Initial impressions were good with a lovely lady on Reception and the 1-bedroom suite a nice size. Sadly it went down hill after that with curtains falling of their rack and not big enough to cover the front street windows. Then all facilities were closed and no breakfast supplied due to Covid (it seems to me they could have provided a pre- placed/packed continental breakfast in the room with at least Cereals available. Worse no Toaster was available in the room or on request despite a small kitchen being provided. The rooms likewise were not serviced, again due to Covid.
It would seem that Covid is being used as an excuse to cut back on service, costs and effort.
We are very familiar with the Motel having lived in the area and stayed several times and while it has stood up fairly well over the years it was disappointing this time.

Dated décor; fabrics and fittings, artwork faded
Dripping showerhead; all night
Microwave too high; my husband and I are very tall and I had to reach up to put things in and out
Fly screen to balcony; inadequate lock
Short curtains in bedroom; old fashioned and let light in. There should be sheer curtains also. There was no privacy when curtains were open and vertical drapes open
Ill fitting curtains in living room; too short and narrow
Warm and cool light bulbs used in the spaces; inconsistent
Bath/spa did not look clean; most likely stained
grout around the spa looked dodgy
Entry door difficult to open and noisy to close
Lounge felt dirty to sit on
Bats (flying foxes) in palm trees outside were noisy
TV in living room was crooked; we weren't able to straighten it
TV in bedroom was too high!
Rooms checked for need after 1.30pm; this should be done earlier
Pillows too high
Sheets plus donna was too heavy
Toilet seat was old and flimsy
Cheap single thickness toilet paper; this is a false economy
Light in bathroom took too long to turn on; at least 5 seconds, this is not safe
Light in fridge not working
This motel needs a lot of work done to it to bring it into the 21st Century!!

Good motel.

Pros:
Upon deciding that my mum will be coming with me, i called reception and informed them if they're able to upgrade me from a single bed room to 2 bed rooms. There was no charge.

Ground level rooms are VERY accessible and safe with parking inside of the motel is available and spare parking lot right behind the motel.

Beds are comfy. Room warm, didn't even need the AC.

Location great. Close to multiple shops, restaurants and major centers as well as a short walk to the local harbour.

They offer after hours self check in which is great. Room are very secure.

Bathroom clean and new.

Kettle and toaster was provided. As well as a microwave and a mini fridge. Mugs and plates are provided. But bring your own like we did just for extra cleanliness.

Staff very friendly.

Cons:

Room was small, with limited in-room facilities. No sink outside of the bathroom's one which is very gross to clean your dishes. Room might need some improvements to modernize it.

We booked a budget room back in November and the next day I immediately upgraded when I realised. When we checked in last weekend, lady at reception she could see what happened but could not do anything as the place was full y booked and the person who did the booking was no longer there. Bad customer service, would not recommend or go back.

I there in the middle of winter and they tried to charge me $10 for any heating. Did want to pay so slept in a cold room and left the next day. Room smelt as well I’m afraid. It was cheap though. The guy at the Thai restaurant tried to charge me $4.50 for boiled rice so maybe times just tough in Ulladulla idk

I booked this Motel through Qantas and it showed on the booking free Wi-Fi, free Breakfast and free Parking.
When we enquired about Breakfast we
were told by the receptionist because of Covid that there was No Breakfast. I showed her my booking which stated Free Breakfast and wanted some sort of compensation. She rang the Manager who said basically said Too Bad.
If there was no Breakfast then it should have been removed from the Bookings website. It even shows on their brochure located in the office and they have over 15 months to amend it.
They also want $150 security deposit for damages. We made sure we took photographs of the room so we can get this security deposit back.
By the time we got to our room it was 1 hour.
When we tried the Wi-Fi it did not work in the room. The Receptionist moved us to another room. The Wi-Fi in the second room still did not work properly.
I will never recommend this Motel to anybody.
If you want to book contact the Motel direct and see what you get in writing.
The location was good and the room very comfortable.

Stayed 2 nights early October. Room is a nice size as is bathroom. Bed was comfortable while the TV is small though had good reception. Wifi as advertised does not work - disappointing. In a modern world reliant on connectivity this doesn’t cut it for us! We had a room with a door to adjoining room with noise coming through loudly, a real issue especially since we had very young children placed in the adjoining rooms next to us both nights we stayed.

VERY outdated and unclean Motel- mould in shower area, hairs on shower curtain, bathroom window sill and on sheets! Spiders and cobwebs in room also. Dirty blue tac stuck to the back of the door, rust on bathroom door hinges, fraying around curtain cords. Fittings and fixtures poorly done. Everything looks tacky in the room.
Very disappointing considering we were recommended to stay here.

Booked a family room for a overnight stay as our children has a Basketball gala day in nearby Milton.
We arrived late in the afternoon and were shown to our room. The staff at reception were helpful and happy to recommend places to eat dinner nearby.
The room was large, we had a separate room from the kids, it was clean and tidy, and the bed was super comfortable and we had a small balcony that looked down towards the boat harbour.
We really only spent the night there and had to leave early the next morning, but for our needs the place was great and we will stay here next time we have a gala day to attend in the area.

During our current crisis with Covid my elderly parents had to cancel coming to NSW from Victoria due to restrictions. As if it’s not bad enough that we haven’t seen our family for a year due to Covid, we now don’t get to see them again at Christmas and the proprietors of this motel are going to charge them full price for the room. Disgusting and unethical.
