Just happened to exit the motorway at Leura and saw a small "Guest House" sign. Went there, got a room and it was terrific. What a great find! Would recommend to anyone who wants something very special. Plus an excellent brew pub is a short walk away.

Thank you for your viewpoint There is always a balance between what is old and what is new. The majority of people who stay here like it as is and ask us not to change anything. But we understand we do not appeal to everyone But we thank you for taking the time to put pen to your thoughts Garry

Booked in to experience accommodation with some history, rather than the concrete boxes of modern motels. Wasn't disappointed. House built in 1880s - spacious room, modern facilities. Pleasant owners who are proud to maintain the heritage of the place. Leura Mall is a few steps away.

We've always stayed at Leura House whenever we go to Blue Mountains. We love Leura but we don't want to stay near the Mall so Leura House is a perfect location which is not too far. We're there for R&R so the place is conducive for it.

Was once a majestic house standing proudly on the hilltop. but now the old girl needs a facelift. I was expecting a little more for $190 a night. Maybe thats the problem my expectations were a bit high. Leura is a popular place and i suppose price is set by supply and demand but this place had plenty of rooms...

Thank you for your comments about Leura House Yes compared to a modern motel it may seem a bit tired; but awe are trying to keep it as a historic guest house, and that involves a balancing act between Historic and Modern. We do have a comments saying it needs modernising but it would loose its charm as an older...

If you want a very average experience then this is for you. Got in trouble b cause I came thru the wrong door when checking in. Historical old home with lots of "character". Not a romantic escape. The cottage was outdated and the breakfast was edible - barely.

A great location, but unfortunately that's about it. Rooms are tired. Very poor breakfast ("hope you like poached eggs, because that's all we do" - they were as hard as rock, and the coffee was appallingly weak). A great pity, as it's a beautiful old house.
