Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort is a mixed bag, according to guest feedback. While its location earns high marks for convenience, opinions on the resort's atmosphere and rooms are split, with some guests appreciating their modernity while others find them outdated and not worth the price. The cleanliness generally satisfies visitors, but housekeeping consistency could be improved. The service and amenities receive praise but are also noted for occasional lapses in attentiveness and maintenance. Travelers often question the value for the price paid at this family-friendly destination.

First time away with kids during school holidays and we were dreading it but this place is amazing!! 🤩 we had a family room which was great and we stayed for 4 nights, all the staff were so friendly and helpful and the kids had a ball (and so did we). The waterpark was fab! With crazy golf and a jumping castle and the food in the restaurant was worth the money! We will most definitely be back here again 😁

As for the reviews about towel changes!! we were offered clean/fresh towels every night.

We had a quick trip and my kids absolutely loved the waterpark and pool. The convenience of the amenities were great with the restaurant right next to the pool area, supermarket, takeaway etc across the road and close to beach. The pool bar staff, along with the check in and cleaning staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful. Lots to love. Only a few minor things that could have made this stay even better- one of those being an alternative lock option from inside the room that is out of reach of little hands. This may be a feature in other room types at the resort but the room we stayed in was just a bit too easy for my Houdini children to waltz out of at any time 🤣

Well this is definitely a family resort and not really for singles or couples.

If you’re a single or couple i suggest looking elsewhere. Especially during school holidays. There were kids everywhere. You would think the parents would take them to the kids pool/park. It was advertised that adults could enjoy cocktails by the poolbar but that wasn’t enjoyable as there were kids being loud at that pool too so wasn’t really relaxing. Parents also allowed their kids to run and scream down hallways even at night. And walls were pretty thin so heard kids having tantrums in the early mornings and night. Luckily i travel with earplugs

Hotel is located in a good spot and has free parking. We had an Executive King Studio and was pretty roomy. Happy hour from 4-5 with decent pricing on drinks. Food was pretty good

Cons- Hotel does not have room service. You had to order and go and pick it up yourself. Restaurant had a 20% fee on public holidays. No foxtel just normal tv. No mini bar. Hotel is a little dated and could do with a renovation.

Pros- Parking near rooms, laundry facilities, full size hair dryer, Woolworths right across the road for snacks

Check in - arrived at check in, greated by a very unenthusiastic receptionist. When given the keys to our room, I asked what floor it was on and was advised bottom floor or second floor then she advised she didn’t actually know (or appear to care) she advised no parking, but to park outside the room, unpack and then park at reception.
Arrived at room, top of the building, 3rd floor!! As we were unpacking 3 kids under 5 and 7 days worth of luggage the grumpy permanent resident on the ground floor asked us to move the car..marking their parking territory and immediately making us feel uncomfortable. My husband then had to move the car and drag all the belongings up 3 flights of stairs..the parking spot for this resident was not used our entire 7 night stay.

Room - VERY dated and not at all what was advertised on booking.com. Dirty couch, we found a half eaten chocolate bar and a kids toy car down the side of it! Very dirty curtains with stains. Screen door to the balcony broken, not great when you have young kids! Wifi does not work. Cupboards in bedrooms off the tracks and wouldn’t slide, No aircon in the main bedroom. No blinds or curtains in the kitchen with the outdoor stair light shining through all night long. Leaking tap in the laundry sink. Rug in the lounge area wasn’t clean. Booked for 5 people, however had a 4 seater dining table! Overall feel of the room was cheap, needed painting and renovating.
This is the first place we’ve stayed that doesn’t turn on the aircon/fans in the room for you prior to check in. Resulted in checking into a stinking hot room!

Plus side to rooms - the beautiful cleaning staff were extremely friendly and arrived each day with fresh towels, removed old towels, made beds and stocked up all toilet rolls, shampoos etc.

Pool area - small for the size of the resort, limited seating around the pool and got quite rowdy with big groups drinking alcohol and playing their own music.
Bar staff - least friendly staff in the resort.
20% surcharge on food and drink on public holidays.

Splash area - kids had a great time, however as per the rest of the resort it is run down, the sides of the pool were breaking off and floating into the pool! Seating is uncomfortable for a 4 star resort.
Staff at the cafe hut were lovely, very friendly.

Jumping pillow, climbing frame, putt putt - blazing hot!! Run down! The climbing frame needs sand under it! The kids coming off the splash area and jumping pillow with no shoes hurt their feet on all the twigs and rocks in this area, also, Why no shade?

Smoking in the middle of the resort, wasn’t great walking 3 small kiddies past throughout the day!

We have travelled to lots of resorts and would rate this as one of the most disappointing for the price point. Management, before you do your auto response, we won’t be back! I just wanted to leave a review I wish I had access to read before booking.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're genuinely sorry to hear about the challenges you faced during your stay, and we deeply regret that we didn’t meet your expectations. We truly value guest feedback, as it helps us identify areas for improvement. We apologize for the experience at check-in, and we will certainly address the enthusiasm and knowledge of our front desk team to ensure a warmer welcome and clearer communication moving forward. We are also sorry that the condition of the room did not meet your standards. The issues you mentioned regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and comfort are not reflective of the experience we aim to provide. We will be working with our housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure these concerns are addressed. Regarding the lack of air conditioning and the issues with the room's features, we understand how frustrating that must have been, especially with young children. Your feedback about the pool area and the resort amenities is equally valuable, and we will be reviewing the facilities to ensure they are up to the standard that we expect for our guests. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the smoking area and the discomfort around the outdoor areas, as we strive to provide a family-friendly environment. We are grateful for your recognition of our wonderful cleaning staff, and we will be sure to pass along your kind words. We're also pleased to hear your positive experience with the cafe hut team and the kids' splash area. Again, we sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you encountered. We take your feedback seriously and will work diligently to improve the areas you've mentioned for future guests. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

Absolutely terrible.
Would not even consider this place as a resort, more like a cheap motel without the benefit of being cheap.
Over $500/night for a run down, unserviced room. Furniture was old, uncomfortable and broken, kids mattresses were disgusting, blinds dirty and broken, crappy old tv, crappy old air conditioner, carpet stained and frayed, paint peeling from bedroom wall, rangehood vented into a cupboard so the smoke alarm goes off if you try to cook anything, cigarette burn in the curtains, no exhaust fan in shower and the privilege of being woken up at 6:30am every morning by the truck emptying dumpsters.
Also, it seems as though the complimentary wifi is provided by an old dial up modem and reaches some areas of the room eventually.
Of the times we left the room to explore other areas of the ‘resort’ we found further disappointment. Whilst the staff in the restaurant were lovely, the food was mediocre at best. Breakfast (not included in a $500+/night room) was boring, lunch I tried a chicken parmigiana which was small & soggy and for dinner I ordered a steak which was well cooked but had no seasoning, I also tried my partners pork ribs which tasted boiled and flavourless.
I also have some safety concerns with some of the facilities. The decking in the pool area is unmaintained and extremely slippery. My daughter slipped quite badly and I witnessed several others do the same.
There is also a large exposed aluminium retainer of some description on the ground near the waterpark where the rubber matting has pulled away. Definitely a hazard considering it’s an area intended for children.
The garden areas were reasonably nice however the pond looks disgusting.
The room was serviced once during our 7 night stay. Some fresh towels and not running out of toilet paper would have been nice.
Lastly, the day before I checked out I asked to be contacted by management to voice my concerns. I was told this would happen the next day. As I was going to be on a plane most of that day I asked to be contacted via email.
I was contacted the next day by phone as I was trying to board a plane, I told this to whoever I spoke to and haven’t heard a word since.
In conclusion, this place is absolutely terrible and we’d have been better off staying in a caravan park. As a matter of fact, after our first night we did book alternative accommodation for 2 of our 7 nights but unfortunately couldn’t book the whole 7 elsewhere on short notice.
Would definitely not recommend.

The rooms are average - they don’t service the rooms which is disappointing, especially given the price you pay. Had to ring reception to ask for more toilet paper and shower gel, as they didn’t re fill, and to be told I have to collect it from reception myself I thought was extremely poor. The breakfast buffet is very budget, and the splash park is dangerous. I saw about 3 kids not including mine leave crying with injuries within the space of 1 hour.
I won’t be returning

This resort is made up of self contained apartments.
Our family consisted of my daughter, partner and 2 year old child who stayed in a two bedroom villa. My husband and I had a one bedroom executive apartment.
The drawcard for us was the kids water park.
The waterpark is great for toddlers, and young children with water slides, water sprinklers all within a very shallow pool.
Lots of seating and sunlounges both in sun and in shade. A large deep pool with heated spa is located elsewhere on the vast grounds.
The pool is conveniently located near the cafe/bar that served a variety of takeaway meals.
I would of enjoyed some fresh sandwiches and toasties rather than the "meals" on offer.
The pool area is very short on sunlounges and seating in general. Our visit was outside of school holidays and summer holidays so we were able to get a table and chairs to sit at, but there is very little seating mainly because the area around the pool is very small.
The area needs to be expanded so that more sun lounges can be added for better enjoyment of this space. Its not a space that you could spend more than a couple of hours .
Breakfast is served from 7-9 in the restaurant.
A very basic buffet breakfast with the usual inclusions, also cooked very basically.
The food was cold, probably due to the A/C being set so low .Eggs overdone,no pieces of fruit,no cheese or cold meats with very overpriced cups of barista made coffee.
After two days of such average breakfast, McDonald's seemed my better option.
The apartments, some of which are 3 bedrooms also very basic, with not alot of consideration of what families travelling with children require. I need a bucket in the laundry,I need some large serving bowls and a water jug in the kitchen. I need a plug in the sink that seals so I can wash dishes .I need a spare blanket in the bedroom . I need a very basic clean of the apartment after 3 days consisting of fresh towels and a vacuum of the floor at the very least. This accomadation is not priced cheaply per night, the rooms should be serviced , the buffet breakfast should be better for the price you pay.Unfortunately I was very underwhelmed by my whole experience at Oaks Sunshine Coast, the only true selling point to get guests staying here is the kids waterpark. At least my grandson enjoyed his stay.

We occupied 2 rooms. Housekeeping needs a lot of attention. Our beds was not freshly made up, only closed up and only after complaining to the reception did they make the beds up properly. We did not receive any complimentary coffee, sugar, tea or soaps in our room, and only after calling reception and having no answer, compelling us to walk down to reception and bring this to their notice was this corrected after 4pm. The next day was the same problems, beds not made and no complimentary coffee, tea or milk. It was a few cold days and a nice cup of coffee before bed the first night would have been nice.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa (room 26) and woke up the next day by beeping noise of mewp. We weren’t advise during check in that there will be renovation during our stay. Monday morning just after 8am when I’m putting the bin out, a worker outside just said they’re doing some work at the room next door I said that’s fine. Then when I came out again just after 10am someone already started painting the front of the villa we’re staying. I moved out the car from the garage and parked somewhere else for precaution as the ladder was just about 2 metre distance from our brand new car. The next day we were surprised in the morning that someone is already painting the front again without telling us. Luckily our brand new car parked in the garage in front of the villa just got a tiny splash of paint. The car next door has cover on it and ours don’t. They also painted the front screen door even they knew someone was check in. During check out it was tricky to get out the door with your stuffs and toddler not touching the wet paint on the wall and screen door. Even some of us adults got paint on our clothes. Not very happy with it.

First holiday in 5 years & I must say I was disappointed! Upon arriving the staff were not friendly & when asked about how to get to the beach it was vague information & a half drawn map! The room was clean but not suitable for more than one person (son & I) No where to hang wet beach towels or togs, no linen service, even though it says fresh towels daily! No bins, no sink to even fill your water bottle up. Children knocking on your door & playing games in foyer! Painting & work going on in & around building on school holidays. No place to sit outside just to enjoy & unable to open windows. Breakfast is included for your stay but you can never get a seat & the buffet is empty of food. Staff there were lovely & rushed off their feet. It’s too far from everything in Caloundra… I would not recommend this place.
