Rumba Beach Resort has a prime beachfront location directly opposite Bulcock Beach with many great restaurants and a shopping precinct only a short stroll away. We stayed in a premium 2 bedroom spa apartment boasting panoramic ocean views. The apartment was clean and well equipped with a full size kitchen, two spacious bathrooms and a laundry. The resort provides guests with fresh linen, bath towels and beach towels and features 2 swimming pools, a jacuzzi and a poolside cocktail bar. The only suggestion would be a larger lounge with chaise; or perhaps adding a couple of recliners so all guests can put their feet up when watching TV or relaxing.

We spent seven nights at the Rumba resort in August 24. It was our first visit to the Sunshine Coast and the Rumba resort was the perfect place to stay. The apartment was really well appointed with two bathrooms a full laundry and kitchen, dining and living areas and a balcony. It was perfect as we self-catered most days. The resort had three pools, a heated lap pool (25 degrees), a large separate spa pool plus an unheated pool and spa. We used the lap pool everyday it was fabulous. The complimentary filter coffee and muffins each morning in the bar area is a lovely addition too. We enjoyed happy hour at the bar and the acoustic entertainers on Friday & Saturday were great. The resort location is really good overlooking the beach with walking access to multiple restaurants. We would recommend Rumba for a great place to stay and explore the Sunshine Coast which is what we did.

There is nothing I would change about our 6 nights here. The two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with beach view was perfect for two couples and we all had our own space. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality appliances and utensils. We made use of all three pools every day. The live music on Friday night was great while we sat in the spa. Even though it’s not as lively in Caloundra as Mooloolaba etc, it’s a short walk to beautiful beaches (Kings and Moffats) and was relatively quiet each night as it was clearly off season. So happy with our choice and we will definitely be back again next year!

The resort was excellent- awesome views from our ocean view room, great location, friendly staff, fantastic pools, well furnished rooms. However the noise from the bar underneath our unit could be heard until 11 both Friday and Saturday night- not good for a room booked for 2 adults and 2 children. We had a great weekend but didn’t come back rested due to lack of sleep- especially the children. I was disappointed in the response from management after letting them know after checkout- the response was they will let the bar know.

Every convenience is offered at Rumba Beach Resort. Accommodations are generous in size, with a full kitchen for quick meals or elaborate dinners created with readily available local ingredients. The balcony offered relaxing views, and a washer and dryer in our unit made our stay even more comfortable. The staff was very helpful, and the Resort was at the beach yet close to restaurants, shops, and amazing walks. This is the second time we stayed at Rumba Beach Resort, and we would certainly return.

I stayed with family 7 nights in two apartments at Rumba Berach Resort. We found the apartments comfortable and clean and appreciated the daily service from friendly staff. We had everything we needed to make our stay carefree and enjoyable. The close proximity of the apartment to the beach across the road and restaurants down stairs, including the Rumba gelati and the nightly entertainment at the Drift bar / restaurant and local shops and supermarket was an added bonus. We enjoyed the beachfront across the road with view of Bribie island. There are plenty of bench seats along the beachfront board walk, to sit and rest when needed or simply to enjoy the views. I would like to express our gratitude to the Rumba friendly and attentive staff for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I was impressed by the fact that Rumba resort has ramps and lifts, making the resort accessible to people in wheelchairs or simply with knee and hip issues and parents with prams.

We love this resort! This time we returned with our family including three grandchildren under 7. They all fell in love with the resort, especially the pool and the happy hour each weeknight! We all had well appointed, clean and comfortable rooms overlooking the beach and walked every day to Kings Beach for either a swim, coffee or just walk on the beach or boardwalk. We used all the facilities to the max and enjoyed great meals and gelato at the nearby restaurants. The rooms were serviced each day which is not always the case at some accommodation places. We ladies all enjoyed perusing the Sunday market in Bulcock Street up the road. The older lot loved the cocktails and beers during happy hour, especially relaxing in the pool and jacuzzi. Craig and his team are very hospitable and friendly at all times! All in all, a great holiday was enjoyed at Rumba Caloundra once again, see you again soon! The Hand family

We recently stayed 4 nights at this very well run and located Hotel. All the staff were attentive and pleasant to interact with on anything we needed. Our room was absolutely beautiful. The beds were very comfortable with an option of flatter pillows in cupboard instead of king size fluffy ones on the bed. Our apartment was located near to the pool and fun activities of families below so, if you were looking for a quieter room location, then it would be advised to mention when booking. We were out and about most the time so it didn't bother us much...and truly loved our apartment. The spacious balcony & view to the waterways was fantastic. The coffees were wonderful and my sister and I are still reminiscing our Expresso Martini on Saturday evening along with live music. Thank you to the staff at Rumba! We will visit again.

Rumba beach resort has my 5 star rating for an excellent stay! The well appointed rooms are so spacious and have everything you need. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment, compete with large spa bath (within the huge bathroom ensuite). The rooms are complete for comfort with large, soft pillows and a soft comfy bed. The rooms are well concealed with next to no noise for a perfect night sleep.
The resort facilities are fabulous with 3 pools, two of which are heated. The bar on site serves free breakfast muffins, tea and coffee each morning. You can even purchase barista coffee if you'd prefer. Happy hr at 26 degrees onsite bar is from 4-6pm so you can enjoy a cold beverage in the evening.
The location is fabulous with all the restaurants downstairs, the beach across the road and retail shops in the main street.
Highly recommend this resort! Staff are extremely helpful and really lovely. Thank you Rumba for a great stay!

Great beach facing apartment. Well equipped kitchen which included an oven, microwave, cook top, dishwasher and frig. All 3 bedrooms could be converted to a king bed. Daily light service where they topped up supplies and made beds and changed towels. Free muffins and tea/perc coffee in bar area each morning. Jacuzzi was lovely although it could be overtaken by small children/toddlers at times.
