BreakFree Grand Pacific Caloundra offers a prime location that many guests love, with easy access to the waterfront and local dining. However, some travelers have expressed concerns about the hotel's value, pointing out the outdated facilities and additional costs. While the rooms are equipped with necessary amenities, reports of them being outdated and poorly maintained are common. Praise is given for the hotel's cleanliness and helpful staff, but mixed feelings persist due to issues with slow refunds and ongoing renovations.

Great Location and beautiful resort pool overlooking ocean inlet. The room was the cleanest I have seen as all kitchen utensils and equipment was wrapped in plastic so you know it has been cleaned. There is a full sized kitchen with oven/grill and fullsized fridge perfect for family vacations.
The single beds are small so not suitable for older teens but they suited our children just fine. Receptionist Zoe is the best at her job and her manner with guests is very professional and kind. We look forward to staying there again in future.

stayed for a few days over new years with visitors from Norway, really enjoyed the excellent location and fantastic views.

Only slight issue was the heat in the 3rd bedroom was unbearable, couldn't open the windows beyond 2cm for safety reasons, ceiling fan would have been a big help.

It was our second stay here, and won't be our last.

Dear Darren G, We appreciate the feedback within your review and great to read that you enjoyed the location and views. As you can understand it is never our want, nor our intention, to have any one of our guests leaving feeling anything but completely satisfied. This place is very well located in the centre of Caloundra nestled between the Main Street and Bulcock beach. We stayed in a Boardwalk apartment which overall was a bit run down but it was functional. Be aware that there is no servicing of your room, we were there for a week and had no linen / towel change. You need to run your rubbish down to the basement when its full and you won't be resupplied with soap, toilet paper etc unless you go to the reception and specifically ask for it.

The staff are fantastic, very helpful and always greet you with a smile.

Unit 66 is a one bedroom with it's own private rooftop spa, bbq area which we didn't use.
Kitchen set up was very good with large fridge and multi use bench top oven. (No dishwasher)
Unit has own washing machine and dryer in bathroom. Large new shower with good pressure, no bath.
Separate bedroom with firm queen size bed.
It's on the non sunny side for afternoon sun which suited us as it could be too hot and sunny to sit on the other side and they have the complex's pool below. Only downside of that is the view is not as good and side street below.
Unit comes with an allocated carpark in a secure part of the building.

Unit 66 is a 1br unit on the 3rd floor of Breakfree. The unit is well appointed with a modern feel, quality furnishings and appliances, with a small balcony and stairs to your private rooftop area. This is fitted with a large spa and BBQ area with a lounge to relax in, that is also very private from towering units and other appartments.Very comfortable recliners in the lounge, large TV with Foxtel and DVD player.
Kitchen has a standup fridge/freezer with combination steamer/oven/microwave appliance - it was weird to use but worked great.
Bedroom is a large Queen, very comfortable, TV in the bedroom with hanging cupboard and drawers. There is a small window but it does not open. The only open window is the sliding door to the balcony. The Aircon works well and quiet.

The staff were very welcoming on arrival. Fauve was extremely helpful with out check in and apologised for the inconvenience of the AC not working. Fortunately the weather was cool/raining and it was not an issue for us. Apartment #14 was well located near the pool on the ground floor of the resort section, perfect for the kids. Fauve was also very helpful in helping us arrange trips locally. Brilliant customer service. The apartment itself was modern, clean, everything else worked. Need to bring salt pepper etc due to COVID. Everything else was provided for including linen and towels (as some places since COVID do not provide these). The Sunday market was 1 block away and there is a great playground on the foreshore a short walk away. Good cafes and restaurants nearby. Easily facilitated for a week. Half an hour to Sea Life aquarium and Australia Zoo. We would stay here again.

I booked a 3 bedroom apartment water view and the location and room view were great but the apartment was very tired and worn . The beds were not very comfortable and being Easter the room was very expensive especially for the quality. There were crumbs on the carpet which I vacuumed when I arrived and the towels supplied were very thin .

The overall experience was fantastic. The hotel room was generous in size, two bedrooms, two bathrooms complete with full kitchen, washer and dryer. The view out to the pool and beach were fantastic and the location was wonderfully close to required shops at the west end of Bulcock St and the shops along the Esplanade... we were even lucky enough to experience the night market along the Esplanade. The only knock on the hotel room is the lack of air conditioning to the front end of the apartment which was the kids room. A pedestal fan in the kitchen was enough to push some cool air through the bedroom louvre doors with the ceiling fan running on medium enough to make the room cool enough to sleep. . The other issue with the hot humid air coming through the front door / entry corridor was the condensation formed on the air conditioning vents and dripping onto the carpet But these were minor things that didn't worry us too much once we sorted the work arounds.

From check in with the friendly girls on reception to the unit and the views were to die for. The unit was very clean & comfortable we walked in & felt at home, the view from the balcony and private roof top spa & bbq area was fantastic. The bath was so deep & relaxing not to mention the unit had ever thing that we needed.
The pool, spas and bbq area in the grounds were very clean & well kept, we enjoyed breakfast down by the pool & bbq area when our daughters and grandbabies visited for grandapa's birthday.
A big thank you Grand pacific we enjoyed our stay & will be back very soon.

We had an apartment with a rooftop spa and BBQ area. Checking was quick and easy, good safe parking and the room very well situated. Comfortable bed, good living area and spacious kitchen area. Although there needs to be a little more attention to detail in terms of globes working, cleanliness under the cupboards etc, the room itself was clean. Wi-fi was a problem as it took three days to sort out the codes that were not working and the washing machine needed some attending to but otherwise its a great location and relatively good value for money. Staff are friendly and the pool area/grounds are spotless and inviting.
