Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Outrigger is in a pretty good location, 50 metres from the beach, supermarkets, surf club and bottle shops within staggering distance. We had a room on the back of the property which was pretty quiet, would be noisy on the front side though. Property is approaching the time it needs a refit but still very comfortable and clean.

Had a function at the North Burleigh Surf Club. Stayed here for one night out of convenience.
I was pleasantly impressed. The bed was a little too soft for me, but hubby loved it. We used a light blanket from the cupboard and ran the aircon fan for white noise. We had a private balcony with a partial view of the ocean. The evening on the balcony was cool but pleasant. The morning cup of tea out there was terrific (take sunnies).
There’s a bar fridge which can house your pre purchased drinks or some milk for your tea (highly suggested). The bathroom was newly renovated and really nice. No face washers so we used a hand towel. The body wash and shampoo were aplenty.
Loads of parking underneath and it’s secured to get in and out (toggle attached to room key).
I would stay here again just to suss our the southern end.

Misleading advertising regarding location, wi fi didn't work , noisy, work bring done on neighbouring property starting at 7am finishing at 5pm right outside balcony that we weren't made aware of , vacated a day early due to noise . John Very aggressive when asked for refund. Agreed finally to refund if booking .com sent an email. booking .com sent email. Three days later received email John would not give us refund .... absolutely terrible experience . Place is full of full time renters , surrounding exterior of property is dirty, car park leaks . DO NOT STAY HERE

Room was really unclean, splatter marks on inside of bathroom door, had to wipe down light switch in bathroom as it was grimey - painting had fallen off wall and been stashed in wardrobe, leaving double sided tape on wall…..

Couldn’t lock room door from inside, and no do not disturb sign. Had to play music so whilst showering so housekeeping didn’t come in - even then the nearly kicked down the door knocking so hard, so had to jump out of the shower just to tell them I didn’t need a towel.

Staff ignored you as you walked past reception, kept getting texts to say I needed to pay, then to disregard

All in all I don’t mind cheap accommodation - if clean and basic, this was neither!

Good location, friendly staff. A fridge and microwave are provided, but you are given nothing to eat with which doesnt make sense. No cutlery. Advertised cable T.V, but there wasnt any, which was disappointing as it was a major factor between choosing this hotel, and a cheaper one up the road. Notice a lot of hotels skimping out on the cable TV since the COVID, this particular room didnt even have the cable box attached, just straight free to air TV.
Shouldnt advertise it, if youre not gonna provide it. Same with the Wifi.
Overall a pleasant stay,

Friendly management nice clean updated rooms. Close to bus stop and has an excellent Chinese Malaysian restaurant next door. Prices are reasonable and the location is only 5 mins walk to the beach. Highly recommend for a short stay

Booked for four nights left after one! Awful - how can businesses charge so much for so little. One tiny piece of soap; no face cloths; noisy; room very small with negligible furnishings. Balcony not clean. What else can I say. Asked for a refund (would have settled for any amount) refused. Will never visit Burleigh Heads again.

Good location, best thing is 24 hour check-in!! Instead of other places where you book in $160/nightly X 2 & $200 deposit $150/1 night stay without that!! There's the positive. Negative? Bed uncomfortable which being a big issue for me with a bad back. Harder to get a good night's sleep a very important factor of staying in an accommodation outlet. The bathroom with a shower & bath without safety rails was another issue -but for a short stay as it was when the vacancy came about it was alright for 1 night?

Stayed for a weekend on level 2 facing the Gold Coast Highway, could hear the noise but not unbearable (take some ear plugs if you are not sure). Great to walk everywhere, North Burleigh Surf Club, Miami pub, Coles, Aldi, Dan Murphys etc. Room was a little tired, but the bathroom looked newly renovated. Fridge had plenty of room and appreciated that there was a microwave in the room. Bed not too comfortable
