As usual your first contact at a country motel, is the reception desk. The staff at the Bounty are wonderful, friendly, helpful, and genuinely happy.

The room is large and well appointed, fast Wi-Fi is free, the shower is hot and strong, and the location is central to everything.

My only criticism is all the weird noises in the middle of the night. (Plumbing? I don't know) but I am a light sleeper, and these bothered me.

Again, the staff are wonderful

Stayed 3 nights for work. Have stayed in many Lismore hotels over recent years and this is the standout.

Large comfortable room. Excellent aircon on hot summer nights, large tv that works, excellent wifi, great location next door to the recently reopened club.

Excellent cleaning standard - well done cleaning ladies. Was spotless and all towels and consumables refreshed. Fridge, microwave, communal kitchen if you need it, excellent!

Only criticism is the curtains don’t block out the very bright external hall lights, so bring an eye shade. Recommend blackout curtains get installed.

That aside was very good!

Horrible uncomfortable rock hard bed, musty smelling rooms, some lights above the bed not working, and the shower head doesn’t stay up and it leaks.
The TV is dated, there was no Netflix or any other kind of streaming service available.
The rooms are outdated, the fridge in the room is very loud, and during my incredibly restless night some weird lights above the bed (perhaps smoke detectors) decided to come on. Dinner was average.
The sound of the water gushing through the pipes as someone used the bathroom in another room was not at all comforting.
I understand this is a regional motel and not the Ritz Carlton, but it needs an overhaul. I’ve stayed at far nicer motels in other regional areas.

Staff at check in and restaurant were friendly and very welcoming.

I booked this motel through Qantas Hotel as a king suite with a large deluxe corner spa. Be aware, the king suite advertised on Qantas Holiday website never had a spa bath, I was told by the motel manager. The room’s wifi was not working at all, and it was not fixed during my three nights stay. Despite of setting the aircon for 29 degrees, it did not blow any warm air during my stay, which was not again fixed. On the second day, the room was not cleaned at all. It was not a pleasant stay. I do not recommend this motel for these reason.

Room Tip: Plenty of parking, but it is located at the corner of a large roundabout. Room 100 was very noisy.

Very friendly and efficient staff and management. Obviously very experienced and professional. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. I booked this motel because it had a Tesla destination charger which could accommodate our non Tesla vehicle. I was pleasantly surprised by the overall standard of the motel.

I arrived around 2:30 pm to an empty reception. I used the phone on reception to advise of my arrival and still had to wait nearly 5 minutes before anyone showed up. Finally, I got to my room. It seemed decent at first glance—fairly spacious and clean. But I noticed small things were missing: no biscuits to have with coffee, and no complimentary water in the fridge - something numerous other places tend to provide as standard.

Then came the air conditioner—buzzing so loudly that it was impossible to leave it on. When I finally got to bed, I found it was rock-hard. To make matters worse, there was a smoke detector directly above me with an obnoxiously flashing green light. Across the room, under the desk, the Wi-Fi power supply had two red lights so bright that I ended up unplugging it just to get some darkness.

In the early hours, I woke up to a long hair in my mouth—definitely not mine. Disgusted, I got up and quickly checked the bed, which appeared clean, so I tried to go back to sleep. That didn’t happen, because I was cold, no extra blankets were available in the room. I had no choice but to turn on the noisy air conditioner again.

A while later, I felt something tangled in my fingers. I turned on the light, and there it was—another long hair. I pulled back the covers only to find even more hair at the foot of the bed. That was it; I was done.

Later in the day I went to find a staff member to discuss the issue, the reception was yet again unmanned. Instead of using that ridiculous phone again, I simply left my key and walked out, forfeiting the second night I had booked.

I've selected the rating as 'terrible' due to poor staff availability, and the uncleanliness of the bed this alone will prevent me ever going back.

Stayed a couple of nights over 3 days and had no wifi internet access which I needed for work whilst travelling. Brought it to the management attention on the first morning but nothing was done about it throughout my stay. Cold dark room with no natural light or views. Along with the unbearable noise from the plumbing of the hot water pipes this motel is obviously well passed its best days. It is impossible to recommend the place considering the daily $ rates they charge. Go somewhere else.

Travelled here for business with my husband and my infant son just after they had reopened post flood. This hotel was hit hard by the flood and they are still in the process of rebuilding but couldn’t have been more accommodating. The room was very clean and well appointed. Management went above and beyond and will make your stay comfortable.

Thankyou so much for your wonderful review. My staff tries very hard to care for our guests. I'll be sure to tell the chef how much you enjoyed your dinner and hope to see you again soon under happy circumstances.

A comfortable motel with very helpful staff. The motel is a bit "tired" but the rooms are spacious, the staff friendly and well located beside the Workers Club. Not too far from the CBD and adjacent to parks and a shopping centre if you're dining in.
