurant was very enjoyable and well presented, plenty of it and very well cooked. Love your can do attitude and true 'Aussie Spirit" Good on ya mate!

As we make our way back down south from Cairns to Victoria we booked a room at Country Roads Motor inn at Goondiwindi. This place is the best accommodation we have had in the 5 weeks we have been travelling.

Even after staying in Cairns with amazing views this place beats it all. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was excellent and the menu catered for everyone.

The managers/owners should congratulate themselves & understand that they are better than other
accommodation places in Qld. Do yourself a favour and stay here they are so welcoming.

The rooms are 5 star

This motel is medium size and offers rooms that exceed what you would expect to find in a regional area. They are very spacious and the beds are sensational. The owner Jeff is a great bloke and Mikayla can cook a steak to absolute perfection.

I'd recommend dining in, there is great variety of meals on offer on the menu

Parking is great and right at your door, parking can also accomodate big vehicles in the rear yard with an access and locked gate of its own

Highly recommend staying here, especially for a last minute, overnight stay. Owners were lovely to deal with. Rooms were extremely clean and we were towing a trailer, so they had a place to park up the vehicle and trailer close by, to our room. We were able to get a light meal, by room service and it was a good dinner. Easy to get to, on the main highway. Can be a little noisy with trucks, however, if you are needing the rest from driving long distances, like we do, I’m sure you won’t hear much at all!!!
