Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After last year's floods, we didn't know what to expect, but we're pleased to see that most of Lismore has bounced back well. Especially this motel, the lady that booked us in was lovely and showed us a plaque on the wall where the floods got up to. So, considering two floors were underwater, this motel was exceptionally well presented. I suppose the floods did have a bright side. Everything was brand new and very tastefully decorated, so anytime you need to stay in Lismore, I recommend it here because the main street is just metres away. Pubs and eating areas are just a short walk away, and the coffee shop out the front is exceptional.

Check in was a breeze the hosts were extremely friendly room very clean which is number one priority for me. Centrally located so easy walk to pubs, cafes etc for a bite to eat. Security was great once your parked the only way out is through the large remote controlled roller door. Room was comfortable and decent size would stay again.

AZA Motel has recovered from the 2017 flood which inundated the lower units. Reception staff courteous and friendly. The unit was clean and bed comfortable. The en-suite compact with shower recess very good as water does not wet the bathroom floor - perfect for later use. Guests can feel safe as there is a security roller door barring access from the street at night. My dowstairs unit was quiet but did not have a phone link with reception or a clock. The only negative, for an old, weekend guest without transport, was lack of any food service. The kitchenette, with tiny microwave, was only adequate for re-heating meals.

We have been travelling for a week now and this is by far the best room we've had. Quiet, comfortable, very clean modern fit out and recently renovated. You couldn't get a better location in town yet peaceful and nice outlook across the wooded park. Lot's of bird calls. Nice pool. Everything making for a pleasant stay. We will definitely stay again next time in town. Great value too. We've paid a lot more at other places and gotten a lot less.

Great location, right in the middle of town. Clean, tidy rooms and great pool. Secure at night via electric roller door. Was great to walk out the door to grab a meal within minutes. Great selection of restaurants close by.

Lovely, tidy motel right in the heart of Lismore. Close to everything you need, including supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, etc. We were greeted by the friendly owners and made to feel welcome. While the building is dated, the beds and amenities are excellent. For someone who normally struggles to sleep when travelling, I slept soundly every night. We had a room at the rear and there was noise from outside, which was nice. Highly recommended and will be my motel of choice whenever I'm in Lismore.

Other than the location and the friendly management, I don't really have much else to say, that is good about the place. It perhaps could have been my room. the room had a weird smell when i got in. Mostly from the bathroom. Just didn't feel clean. The white seal around the sink had mold/black. Also the decor is an old and pink in colour. The desk, kitchenette cabinets, side tables and closet are all an off pink. So it just makes the place tired and uninviting. Certainly not worth $140. The place seems to be busy with mostly tradies, who come and go at all hours.

Centrally located, secure premises, clean and comfortable, the AZA Motel made our stay enjoyable. Old fashioned and friendly service topped it off. The historic buildings and the paved walkway along the river revealed a well cared for rose garden and lots of bird life. It’s the place to stay in Lismore.
