Unbelievable that a booking that was placed and confirmed via manager email 5 days in advance can be cancelled and customer not notified. As a pet friendly hotel which are very difficult to find at short notice, we were unable to find any accommodation within 4 hrs of Burleigh Heads. This left us sleeping in our cars and extremely tired. This is what you can expect when staying in very average hotels like Burleigh Break. Extremely poor customer focus and obviously inability to manage a simple booking properly. The manager’s BS excuses made it even more difficult to be understanding.

Loved our stay here ... 20 days in total. Decor very retro, the owner Linton is a great host and very helpful. The communal area has use of a kitchen, lounge area, and washing machine. We did not have pets but were very happy with the dogs there even got to dog sit a couple for an hour or two. Location is great a 8-10 minute walk to the centre of Burleigh Heads. Rooms are comfy, very clean, and well priced. Wifi is very strong. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

A short walk to the beach and a stroll along the esplanade to amenities was perfect for the night before our last leg of a very long journey. Our room (9) was on the 2nd floor in almost a cul de sac position without front facing windows and almost claustrophobic and a tight squeeze for 3 adults and 1 little dog. The owner/manager was friendly and helpful and I loved the candles being lit outside all rooms with fairy lights making this a calm and ambient stay. Not a long term holiday room unfortunately.

This place is a retro style dream, yet updated, light, and clean enough to feel fresh and quirky but stylish. A really comfortable stay, great location close to the beach, restaurants, and a nice walk to the National Park and Tallebudgera Creek if you wish. Parking is good. Nice patio. Linton is a gracious host, with great recommendations (Commune for breakfast just across the street!) Would stay again and recommend.

Lovely, quaint little motel, a real throwback to the sixties, seventies classic beach accommodation, we really enjoyed the feel this place has. Super helpful, friendly, nice staff, Linton is a gem who will help you out with your needs. Great location, only four blocks from the hub of Burleigh, no driving anywhere, just enjoy a nice walk along the esplanade. Clean, quiet, affordable, accessible, kitchen facilities, bbq area, excellent coffee over the road. We'll be back!

If you love retro style you will love this beautifully restored little 10 room motel only a short walk from Burleigh Beach. All rooms have en-suites (great water pressure in the shower), really comfortable beds and all the mod cons you need (small fridge / TV / electric kettle etc) plus there is a very well equiped guest lounge with a kitchen and where you can do your laundry. However this description doesn't begin to describe the love and care that has gone into decorating each room and indeed the entire place. We especially appreciated the interesting range of reading matter, the eclectic art works, the pretty tea lights placed outside each room and around the property at dusk - and finally, the thoughtful advice of the manager who recommended the most wonderful place for a celebratory dinner. And it's pet friendly. See what we mean? Perfect :)

This was our 2nd stop whilst visiting the Brisbane area from Los Angeles. My husband was very skeptical about staying in a budget level motel but we ended up extending our stay (his choice!) a second night because we were very comfortable. Yes, there is a busy road nearby and some traffic noise, no view really, but we slept fine (I’m a light sleeper) and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. We sat on the balcony at night and drank wine, and just enjoyed the cute, quirkiness of the place. Everything you need for a short stay was in the room, filtered water, fridge, microwave, coffee, beach towels(the beautiful beach is 2 minute walk away) decent pillows, nice shampoo and body wash. The room was very cute and even had decent television and wifi. The best part was Linton who provided us with great tips on where to eat and special stops to make during our travels- his tips made our visit even more memorable. I don’t have one bad thing to say about this accommodation. The personality of this place and walkability to everything you need was perfect for us- there is even fine dining across the street and an excellent cafe (Commune) Just don’t expect a Westin experience and go with an open mind. Probably our favorite stay during our 12 days of travel.

Stayed for 3 nights with our 2 small dogs. Burleigh Break is VERY pet friendly, a credit to Linton the owner. What a lovely oasis this little motel is, we have only praise for the mood, welcome and personal involvement that Linton provides. Facilities are very clean and well presented. Good location, easy access. A very comfortable and pleasant stay. HIGHLY recommended. David and Anne

Authentic Retro style motel with beautiful comfy bed and generous amenities. We were greated so warmly by Linton that it felt like coming home. It is a noisy location but we felt so relaxed we slept well anyway.

We stayed here overnight following a family gathering in Tamborine mountain. Linton was super-friendly and helpful with our booking via sms. This little place is a gem ! Super clean rooms, super comfy bed. Thoughtful inclusions in our room include books, crockery n cutlery for two, soy milk, full cream milk, lite milk, coffee bags, six diff types tea bags, two lindt ball chocs. Decor is great - two orange vinyl dining chairs just like my Gran had in the 1970s. Original tiles in bathroom. Loved it all. Linton has a range of dvds u can borrow. We microwaved our leftovers for dinner n watched 'Lethal Weapon'. Tops after a long day. I used my earplugs at night for road noise as we live in quiet area.
