Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The park is not fancy but all the sites are drive through and very roomy. We were happy to see that even though it is a grass site it is fairly dry after all the rain they have had here. The service on booking in was very friendly and when we were looking around for wood to put under our supports one of the men in the workshop offered to cut up some pieces for us. The rates are very good and the amenities are clean and in good repair.

As we are 17m long it’s often hard to find somewhere that can accomodate us. Kempsey Tourist Village was able to do that with ease on a powered site. All ammenities were clean and the village had a lovely bush outlook. Host Mark was great, we will be back!

I came here at midnight and was welcomed with open arms. I was baited by the $35 sign which was for bunk sharing, but that was apparently vandalised... Though i think the price of $85 is very expensive for one quick night for one person i was relieved to find a pet friendly place! Unit was spacious and dust free and reasonably well equipped. Shower and bed comfortable and clean. No remote for tv (but clear instructions on its use) no bedside tables and lights but old aircon, fridge etc all worked fine. Freezer even refroze my ice block! Quiet and peaceful and $10 less than the average basic hotel room. Great for families, bedding for 6 - though im sure the charge would change. Now let's drive further south...

We were travelling back from Melbourne after Christmas and needed a quick one night camping stop over. Kempsey Tourist Village was a great choice. Minutes from the freeway, friendly managers, facilities were clean and a great outdoor bbq/eating area where you can mix with other travellers if you want to. The tent sites are near trees and you feel like you're in the country. Very peaceful.

Worst park ever. Rude owner. Everything is expensive. $5 Per person to have a swim in the pool while cameras are watching you. Cameras are everywhere and owner told us he watches them daily. All residents complain daily about living there. Loud due to huge Bunnings building being built across the road, they'll be working on that for the next 12 months at least. Owner is a liar and WILL manipulate you to get everything he wants on his side.

My wife and I were well looked after by Mark, who managed to squeeze our caravan in at short notice, after our planned accommodation fell through at the last minute. Mark even stayed behind after his closing time, and also met us out the front and personally directed us to our powered site. We were very appreciative as this prevented us from having to do a rough camp in an unknown location. We ended up staying for an extra night, and he personally met us and assisted us to leave on Day 3. We thoroughly recommend this park for other caravanners.

We are travelling north and happened across the Kempsey Tourist Village for an overnight night stop. We ended up spending a couple of nights. The park is well maintained, lovely drive through grassed powered sites. In a park like setting. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The amenities are clean and tidy. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm passing through Kempsey.

Extremely happy with my stay at Kempsey Tourist Village. Chelsea was extremely helpful and even gave my dogs a cuddle too!
I was heading from Byron bay to south of Sydney and it was the perfect stop over place. I’m going to book on the way home because I know it will be a relaxing stay!!!
Would recommend to anyone.

This park is very run down, nothing like what the website advertises. Some of the amenities are non existent, eg camp kitchen. The building that the 'camp kitchen' and laundry is in needs to be demolished. The park is under new management with the new park managers arriving the day before we had arrived. They were very pleasant and helpful. We were camping and they came down to our site and ensured we were OK and said that if the grass needed cutting they would do it. They have their work cut out to bring this park back up to a reasonable standard.
