Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Straight up, amazing location. We were in room 49 on 13th floor. View is amazing beach facing. The apartment is quite spacious which is exactly what we wanted. We knew it would be a little tired from other reviews, but found it great as you see from our photos. If it was renovated, it would be double the price, so found it perfect for our needs. Had all we needed in the kitchen to cook, kind of air bnb like, great air conditioning in lounge, and both bed rooms. They arranged a late check in, and this was easy. Not the most helpful and attentive staff, and would recommend buying dishwashing, washing detergent and general supplies (coffee milk etc) if you are there as were were for 5 days. Aldi and other shopping options within a 1km or so.. it’s amazing if you are shopping and prepared like st home.
Foxtel in lounge room, and tv In master.
We found the pool and spa clean for its age, and again can’t complain.
Permanent residents were lovely to us.
The location and views facing the beach made us overlook any other insignificant issues.
If it’s new and shiny you want, this isn’t the place, but perfect for a family and we will definitely return.

Unfortunately we stayed here when a water pipe burst knocking out six floors of the building. We understand problems happen but ultimately it’s the way management handle these issues that impact guests comfort and security.
We were asked to depart the building for most of the day whilst they cleaned up, but failed to keep us informed, left us to our own devices to climb 10 flights of stairs, in the dark (lifts unvailable and power was out till 10 pm), and at about 4 pm did state we could move next door, but no refund would be available until their ‘insurance was settled’. As that was our final night it was a pointless exercise to move (we are in our 70’s so climbing with luggage is difficult.
Body corporate and owners corporation issues are completely separate to guests holiday letting account, and we feel after writing two emails and phoning twice that we are being fobbed off. Very disappointed at managements unprofessionalism.
There are now new apartments either side of this block, next time we will choose these.

Second stay at Pacific Regis and loved my view from the top floor facing South East. Spent a lot of time on the balcony soaking up the atmosphere of beachside living on the Gold Coast.
Thank you to the staff for always being there when needed over the last 12 months and especially Amber during this visit.
Location of apartment I stayed in for 2 weeks was excellent however in need of maintenance Ie. painting throughout and the front door. Furniture upgrade as most of it looked like it came from a second hand store. As did the bedside lamps. One did not even have a globe. Double bed was uncomfortable and ensuite contained a lot of mould. Arrived Monday … mould removed by cleaning service on Friday!
On saying this … I would stay again in the same apartment (#55) if maintenance and repairs were carried out as a matter of priority!

The location was convenient to shops and restaurants and opposite the beach.
However, the apartment was dated and in need of some repair. Cottage cheese bedroom ceiling. A sheet covering the bed and a synthetic bed cover was not inviting. Purple tinted lighting in the bathroom. A strange wall mounted bed in the second bedroom. Lounge suite was worn and recliners require a high level of strength and agility to manage. Had to reprogram the TV for channels. Foxtel did not work. TV cabinet was falling apart. Wifi did not work. Verandah was dirty. Bin and surrounds in kitchen were dirty. Free packet of open old pistachios in the cupboard…
Handy hint - make sure you bring your own pool towel or pay $5 to hire one for your stay.

Had booked for 6 nights when on the 2nd night the Covid 19 lockdown was announced, severely impacting my business which is totally dependent on the hospitality industry, now closed by the government.
Explained to management we would have to race home to deal with the situation and our staff and asked if we could get a credit for the 3 unused nights of our booking to use as part of an extended stay in the future.
NO. You have booked in and you have CHOSEN to leave so we have RULES that there will be no credit or refund.
Great attitude and wonderful empathy.
Thanks for nothing.
Just the people you want on your side in a crisis. No thanks.

We booked to stay at Pacific Regis (group of 4 families, 3 families through Booking.com and one through Expedia).

We were called by a lady called Amanda from the hotel reception (individually) and told that if we booked through them directly we would get a better rate and that the money would stay in Australia as opposed to going overseas.
We were told to cancel the booking with Booking.com and to call the hotel back and book with them directly.
We didn’t know that funds were going overseas through Booking.com so that made us think it’s the right thing to do. Especially in the Covid climate.

The day we arrived into Coolangatta we were told that Brisbane went into lockdown and that victorians should return home.
So being that we are traumatised by being in lockdown in Melbourne for most of 2020; we told the hotel office manager Tamara that we would be returning back to Melbourne. We didn’t want to get locked our of Victoria or even worse having to go into hotel quarantine upon our return.
She said to put it all in writing.
Even though we stayed only one night she said because 2 days were lost we would need to pay for 2 days.
We agreed but requested that they return the balance of further 4 nights back to our account.
We flew out the next day and after chasing the hotel for a response to my email were told that they weren’t going to refund us because borders weren’t closed and we chose to leave.
We even asked for a credit and they objected also. We have lost almost $2000.
This hotel is as doggy as they come and we would highly recommend you don’t use them. do not book with them.

We will be taking this matter for her also.

Perfectly located for beach holiday or short-stay city escape. Across road from beach and short stroll to restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. Our beach-facing room had no road noise and we rarely needed to take our car out of the garage. Very spacious rooms with excellent facilities. Kitchen well equipped if you're planning to dine in. Would highly recommend to couples or families.

This place is in an excellent location, being so close to the shops, cafe's and beach.
Some rooms have been renovated but the hall ways, plumbing, grounds and building are disappointing.
Nice pools but the steps could definitely be cleaner - pretty slimy.
Rooms at the front middle do have great views if above floor 10.
Side rooms and lower ones would be noisy if you have the doors open. All are air conditioned and free wifi avail ☺️.
Prices of the rooms are pretty average but not worth it because of the poor maintenance.
Huge money needs to be spent on this place to bring it up to standard.

We love staying at the Pacific Regis. We discovered the Deluxe Room on level 10 that has recently be renovated and redecorated to reflect a vibe of city apartment meets the beach- modern city chic with tasteful references to beach life. The view is amazing, so restful and yet full vibrancy of the GC. We have stayed here on several occasions but the last trip having full eight nights was so relaxing at the end of the summer break. And from now on we have decided that this apartment is now our beach home away from home.

There is a Property Manager there named Rick, And he cares less about anything you tell him. He will choose to be nice to those he wishes to be nice to and If you Yell at him and Put him in his place to remind him that you have paid for the accommodation, he might actually do something, in our dreams!

We had a safety issue at our apartment with the Microwave placed dangerously on a shelf that could cause it to fall on anyone and hurt them. When I told him about it, he cared less and never bothered to fix it.
