Good location close to beautiful beaches. Quiet in rooms when balcony doors closed - traffic noise from highway not noticeable. Laundry in very small cupboard - if using couldn’t open door to apartment! Had to leave ironing board and washing basket on floor to be able to use laundry. Ironing board I’m sure came from $2 shop, absolutely useless. Kitchen well equipped apart from only 1 tea towel, not even a dish cloth/sponge. Very comfortable bed but trying to fit a KS in such a pokey bedroom not ideal. Bathroom very small and poorly designed. Water all over floor from shower, stupid shelf and tap in shower poorly positioned. Pool area was lovely and gym well equipped. Wouldn’t stay again, plenty of other options.

Sorry to hear you had such a disappointing experience staying with us. Unfortunately we didn't see you at reception, otherwise we could have supplied you with more kitchen supplies and housekeeping could have replaced or fixed the Ironing board for you. Most guest enjoy a King bed, rather than having a smaller bed. Unfortunately we are unable to please everyone! You will find that the older style Apartments are more generous in size and likely suit you better. As we are only 3 years old, these Apartments are designed a bit smaller in size.

As a family of 5 we stayed here for 3 nights upon recommendation from another family. Easily accessed from the airport and surrounded by lots of good dining options and literally across the road from the beach.

The main bedroom was spacious however the second room really wasn’t suitable for a rollaway bed so kids lacked space. Kitchen was well equipped and TV with Foxtel & Netflix appreciated. Common areas/ lift access is currently being refurbed but unsure apartments no issues. Pool & gym area nice and gardens and facilities well maintained. The biggest issue is the road noise. We were on level 4 and it was actually disturbing at night.

Yes, our address is Gold coast highway... The Apartments are only 3 years old and well insulated, if you keep the windows and balcony doors closed at night, you should be able to sleep like daisy. Thank you for your kind words.

- Lack of furniture in lounge , very small uncomfy couch
- Very tight with toiletries , we ran out of toilet paper - no tissues provided , no sheet on doona asked for one and not given one - only 2 towels for a 4 night stay (you are expected to wash and dry these yourself)
- fan in bedroom didn’t work on lowest setting
- funny smell throughout
- Car park so narrow and hard to get out
I wouldn’t choose to stay here again ☹️

Stayed as a family of 9 across 2 apartments, one 2 bedroom and a 3 bedroom.

The two bedroom rm 71 was not well appointed as only had one small sofa in living area, so family could not sit together.

There is a highway at the back of the property and even with double glazing the road noise is horrendous, definitely not a relaxing beach location as described online.

Beds were comfortable though what is going on with the horrendous smelly polarfleece blankets and a sheet(clean) on every bed. Suggest you bring your own bedding as certainly not luxury.

There is no daily cleaning service at all. On top of this visitors are expected to clean before leaving, this is probably why the apartment is so grubby, dirty inside glass, bathrooms, yellow stained toilet seat, dishes not washed properly in the cupboards.

You are required to pay for pool towels.

Had also needed to pay an extra fob bond of $50 to get access between the two rooms we booked.

All these concerns were raised with reception and whilst service was good and friendly no resolution was offered or remedies made apart from the promise to send the housekeeper up but they never arrived.

She explained that all rooms are owned privately hence the lack of furniture in lounge. The problem is we didn’t book with the owner we booked with Boardwalk Burleigh so they need to take some responsibilities for the state of what they are selling.

Location is ok if wanting the beach.

With so many great options for accomodation, I would not stay here again.

My daughter is currently stuck in Brisbane due to the Cyclone. She was supposed to move to the Gold Coast on Saturday to stay in the Boardwalk however everything is on emergency shutdown and is currently hunkered down in her Brisbane hotel waiting for the Cyclone to hit! She’s had to extend her Brisbane accommodation due to this forced situation.

We contacted the hotel and booking.com and they will only allow a cancellation with no refund or change the dates! She’s travelling solo around Australia for a few weeks and is unable to change her dates. She was fully planning to go to the Gold Coast but did not expect a Cyclone to stop her plans!

I urge all travellers to think twice before booking this accommodation as this requires to be paid in advance - my daughter has now lost over £500 At no fault of her own! They have shown no empathy to the emergency situation this area finds themselves in!

We stayed for 10 days in a 2 bedroom apartment in this perfectly placed apartment building. Its a reasonably new building and we usually stay at Broadbeach so new for us! The apartment was well equip but we would have liked a few more plates as you have to wash them after each meal by hand, not enough to start the dishwasher. The position is perfect if you like to wander into the main strip and eat out (we do) and there are many lovely restaurants about a 5 minute walk away. The girls on the desk were so incredibly helpful, wasn't a thing they wouldn't do for you.
The apartment is very spacious and as we were travelling with our daughter and one grandchild there was plenty of room for toys and gear you need when you travel with littlies. The pool area is lovely but a little on the small side in school holidays as it fills up quite easily when there are a few families in residence.
on the whole we had a very positive experience and loved most things about the place, would definitely stay here again!

Not good customer service. Requested 1 bedroom ocean view. Got a construction site, scaffolding and the Gold Coast Highway.

6pm check in and could only contact reception which could only take a message as it was after hours.
The next day reception cannot assist as they were supposedly booked.

We arranged alternate accommodation for the last 2 nights of our 4 night stay. Reception staff said “The manager is happy to arrange a refund for your two nights”: 3 days later I contact Boardwalk by email and received a reply from “reservations” stating it will be arranged but they wanted to know my issue”.

I again, told them my issue only to receive an email with no name attached only “reservations”. The replies were in my opinion abrupt, and not accepting criticism of their property.

Tiny rooms and bathrooms compared to other new properties, car park exit caters for a small car or bike due to its layout. Spa cold and foyer smelt like baby powder.

Oh, and it’s day 5 and still no refund. I didn’t bother mentioning the dust on skirting boards and sliding doors and mould on bedroom air con louvres which I cleaned myself.
Consider Kirra or Coolangatta, comparable properties with genuine ocean view and better size rooms for same money. Only 15 min drive south on highway with lovely beach.

Would not recommend or stay at Boardwalk.

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment, it was decked out with new modern and comfy furniture. I think the apartments are all different, we stayed on the 12 level apt 76. Even though it was the road side we still had great views of the beach and the hinterland.
Fantastic location walking distance to restaurants and shops and right across the road from the beach. Great gym facilities, pool and Bbq area.

We stayed 8 nights, we arrived to dirty toilets and dirty dishes.

We had our room turned over/cleaned (included with our stay) and our little sons brolly sheet was not on the bed when we came back from the beach. Management made no effort to retrieve or compensate us for it.

Arrived a little early (one hour) no reception, had to utilise intercom to answering service which informed me that she couldn’t allow entry into the foyer for an hour so had to wait outside until the allocated time. Unit was cheap feeling carpets, kitchen, paint etc. . Lost of signs informing you of what not to do, the place gives feeling that you are inconveniencing the owner. The washing machine was very loud, ask for someone to look at it - no one turned up. Reported again and they had no record of organising maintenance. Very overpriced won’t be coming back.

Thank you for your feedback, we will relay this to the owner. We are only a small holiday resort and have limited reception hours over the weekend. With regards to our after hours team, we are sorry they did not let you into the foyer which is common courtesy, we have updated them regarding the inconvenience. We informed Damien as soon as we were notified that the washing machine was not going to be repaired but replaced. And that he could ring to reception and have housekeeping pick up and wash your garments in the meantime. The signs are in place and requested by Body Corporate to contribute to the harmony between the 70% owner occupiers and the holiday guest. Many of the sign are common courtesy (i.e. do not throw glass through the rubbish Shute )
