Disappointing, but good location This motel was a major disappointment – definitely no comfort here, dont stay here! On arrival, we found the reception closed (at 4.45 pm, peak arrival time!), and had to call a remote check-in service who did not have any local knowledge about the doors, codes, etc. so it was rather a long and expensive call from a foreign number, just to get our key. Next problem – we had to call back again just to get the wifi password, as they forgot to tell us. The room was also a major disappointment – nothing like the photos in the hotels.com booking site, and as as the reception was closed, no-one to talk to or complain to . Although clean, very small, and poorly furnished, with vinyl floor, and the cheapest possible furniture, with one of the chairs broken. No hair dryer, no plates, no cutlery, no toaster or any other kitchen equipment either, and a very small bar fridge only. The room was basically just part of a covered car park space, with entry from a dinghy door from a tunnel-like concrete access drive. There was rubbish and junk all outside in the concrete parking area. Lismore had a major flood a few years ago and this may partly explain the shabby appearance. The reception next morning was sourly and unfriendly. Frankly, this student dorm standard and not a motel as a tourist expects in Australia. How could this possibly be part of the Comfort chain that usually guarantees minimum international standards? Avoid this motel at all cost!

When we got to the motel at 3pm the office was closed and they were booked out. So we were unsure of what was offered. The room was large with a separate lounge. My biggest concern was the bathroom. It had been cleaned but was so dirty. They had cleaned the centre of the room but all around the edges it was filthy. I will never stay here again. I would rather sleep in my car

Stayed here during a family holiday and it was an ordinary experience. Expected much better for the price and from the comfort inn chain. It’s like staying in a housing commission. There’s loud gronks everywhere who appear to be permanent residents. Reception was closed the whole time we were there, the room doesn’t get serviced at all. The parking lot is littered with garbage and there’s a dirty stinky dumpster in the middle. Residents take up most of the decent parking spots leaving nowhere to park for guests. The highlight was a bunch of Houso’s having a fight outside our room. We were wanting to go for dinner but we were too frightened to leave the room until the people dispersed. I would have raised these issues with reception but nobody is ever there. The room is ok, could be cleaner. The sliding screen door was completely stuffed and needed to be lifted in order to slide it. I wouldn’t recommend anybody stay here. Definitely not for families as it’s simply not safe.

I booked a family room for my three children and me. We didn’t need anything spectacular as were arriving late and checking out early, just comfortable, clean beds and a quiet place to sleep. This is however not what we found at the Comfort Inn. We felt awkward from the moment we arrived to the very busy, dated premises at around 9pm. There were numerous people partying on balconies and outside rooms. We picked up our keys and were disappointed to find out that there was not an allocated car park and instead we were to find a park. The car parking area was very narrow and full of cars with nowhere to park near our room. We had to reverse out the space is so cramped. I lugged our gear and three kids down the dimly lit driveway with a number of parties of people looking on, the room was not easy to find. It appeared that people were residents and not motel guests (given the amount of stuff you could see in their rooms), and sitting outside their rooms playing guitar and drinking. I’m all for merriment, don’t get me wrong, but preferably not right outside your motel room. The whole place looked grubby and dare I say it, a little “ghetto”. Cigarette butts lying around, dirty carpet outside the entrance to our room, people drinking everywhere. When we finally got in we realised the family room we booked was also shabby, with chipped tiles, tiles missing, and a general grubby feeling. We could still hear the music and partying outside so at this point, with three tired children, we decided to abort mission. This was not at all a family friendly motel and doesn’t deserve its three stars. We didn’t feel particularly safe, nor was it clean nor welcoming. I left a message on the after hours service explaining that we did not feel comfortable staying there and had returned the key. We called another motel at the last minute and they kindly accommodated us. They were welcoming and their rooms were pristine, and somehow cost less than the ghetto at Comfort Inn. I requested a refund, as I did not feel that the experience we had was in line with how the Comfort Inn markets itself, and the “family” room and the premises were not suitable for a family at all and not worth the $225 paid. I have however been refused a refund. Do not stay at this place.

The Comfort Inn suited our needs as it was in a great location in the middle of town. The staff were friendly, the price matched the facilities and our room was clean and tidy. It was close to the shops and restaurants and had off street parking. It was handy having free wifi. The room had obviously been refurbished at some stage but overall the motel was tired. The air conditioning was quiet, there was no traffic noise after 9 pm so we had a good nights sleep.

Stayed her of 1 night for work, requested a quite room and was given a room at the back m, upstairs, room 219. the room was clean with 1 queen and 1 single bed, it was spacious with plenty of room to move around, it had a ling desk with plenty of room for the TV and enough space to setup my laptop and also eat inner. The bathroom was clean and the sower had plenty of water pressure and hot water, the standard dispenser of shower gel shampoo etc were in the shower and also dispenser over the sink. As I requested a quite room I was not disappointed , never heard a noise all night, Unfortunately the restaurant had closed a week ago so I could not comment on that , although the PUB grub next door was fine.

Torn curtains, missing curtain hooks, stained curtains and stained bed cover. This place has gone downhill in big way. Absolutely terrible joint. Had to leave a $20 dollar deposit for the "mini bar" which consisted of a bottle of water and 2 cans of Coke. Certainly never staying here again.....

I’ll be honest the comfort inn is no 5 star resort, But it does what it’s needed for a clean room to have a good nights sleep. We stayed in the 2 room family room so it was quite spacious had two balconies if you need some fresh air and had a full size fridge. It was a lot cleaner then anything I was expecting. Bathrooms are a bit small and awkward but the extra toiletries were great. Beds comfortable but are getting very close to needing replacements. Staff members that we had contact with were really lovely. It is in a good position with a park for kids to play a few minutes walk and woolies and some food outlets to the back of it. I would recommend and if I was to ever stay in Lismore again I would stay myself.

Travelled to Lismore for business with some colleagues recently. We booked the family room which had enough beds for each of us. The room was comfortable, clean and tidy and had the essentials for us. The property is easy to find and centrally located near shops and cafes/restaurants. Would stay again.

Stayed for 1 night, asked for a quiet room. We were booked into 201, receptionist adamant a quiet room. I queried pub noise and apparently not an issue or mentioned before. The room was directly above the reception, right at top of stairwell, overlooking Molesworth Street, Pub next door. Noisy!!!! started to become really obvious from 8.15pm onwards. If not listening to people coming and going in the stairwell, music from the pub could be heard and the drag strip of Molesworth Street...Old, tired and noisy accommodation. Rooms are clean but need refurbishing. We have stayed in several other accommodation in Lismore on/near the Bruxner Highway previously and they were quieter! Would not recommend or stay here again.
