Perfect location so close to the beach and restaurants. Love the swimming pool and spa. The staffs are very friendly and welcoming. Every morning they offer a free muffin and coffee which is nice and happy hour from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. The light on our balcony wasn’t working and it was fixed on the same day after we told them. Totally recommend this accommodation if anyone come to Caloundra .

Every convenience is offered at Rumba Beach Resort. Accommodations are generous in size, with a full kitchen for quick meals or elaborate dinners created with readily available local ingredients. The balcony offered relaxing views, and a washer and dryer in our unit made our stay even more comfortable. The staff was very helpful, and the Resort was at the beach yet close to restaurants, shops, and amazing walks. This is the second time we stayed at Rumba Beach Resort, and we would certainly return.

Fabulous apartment with great views and all the amenities you could ask for. Pool and jacuzzi and a short walk to the beach. The Friday street food market was really good too with a wide range of cuisines available. There are a good number of lovely restaurants and bars nearby (if you don’t fancy cooking), and some lovely shops within a short distance. Staff were really friendly and very helpful.

The Ocean view room had two bedrooms and two full bathrooms and was extremely nice. It had all the amenities we could want and was even made up each day, which was an unexpected treat. Location of the hotel is great with easy access to a range of eateries and bars, directly across the road from the beach and a short walk to market and window shopping precinct. We even walked to the movies! The view was also lovely. Overall a very nice place to stay that I would definitely return to.

Just spent 8 nights at these appartments thy are fabulous, everything you need for comfortable stay is provided. We were blown away .lovely pools 2 are heated,and towels provided, thy have thought of everything. Location is good very central to bars and eating places.beach is literally across the road ,if we ever vist this area again we will definitely return to the rumba.

We stayed in a two bedroom ocean front apartment. It was very clean, spacious, tastefully decorated with stunning views over the water and out to the glasshouse mountains. The beds were SO comfortable with nice linen and lots of pillows. Check in and out was super easy and quick with helpful, kind staff. We requested a pack away cot and an amazing baby bjorn one was waiting in our room for us, with clean, plush bedding included for our baby. Free undercover parking onsite was included, as were fresh muffins in the morning. We had an amazing stay, and the resort was perfectly located above lots of restaurants as well as easy driving distance to all the tourist destinations we were there to see.

We finally had the opportunity to meet a few wonderful hosts in person: Mariana, Ines and Jackson! They were most gracious, efficient, and definitely guest-focused! However (isn’t there always an “however”?) an issue occurred regarding a malfunction television set. This was reported on Sunday. 2 April; the engineer came to our room and confirmed the existence of the problem. He indicated he could not replace the television until Monday. We were not compensated for the missed night with a few round-about-reasons as to why not, e.g., 1) the rooms are individually owned and the owner had to be contacted to authorize the purchase of a new television which could not be done until Monday; 2) had we reported the issue earlier, a replacement television might have been available; 3) it was neither the fault nor the responsibility of the Rumba staff that the television failed; 4) the front desk did not have the authority to offer compensation. These “reasons” are interesting but did not address the root issue, namely we were denied benefit of the full amenities expected for the duration of our stay. Now, to a much larger issue and significantly more important: On Monday morning, 3 April, DESPITE OUR HAVING THE “DO NOT DISTURB” SIGN INDICATED ON OUR DOOR, THE ENGINEER DISREGARDED IT AND KNOCKED LOUDLY SEVERAL TIMES! When I opened the door he indicated he was there to install the new television. When I firmly pointed to the “do not disturb” sign that he did not respect, he repeated that he was there to install the new television. Needless to say, my wife and I were both very upset as we were still in our dressing gowns and were leisurely enjoying a cup of coffee on our balcony. This instance certainly ruined our stay!! The front desk staff did not even apologize for the intrusion. When checking out on Tuesday, 4 April, when I mentioned the violation of one of the most sacred policies of any hotelier (i.e., honour and respect the “Do Not Disturb” sign of the guest, then, and only then, were we told they were sorry but that the engineer was only doing his job☹ As a follow-up, I sent an email to the General Manager and he replied that the "Do Not Disturb" sign was for housekeeping only -- so, beware that if you want an afternoon nap or merely want to be left alone, the "Do Not Disturb" sign will NOT prevent an unwanted intrusion! …

Fantastic to hear Mariana, Ines and Jackson were everything and more you could of asked for upon check-in and during your holiday I will pass this message onto them thank you. As you mentioned you had an issue with your TV in your apartment during your stay, sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused unfortunately technology can fail as this was the case in your room. When our maintenance team attended your room it was recognised as needing a full replacement TV, being a weekend (Sunday) our supplier is not open until Monday. Our understanding was that this was communicated to you and a replacement TV would be ordered and fitted on Monday when it arrives. On Monday our maintenance team attended your room with the plan to replace the TV for you. I understand your do not disturb sign was on your door at this time but as we thought the TV was a priority to be fixed this is the reason why our team knocked for access to your apartment. I apologise for our staff disregarding your do not disturb sign. I am sorry that the whole situation was miscommunicated, I understand that there was confusion regarding this issue. I will be talking with all of our staff regarding this situation so this does not happen in the future. We hope you can one day choose to stay at Rumba Resort again to enjoy our resort and Caloundra. We had a fabulous time at Rumba. Stayed in a beachfront 2 bdrm, beautiful big apartment, with the most amazing view. The beach over the road is so calm and great for swimming and sitting. It is a short walk around the coast if you want the surf beach. The local restaurants and cafes were great, with a gelato store down on the ground floor. Another great cafe that is a 4 min walk away is The Pastry Lab, a lot of yummy cakes. The heated lap pool was lovely. Free parking was great. You get a beach bag and pool towels in your room to to take to the pool. All the staff were friendly and helpful. On Fri night, Saturday and Sat night the beach and street out front gets very busy with pedestrians and cars. Makes for a lot of interesting watching. Even though it was busy and endless cars, our room was very quiet. Couldn't hear any neighbours or door noises. We were very sad to leave, and wish we could live here.…
