We paid approx $180 a night for three nights. there was only 1 towel each in the apartment if we wanted more we had to hire them. It was the same with dish-washing liquid and other complimentary sachets, only one sachet and then we had to buy more. The toilet ran constantly reception said they would look at it tomorrow, they didn't. Thus we had the choice of the constant noise or turning it off and not be able to flush. the pool had a spa attached that overflowed into it, this made the pool was very hot. Great views just couldn't enjoy them from the Balcony because of the road noise.
Look elsewhere there are much better

Nice clean room, very friendly staff, the room was very comfy, nice views from the balcony, very large fridge, definitely worth it's 4 star rating.

Downsides were minor- only a tiny milk in the fridge (but I always bring milk to motels anyway), no ice making trays in the room/fridge. Both very minor things.

Big one for me, no safety chain or lock system on the inside of the door, I have had an experience where I was given a room key for an already occupied room, walked in on 2 teenage girls, I always put the internal lock on the door when I'm inside, this room had no such facility.

We stayed in a budget one bedroom apartment on the second level with a balcony that faced the 11 level resort across the road. It received the sun in the morning. It was a spacious apartment however the bathroom was relatively small. Bed was comfortable and the washing machine and drier worked well. The pool was great.
We would have rated the unit higher however when we advised reception that the dish washer didn’t work and looked as if it had a fault, they advised that they would let the unit owner know. It was obvious that the dish washer had been faulty for a while. Surely if a unit is advertised with a dish washer, the managers have a responsibility to ensure it is operational.

SO dirty! Would give it 0 stars if I could. Kitchen oven knob broken, oven trays full of old grease and oil. Freezer drawers cracked and broken. We have to bring our bags up in coles trolleys!!! Room doors don’t stay open, been given rubber wedges that are even broken! Hardly any pots or pans to use. It’s actually a motel but the website does not state anywhere that it is a motel!! Customer service was totally unhelpful, although this is non refundable we were also willing to pay a large cancellation fee but still, disappointing communication from the staff!

The unit smelled absolutely disgusting, like old nappies. At 10pm the smoke alarm in our unit went off in a short burst of noise and unfortunately it went off another 15 times through the night till finally at 8.03am.

Next morning we told the manager what had happened and she immediately got onto it, had the electrician in who fixed it thankfully. For the disgusting smell the manager had a deodoriser put through the unit. The unit smelled better after this but my husband could still detect the underlying stench.

We were not offered a refund for our totally sleepless and disturbed first night (no one could sleep through the hotel alarm!). The managers did give us a complimentary bottle of wine and some chocolate but we had paid approx. $220 for the room each night. One nights refund should definitely have also been given.

Despite our awful experience the unit itself would have been quite nice for our 2 night stay, the decor was very good, the lounge and bed were very comfortable. Nice clean carpets. Bathroom was good, although the screen over the bath didn’t really stop water from going on to the floor so the bath mat got soaked at every shower. But I could live with that for 2 nights.

Glad we didn't need to do any washing. The tumble drier was old, a disgusting state inside, there was no way I would have put anything in it. The washing machine was in slightly better condition.

I really liked the managers, lovely people, but regretfully we will not stay here again.

I initially wrote an email to the managers of Ocean Views Resort on 6.3.23 after my husband & I had stayed there the previous night. A week later, they have not paid me the courtesy of a reply so it appears that sharing our feedback with others in a more public forum is the only way to get their attention.

While our room looked comfortable enough on arrival, it was evident that the wall and floor tiles in the shower were in need of a good scrub. There were a couple of areas of black mould on the wall and a lot of orange scum between the tiles on the floor and half way up the wall. It wasn't particularly nice stepping in to have a shower when clearly it hadn't been cleaned properly for some time.

More disturbing was when we decided to pull back the covers before going bed at night. We inadvertently pulled back the top sheet only (thinking it was a doona cover with the doona inside.) The doona underneath the top sheet had multiple stains on it (bodily fluids.) This was a pretty disgusting sight in what is supposed to be a "resort". Clearly, the doonas are not washed with any frequency at all.

A nice welcome and amazing views from the roof top terrace do not compensate for the noticeable lack of cleaning, and nor does a towel folded into the shape of a lobster with googly eyes sitting on it. We will not be back!

We would have rated this place a 5 but it is not on the water side but a block back. The sea view rooms on high floors do get a limited sea view and ours was very exposed to the weather.
Location is good with a shopping centre 10 minutes walk away. We had booked our room through a 3 rd party and as such the resort did not have our cc number. They could not let us into the room unless we also supplied them a cc number. As it was close to 5pm when the reception shuts and phone connection was terrible we were worried we may not be able to get into the resort. We were eventually able to find better phone reception so all worked out OK. I wonder why this could not have been sorted out between the booking company and the hotel as we had pre paid for our room.
Other than that the room was a good size and was well presented.

We came here for a quick stopover and found the resort perfectly fine. The location was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room itself was a bit dated and needed a deep clean as there were some stained carpets that were a bit unwholesome.

Otherwise really good option to stay in while in Caloundra.

My sister and I booked a deluxe ocean view room with a kitchenette. Good sized balcony and room was really nice. Great location and good value for money.
The only criticism I have is when booking the room with a rollaway bed I checked to make sure it was a full size bed and good mattress. I was assured it was but found it to be very narrow with extremely thin foam mattress that felt like I was sleeping on concrete and could not sleep on it.
I have had rollaway beds before when going away and the quality has been the same as sleeping on a comfortable king single. I would strongly recommend spending the extra if you are going to offer rollaway beds.

Upon entering the room we noticed the roof looked to be mouldy, Im still not sure if it wad really mould or where it wasn't painted very well 🤔
Bathroom lighting & ventilation was almost non existent, definitely dont try to do your makeup in there.
Lights from outside were very bright shining through the curtains all night, very hard to sleep when the room was lit up.
No real view like we had thought 😔 but apparently there's a good view from the roof.
Tv was not viewable from bed due to it being so low, all they needed to do was put it on a bracket but instead it was in a low tv table which was way to low for viewing it from the bed.

Thank you very much for your feedback. We take all comments seriously and would be happy to discuss in further detail the unit specifically you stayed in if you would like to contact us directly at the resort. Since your stay our Housekeeping team and Air-conditioning specialists are completing thorough deep cleaning and servicing of all aircon units and ensuring roof areas are treated to prevent any future mould being so close to ocean areas. We are also passing on comments to the owner of this unit to advise possible upgrades to this room with reference to your other comments. Thank you again for your feedback and please feel welcome to contact us further if required.
