Detailed Reviews
Stayed 4 nights booked on Agoda. Had stayed previously 5 years ago.
Pros - good location about 10 minutes walk from Burleigh village and 1 minute walk to the beach. Friendly welcome from the manager Chris who carried my bag up to the 2 ND floor unit 47. Nice pool and well maintained gardens. Good WiFi.
Cons - the actual unit is very dated and apart from the TV everything is from the 1980s and the kitchen is basic. The old stove has rusted hotplates that look unusable and the ancient microwave was difficult to use. Old furniture and no frills.
Apparently each unit in the complex is owned by individuals and so the quality varies considerably. The owner of unit 47 needs to update the facilities.
Tip - the noise from the Gold coast hwy is considerable and suggest that you try to get a unit at the rear with the bedroom facing the sea to get some quiet.

Beautiful big rooms, well equipped, very clean, had a great view of the beach and ocean from the bedroom and a lovely view of the pool and terrace area from our balcony (top floor) staff were pleasant, grounds were very clean and tidy, beautiful pool and spa pool. This was a budget accomodation that definitely didn't feel budget. 10 minute walk into burleigh, right next to a bus stop 30 second hop skip and a jump onto the beach. Only minor gripe is the hot water can be a bit hit a miss especially around 8 or 9am when everyone is using I suppose but that was only once. Free parking in the garage below and free fast wifi also a bonus. Overall a great place to stay in burleigh and 100% would come back

What a good value resort. A hidden gem. On the beach, very comfy bed and generous sized rooms. Close to restaurants ( walking distance--5-10 mins easy walk). Staff were very helpful and polite. We are staying there again next week. Our stays have only been overnight, and each time has been lovely.

Not worth the money. We were given 1 roll of toilet paper for 6 nights, Had to buy our own toilet paper as reception was closed during the busiest time of the year. Room was very dark despite being on the top floor & had an odd smell. No fresh towels we had to wash our own as we were staying a week. TV was broken & apartment was very old & tired. Pool area was nice and great location but would not stay again.

The manager, Chris, is a really good guy and takes care of you. We wanted a quiet light filled apartment on the ground floor, which was promised and available. The pool is heated. Downside was the WIFI, but resolved by connecting phone to my laptop. If you're disabled there is not a lift so ground floor is a must,
Apartment could do with a refresh, otherwise all fine.

Really good set up, feels secure. The unit was simple, but clean, homey and had everything we needed. The managers were really friendly and helpful. Great position, close to the beach and within walking distance to the main part of Burleigh Heads. Would definitely stay there again.

This was so horrific we took photos! Last Easter, the room stunk, had mould everywhere and there was food in the bed! The cot we hired was broken + had feces smeared in it.The toilet roll also had feces on it (yes we were taking photos at this point). The manager was extremely rude and then rolled out the replacement cot which landed on the floor in 5 pieces. He said "well it's free" and I pointed out that we in fact paid a hire fee of $20, but even if it was complimentary, I don't think that would make it okay to provide a cot with feces all over it. I then put the (second broken) replacement cot together for him & made it work even though broken.
We had friends staying in the same complex who came to our room to see all of this for themselves. They were shocked at our room to begin with, before even getting into the disgusting bits. They didn't want us to stay there, but being Easter we had no choice. It was the most disgusting holiday you could imagine.
So we guess it's pot luck in this establishment. Our friends room was fine and ours was a health risk through and through. Don't risk it.

Where do I start? Hmmm... Should have known how tragic this place was when we were struggling to drag suitcases and groceries up two flights of stairs through the pool area to reach our room from the car park. No lifts from car park! Reception in same area.
So, okay, we get to our door, with a delightfully dated koala sticker on it, and go inside. Think of the crappiest 80's motel room, and add a dank moist smell, dust and lack of maintenance and that is our room. Yes, room! Not a unit. Okay, we can survive this kids, it's not so bad. Then came time for bed. One double bed - four humans. HELLO???
Oh, the old sofa converts to a bed. Yaah. Oh my god. Worst sleep ever for my children.World's thinnest mattress and thickest springs. Too small for a 17yr old man, who really doesn't want to sleep with his 12yr old sister anyway. He had to take cushions off the sofa pair and slept on the floor. Minimal blankets, so left air con on all night to stay warm. We'll leave in the morning.
Lets just have brekky before we go. Brought these groceries up here at great personal risk, might as well eat some. What's that? A big piece of green goop on top of the electric jug. No thanks! And guess what, ding, ding, ding! Correct! No dishwasher. You are relying on the last tenants hygiene standards to wash your cutlery, crockery and drinkware. Let's eat at Movie world kids.
I can quite honestly tell you that this is the worst place I have ever, ever stayed. For the prices they charge you can get a great unit on the esplanade that IS a unit with all our expected holiday unit appliances and well maintained and CLEAN.
Worst thing was that this holiday was a gift from my family who tried to buy my family three days of relaxation in good faith.
Shame on you Aussie Resort.

Location - excellent, Value - excellent plus, Heated pools - amazing and so relaxing. Aussie Resort was new to us and we were very pleasantly surprised. We booked our tours through the friendly and helpful staff in Reception and our holiday was a pleasurable and relaxing experience. So close to Burleigh Beach.
We'll be back to Aussie Resort at Burleigh Heads for our next holiday - a great place to look forward to with very good specials offered.

Stayed here for a week Nov2010, had a 1 bedroom apartment overlooking the pool. Was very clean, reception was extremmly helpfull and freindly. Its only 100 metres to the beach, and about the same to the bus stop going in both directions to surfers or south to Burleigh centre, Only a few hundred metres to the best little surf club on the Gold Coast " North Burleigh" If it wasn't for Burleigh Heads and that area I wouldn't even bother going to the Gold Coast (especially Main Beach). Aussie resort would be great for families, the apartments have all the stuff you need to keep you going.
