Had an overnight stay as a treat to unwind from partner’s ongoing medical appts – in town for brunch then called in to enquire where to park car at our 2pm check-in. Very friendly & helpful reception. Manager sent us a text message 10 minutes later to advise us our room was ready and we were allowed to check in 2 hours early – much appreciated, as by then hubby needed a rest. We were on level 2 and the views were outstanding – from the areas inside the unit & especially the balcony. And, yes, there were people fishing from outside their ground floor units! Very comfortable and clean unit, well set up for longer stay with all amenities – hopefully a longer stay for us next time! Great location – very handy (easy walking distance) to shops, restaurants, beaches, park, boardwalk, etc. Plenty of activities to watch – interesting vehicles on road, joggers & families on boardwalk, and all kinds of water craft & activities on the Pumicestone Passage. A glass of wine, nibblies & a reading book out on the balcony – such a good life! Lovely and quiet at night, and I was lucky to be up early enough the next morning to watch some fishing boats heading out to sea just on daybreak – disturbing the mirror calm water surface - marvellous to watch. Top accommodation and location!

For location you cannot do better in Caloundra. We stayed in what I describe as a large studio room with kitchen and spa bath inside the room near bed. It has a lovely small balcony and a stairwell leading to your own private courtyard balcony overlooking the beautiful Pumiston Passage. It has a table 4 seats and a weber style BBQ. There are many restaurants nearby spoils you for choice. Unfortunately the premises are very dated haven't been upgraded. The room air conditioning didn't work correctly and left us freezing during the night. There is a large curtain which you can draw between the bedroom area and the loungeroom/ kitchen area. The toilet is small but separate from the bathroom. It just needs to be updated.

Stayed over Easter, apartments were fairly spacious, clean and had nice views of Bulcock Beach the only thing was it pretty much rained each day but thats no fault of La Promenade of course. There were 2 TVs with Free to Air TV and also a small selection of Foxtel channels plus a DVD player. The place is run by Michael and Kerry who were extremely nice and very helpful.
La Promenade is in walking distance to local shops, cafes, bars and the beach plus there are walks to Kings Beach and Golden Beach close by.
All in all a great location and a nice stay in clean spacious rooms with views will definitely stay here again on our next stay in Caloundra

La Promenade Cafe Caloundra, QLD
Great spot on the water, fantastic service from our young waiter, along with good meals. Thank you. Sorry I didn’t take any photos. There are tables indoors and outdoors where cafe blinds minimise the wind.

Booked over the phone and got a good deal with a complimentary bottle of wine. Great room views and only one street from the main part of town, great markets on Sunday. Walked to dinner each night along the boardwalk. Twilight markets for the long weekend right at the door. Had a relaxing weekend and the owners are really friendly and helpful.

We came in without a reservation and hoping for the best. Sean greeted us at the check-in counter and gave us an absolute waterfront unit on a corner, with views to die for. The unit is well-equipped, with a kitchenette, washer and dryer, comfortable sitting and eating area, a spa bath overlooking the water, and a lovely balcony which we would have spent the whole time on except for the rain. Free underground parking, close to all shops and restaurants, and a lovely cafe right next door. Highly recommended - we will definitely be back next time we’re down under!

We have been staying here for 10 years and the hosts Kerry and Michael became like family. Then new Management took over and on our last visit in October we arrived to a dirty room and there was nobody on-site to assist. Took a couple of hours to sort. We were compensated with a free night. Next day we went on a boat trip and whilst sailing past our room saw the Cleaner mop the balcony floor, then the table, then the floor again. Of course we complained again especially during COVID times. We were offered a second free night off our next stay. So here we are again and on check-in we noticed they had written on the registration card " Very difficult guests, both of them" !!!!!
If accepting below standard service makes us difficult, the maybe we are. NEVER RETURNING

The worst service I’ve ever come across. I can only assume the people that visit this cafe are holiday makers that don’t know how bad the service is. The young girl serving today had the worst customer skills I have ever come across and was extremely rude. If this was by business I would be very embarrassed. Obviously people just go there for the view. Disgraceful service!!!!!

Management were absolutely top notch. Went out of his way to get us a bed for the night when we were desperate and gave us the cheapest rate during peak season it was unbelievable! Rooms and view were outstanding. Can’t wait to come back for another chilled out weekend. Thanks staff 😬

A fabulous place to stay. We were in a 2 bedroom unit which overlooked the water. It was roomy, very clean and had everything we needed. It’s in a great location and check in was easy. Highly recommended for a long or short stay. Each unit has an allocated car park.
