We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was well maintained and equipped with everything we needed. Staff we all friendly and helpful. We were even allowed a very late checkout due to early evening departure which was extremely kind of the management - Excellent service!

We had a unit on the 24th floor with amazing views of Burleigh. The apartment was adequate with dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and utensils. A dust pan would be good. The bed was very comfortable and also had a spa bath. The only thing I would suggest, is housekeeping to be a little more observant. We had a handkerchief behind our bedside draws and some rubbish under the beds in the 2nd bedroom. By no means would this stop us returning as location and views are well worth it. It's just over half a kilometre from the eateries and arcade. Phil at reception is very knowledgeable and certainly happy to answer any questions. The pool, indoor and out is terrific too with a steam room and tennis courts. Plenty to do. Will definitely like to book again.

Amazing views, close to beach, close to all need entertainment. Like restaurants, shops, grocery stores. All sizes of accommodation available. Clean well fitted. There is a pool for the building, unfortunately no gym. But who need gym with a great beach. There are two flagged beach swimming areas within easy walking.

These apartments are advertised as newly furnished and have some nice looking modern floor plan apartments advertised. Unfortunately they are not all as advertised. We had 3 nights booked and left after 2 as we were so uninspired being there. The carpet looked like it was laid in the 90’s ripped and torn. My wife asked if we were in an executive apartment when we checked in, and we’re issued a 4th floor room key, and we were assured it was. Then the real disappointment set in when we entered the room which the kitchen and living areas looked as they had not been touched since the 90’s. We then went back to reception who completely dismissed us and said they were full. When leaving there were different staff at reception who took an interest when we left early and advised we could have been moved into a room that looked as advertised from our 2nd night on. I wish we had been graced with that service to start with as this review would be different. But sometimes some people should just not be in customer service, and some rooms should not be let out when they don’t meet the advertised standard.

Absolutely disgusted we booked an Executive 2 bed 2 bath apmnt for 9 nights The apmnt we were given was old rundown and the cleaning was not great. The whole apmnt needed a thorough clean. Inside and out. The curtains were broken off the runners and stained. The sheets on one bed had stains however had been professionally cleaned and the stains obviously could not be removed. Then throw them out. Windows in the second bedroom would not open and hadn’t down for years. Reception said it was a safety issue with kids. Well then how do they deal with the balconies. Lights at the sides of the beds in both rooms did not work so made it impossible to read in bed. There were marks on the walls and the main door handle at some stage had gone through the wall. We immediately went back to reception and asked to be given another room and the reasons why, the Receptionist said they were fully booked and could not move us. I asked her to come and look at the apmnt she declined as it was her lunchtime !! She went to speak to the manager who also declined to speak to us!!! They had taken full payment a month before and we were left with a disgraceful substandard apmnt. Management could not have cared less. No service no discussion. Oh and to top it all off after emailing ahead and asking whether they supplied pool towels and being told Yes just pop to reception and collect them, we found out there was a charge of $5 per towel !!!! Would have thought they would have made a goodwill gesture. So if you’ve worked hard to pay for your holiday don’t waste it by booking at 2nd Ave apartments Burleigh Heads Gold Coast.

I stayed with my friend in a 2 bed executive apartment. These apartments are privately owned so when you see a picture of a room it may not be the room you get. On the positives - location superb. Right across the road is the beach and our apartment looked right out to the beach. Room size was good. The second bedroom had twin beds. A lovely big lounge. Negatives - furniture bed tables in main bedroom are old. The worst thing was the soap in the bathroom dispenser. It was bright pink and stained the facecloth. So I wouldn’t be tempted to try and hand wash something with it. There is a washer and dryer in the apartment. The aircon units are rusty. Aircon worked. The aircon units sit outside where you see them. I dont expect to see that when this apartment was called executive units. The bedside lamp needed securing to the wall. Good stay here and friendly service. Just get a bit of maintenance done and it will be nicer.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, We are glad to hear that you loved the location and apartment room size. Unfortunately we will be unable to rectify these issues that you have mentioned as you have not given us a room number. Clothes washing powder is supplied in your welcome pack, the soap in the dispenser is not intended to be used for clothing. All air conditioners are gradually being upgraded, and being a high rise building near the sea there is no where else but the balcony to locate these units. This is not a four star hotel. Been here before but this will be our last visit. They are very old and tired units (carpet had long rips through it) and ours was infested with cockroaches. Yes most of the units have great views but the rooms they are unclean, very tired and overpriced.

There is no way this place passes for 4 star accomodation. We found the ‘executive’ 2 bedroom apartment to be filthy. Management were good about it and gave us another room, however it was 20 floors lower and not executive either. The carpets were sticky and beds uncomfortable. And whilst it was ‘clean’ it certainly was not clean to a high standard. The indoor pool and spa were very nice. There was also a smart tv and ps3, however, even with an Ethernet cable neither would connect to the wifi.

Stayed in a sub penthouse. It had been renovated so paid a premium. Views were outstanding. There were a number of maintenance issues which were raised with the front desk. A blind was missing so the TV always had a significant glare making it almost impossible to watch, locks on the doors didn’t work, missing dials so you couldn’t change fan speeds, air conditioner leaked on the floor and master bedroom shower would not drain properly. Maintenance never came despite raising this with the front desk on 3 occasions. So much potential but the management are letting the place down. Have booked elsewhere for 2022. I do hope they sort themselves out but in the meantime Buyer Beware.

The apartment assigned to us was old and outdated. Carpets and curtains were ripped and full of holes, cockroaches were all over the apartment, including on the beds. Blankets were filthy and maintenance was desperately needed throughout the unit. The wifi also didn't work. Staff were also indifferent to the issues when brought to their attention. This is definitely not a 4-star property.
