This resort is in a perfect location, within walking distance to the beach, shops and Main Street. There’s an amazing restaurant across the road and also a fantastic pizza place with is perfect when travelling with kids or wanting a more relaxed dining option. The view is stunning and the pool area amazing- a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view of the Glass House Mountains.

The apartment was great, had a washer and dryer and ample space for a large family. The only issue was the aircon, we were unable to adjust the temperature in the bed room and the outdoor unit is right outside the bedroom door - it wouldn’t be an issue usually, other than it was exceptionally old and loins and clunky when running which meant no sleep at night.

Overall we had a great time and enjoyed the hospitality here.

Room 504 was 3 bedroom 2 bathroom, great tv and wifi, full kitchen, big balcony and great views. Pool was a little cold, but it was winter, used sauna. Didn't need car as could walk to all beaches and many restaurants. Would go again. Good for large families or older kids

We stayed a few days in room 804 which is a three bedroom, two bathroom apartment. It looks like it has just been painted and has the best ocean views right around to the sunset over the glasshouse mountains. There is a huge TV in the living area as well as a good size TV in the main bedroom. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook for ourselves. Breakfast each morning on the balcony was very peaceful. Everything is within easy walking distance to restaurants, beach & supermarket as well as having two car spaces if needed. The rooftop pool and spa was terrific at the end of the day again with nice sunsets.
Thank you for our stay, we will be back for sure and hope to get room 804 again.

Arrived, check in lady was nice. Went up to room and wasn't very happy. First floor was very noisy, let in lots of noise from the traffic and even could hear people talking going by. The apartment was clean but outdated. Bathrooms were very poorly lit and the separate toilet was tiny! Good tv and wifi though. Comfortable beds but still hard to sleep with the street noise. The rooftop area had a great view of the mountains and the inlet. The pool was a good size but cold as! That area was fenced but the wind still got underneath the fencing and it did make it a bit dificult to get comfortable or warm. The spa we found out when we went up there was out of order due to damage done to the fencing which was disappointing but later found out from the front desk lady that it was due to freak weather that hit the area so if you are thinking of staying around the time of this review (mid april 2022) call and see if its available again if thats important. No houskeeping. To summarise, look somewhere else.

Staying at pumicestone blue over the weekend would have been a pleasure enjoying the neat rooms and avaliable facilities, which although were not spectacular still were avaliable. But the staff, more so reception staff ruined the complex. Both my partner and i found them to be short with not only us but other patrons and at times just plain rude.
Stay if you like but we wont be visiting again.
Kat.

Even though your review was quite some time ago we would like to advise that Pumicestone Blue Resort has been under new Management for quite some time now. It is not nice when reception staff are rude and unfriendly and hope that if you choose to stay with us again we can make your stay friendly and enjoyable.

Worst service I have ever received, we were charged extra cost for no reason, without our permission and spoken to horribly. Managers were very unorganized and unprofessional. Bedrooms were small, beds uncomfortable, air conditioning not even working. Do yourself a favour and do not book here.

This was my birthday present from my daughter, there was 5 of us including my 2 `1/2 yr old grandson. I have stayed in condos like this all over North America & Australia, this one was disappointing. The location was great, just a short walk to the beach & shoppes. The condo was clean but lacking in ALOT of supplies. No face clothes, not enough soap for laundry, bathing & dish washing, only 2 rolls of toilet paper. The kitchen was very poorly equipped, the knives wouldn't even slice the bread!! There wasnt even enough dishes considering we had a 3 bed condo and not even a salt & pepper were supplied. The A/C unit was VERY noisy inside & out. No staff was available to ask any questions. The wifi included was very limited, actually cut me off the last day we were there. I'm not sure of the cost but I'm going to say other than the location & cleanliness, perhaps looking elsewhere might be recommended.

I told the wife here for our 10th anniversary we stayed in 603 when opening the door the room had a real bad stale smell had to open doors and let it air out, the bed was like sleeping on cement, other than that if was a nice place to stay, awesome pizza downstairs, car park was great, would stay again but not in 603, my back is still sore from bed.

We'll definitely go back to Pumicestone Blue Resort next time we stay at Caloundra. We had 8 beautiful nights in a 2 bedroom apartment on the 9th floor with absolutely beautiful views and we even saw whales flapping their fins and tails from our balcony. It is very central to town, Stocklands Shopping Centre, cafes and takeaway shops and the great markets they have in Bulcock Street on Sundays. We only used our car twice while we were there as we pretty much walked everywhere. The rooftop pool was spectacular and the BBQ area on the rooftop was also great. The staff were friendly and helpful to the lead up to our stay and while we were there. We usually stay at another resort at Golden Beach on our holidays but Pumicestone Blue Resort has definitely won us over. Can't wait until our next holidays.

I have stayed at the Pumicestone two times, the most recent in April 2012. I had booked this with Wotif as a Water View, and was put in an apartment on a very low level so there really were no water views. For some this would have been a significant issue, however I let it go as it was not a priority at the time. The gym was out of action as it was being worked on, the Pool is very good and well heated along with the Spa. The apartment was in good condition and quite comfortable - I would say about 4 stars inside, and 3.5 stars for the facilities and building. If you can get a good deal, its ok but dont expect a resort like hotel. Its an apartment block with a nice pool.
