On arrival we were welcomed by a friendly gentleman (sorry I didn’t get his name) and were told all 4 of our rooms were ready at 1pm.
It was super hot so we went straight to the pool. The great part about the pool is that it is covered by a shade which helped with keeping the kids out of the sun.
Breakfast was a hit! We found it very cheap for our group. It was $20 per adult for buffet breakfast and kids aged 15 & under were free.
We didn’t have enough time to try the other restaurant at LCC but next time we will.
I would definitely recommend this place.
All staff we spoke to were friendly, helpful and always had a smile. 5 stars!
The food is sensational in the Atrium restaurant and even better as an Accor Plus member. You must try the pork knuckle.
The rooms are modern and fresh with a good supply of USB ports and I like how you can plug in your laptop to an HDMI port and see it on the TV.
Location
The hotel is in Sydney suburb Liverpool. Not much public transport and quite far to the Sydney city (30km). However it is connected with a freeway between the airport and the hotel so without the traffic, can reach the airport around 30 min by car.
The hotel is next to Liverpool Catholic Club. The club has an excellent indoor playground., a few eateries, gaming machines, ice skate rink, mini golf, gym.
The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, conference centre, a restaurant serves buffet breakfast, lunch (some days) and dinner.
Room is very clean. The rooms in newly built tower (10 levels) are modern. Curtains and lights can be controlled remotely via control on the wall.
The restaurant looks more like a canteen can be busy during breakfast time and serves ordinary hot breakfast. Don't expect there is a chef cooking you the eggs though. Good thing about the restaurant is it closes at 11am for breakfast.
Ironically, check out time is 10am and the hotel will find out the hard way when your key card will no longer work after 10.01am
Free WiFi for Accor members.
There are plenty of free car parking hut all are outdoor.
Pool is good size but unattended. You will need to get your towel from the reception.
Staff is friendly but can certainly do better. Not much recognition from loyal guests though
Overall, a good 4 star hotel in Western side of Sydney
The staff were helpful, the room was very good, wifi worked well, room service is available, the room was generally quiet but there is some background traffic noise from the busy roads around.
I found the catholic club to be a very disappointing dining venue so finding something decent to eat nearby is a bit of a challenge. So I would say location is the biggest let down.
We might try it again but drive into Liverpool for dinner.
On the plus side this hotel is well located and you can easily access the M7 and M5 motoways. The is a good size pool with long opening hours. There is plenty of free parking both outside and under cover at the Catholic Club. The hotel adjoins the Club and I had no problem being issued with an "Extended Visitors Pass" that covered the days of my stay. The room was serviced daily and there was an abundance of white fluffy towels. However, it was showing the early signs of deterioration with a little rust in the corner of the shower and the carpet edge beginning to fray. Renovations were underway near the pool and if you are planning to stay it might be worthwhile enquiring about room renovations. I felt the room was lacking some of the niceties that I have come to expect in a suite - there was no water, gown, or shower cap. I have not stayed in Liverpool before and I also noticed there was no artwork, magazines or coasters.
I would definitely consider staying here again, however, if I chose a Suite I would bring all my kitchen supplies with me, not including the sink.
• the lack of cleanliness was beyond disgusting. The room looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. Dust everywhere. Very dirty. The floors had debris. Even the glasses had stains on them. Really putrid.
• We had to call the front desk to fix our drain which wouldn't go down, the shower was also playing up too.
• Don’t bother calling front desk. They never pick up. Ever. You need to physically go downstairs to get help.
• The buffet. Need a fork? Good luck with that... I felt like we were asking for a kidney. When asking the staff for the pancake maker to be plugged in, she really felt like we were asking for her organs.... Also the food was really average and not varied.
• The wi fi was slow and played up constantly particularly on an android phone.
• Again the dirtiness was a real turn off. Even the elevators are filthy.
I would avoid this place unless they pick up their game.
"Check if events are on at the attached venue first as parking is definitely an issue then. Don't get a room near the lifts."Read full review
