walks, drives, photos, amazing place, history, quiet but close to all goodies you need for a holiday, room could have a table to put stuff onto, bathroom basic but everything very clean, 200 words is too much for reviews

Great location, walking distance to train station and shops. But a little run down, however, it was relatively cheap but I would pay more to stay somewhere a bit nicer in the future. The room was clean, and the bed comfortable. We were only there for one night so it was ok. The breakfast for very basic, but again ok

We appreciate you taking the time to post a review Yes Leura House is an older style guest house and we try to keep it in line with the house being a historical guest house The problem if we modernise the guest house too much it looses it character Always difficult to find the right balance when guests arrive with... Had a lovely stay in the cottage, easy access to the town on Leura. Enjoyed walking around the town and having a meal in a nearby restuaran. Leuara House is very easy to get to from the Great Western Highway from Sydney.

Very interesting quirky place. Lots of history and beautiful old building. Host very accommodating and helpful with information about the local area. Breakfast was included and freshly made. Although very cold outside room kept warm with very sufficient heating. Different experience which we thoroughly enjoyed.

My husband and I stayed for a wonderful weekend for his birthday and found our accomodation beautiful. It was very cold but our room was warm and very cosy. We had a view of the mountains and we felt comfortable and welcome

We chose this accommodation because of it's historical significance. The host and owner of the residence was a quirky as the accommodation...in a very nice way. He was very welcoming and gave us a quick spiel about the house. The home was the first home ever built in Leura circa 1880. Our room was warm and comfy. The weather when... More

Thank you for your warm review! Being of historic significance, we have tried to keep the decor of the house in the same theme. Yes it is not modern but comfortable. We do get a lot of responses along the line of "It feels like my grandma's house! There is no other house like "Leura House" on the mountains See... More

The stay here was for the experience of the grand old building & it's heritage. So even though it's old, the comforts of sheets being crisp & white & towels soft & clean were just as they should be. Rooms are nice & warm - it's great for families. Gary is a great host & most helpful and attentive. We... More

My overall impression of Leura House is that it is run on a very very tight budget. We don't mind old fashioned furnishings and style, nor do we mind cracked windows, patched up basins, very worn carpet etc (room 2). However, it is the little things that are letting Leura House down. For example, if it is cold, put the... More

Thank you for your viewpoint. Rooms are serviced if the Service cards are put out; we are a guest house and not a motel. People have different expectations for what they want for breakfast. The house is always heated but I suppose how much heat depends on if you are from Queensland or Tasmania!! There are no terse notes; just... More
